[JS CS3] What does copyingProfiles parameter of packageForPrint method mean?

Hi all,
I wrote a script that packages all InDesign files in the selected folder — the script and its detailed description is here: http://kasyan.ho.com.ua/package_for_archive.html
But I can’t figure out what copyingProfiles parameter of packageForPrint method means?
First of all, I don’t see the corresponding checkbox in InDesign’s Package Publication dialog box.
Secondly, it makes no difference whether I set it to true or false: no profiles are copied.
The reference states: “copyingProfiles — bool — If true, copies color profiles to the package folder”.
But what profiles is it supposed to copy? The ones chosen in Color Settings dialog?

[Still OT ...] Weird.
7-Zip reports the compression of Windows' "Send to compressed folder" zips as "Deflate" -- I would say that's pretty old fashioned. Your file gets a description of "LZMA", which doesn't really tell me anything at all. Perhaps it's too old.[*]
[Really getting OT for InDesign Scripting] 7-Zip for Windows is free (http://www.7-zip.org/), fast, user friendly, can compress and unpack from the Explorer, and supports lots and lots of file types. Even a Mac archived .DMG file is not a problem! (You do need to know the basics of that, though.) Weirdest-I-found-so-far: you can "open" a Windows Executable program and extract its code and data segments ...
[Ed.] [*] Idly browsing the 7-zip site, I came across a description of its native compression:
"LZMA is default and general compression method of 7z format. The main features of LZMA method:"
(a list of super-modern features follows -- including multi- and P4-hyper-threading.)
That's what WinZip calls "legacy"? Boy am I getting old.

  • What does this parameter do "Force SQLExecute" in the background.

Can anybody tell me  what does this parameter does  "Force SQLExecute" in the background?
It is in the sbo file.

    Guarav,
I searched for your comment "Force SQLExecute" in the slew of BO XI R2 PDFs I have stockpiled away and found this entry in the PDF "boxir2sp2_readme_with_chf.pdf":
    -quote
    CHF14
    ADAPT00597178 Patch ID: 39,211,515
    Description:
When an SQL server ODBC connection is used, users are unable to create a Desktop Intelligence report that is based on a stored procedure that creates, populates, and then drops a temporary table.
    New Behavior:
    This problem is resolved.
    Known Limitations:
If users want to execute a stored procedure that creates, populates, and then drops a temporary table in Free-Hand mode, they can modify the odbc.sbo file:
    1. In a text editor, open the odbc.sbo file, which is in the following directory: <BOEINSTALLFOLDER>\BusinessObjects
    Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\odbc.sbo.
    2. In the sections "MS SQL Server 7.x", "MS SQL Server 2000" and "MS SQL Server 2005", locate the following line:
    <Parameter Name="Force SQLExecute">Procedures</Parameter>
    3. Replace the line with the following:
    <Parameter Name="Force SQLExecute">Always</Parameter>
    -unquote
So hopefully this tidibit of information helps you to understand the parameter and usage.
    Thanks,
    John

  • What does the Parameter attribute mean?

I am looking at proxy class generated by dot.net connector, following is the method I am looking at:

    [RfcParameter(AbapName= "IV_CONT_ITEM_GUID",RfcType=RFCTYPE.RFCTYPE_BYTE, Optional = true, Direction = RFCINOUT.IN, Length = 16, Length2 = 16)]
         [XmlElement("IV_CONT_ITEM_GUID", IsNullable=false, Form=XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)]
         byte[] Iv_Cont_Item_Guid,
what does Optional = true and IsNullable=false mean?
    thanks
    Yuwen

    HI Yuwen,
Optional = True means when u call the method, u have to or not to pass this parameter in the method call as per your need by setting attribute Removed equal false or true respectively.
Optional = False means when u call the method, u have to pass this parameter in the method call.
IsNullable= False means the value of this parameter can not be NULL while u call this method.

What does "network connection has timed out" mean?

It means that the destination server is taking too long to respond. This can sometimes be resolved by closing safari and reopening it, turning off your modem, and then after 10secs turning it back on, or if you have and airport extreme/express, or Time Capsule, restarting those.
    Good Luck

You will likely get better program help in a program forum InDesign
The Cloud forum is not about using individual programs
The Cloud forum is about the Cloud as a delivery & install process

  • What does call failed and call busy mean?

I call my bf on Skype every time I see him on there and it rings and eventually it says call failed and sometimes it will say call busy, what does call failed and call busy mean?

    WuTom wrote:
If a call is marked as "Call ended" does this guarantee the other person ended the call, or can it also mean the call disconnected or was dropped?
Was talking with someone and at one point the "Call ended - call dropped". Few other times it was just marked as "Call ended", they have bad internet. So is it possible the "Call ended" means the call was dropped due to internet or were they for definite hanging up?
    Thanks
    Hi WuTom,
From experience, it depends on the platform which you are using. In my case, my boyfriend is using Skype for iPhone and I am using Skype for Mac. Sometimes I find that the "Call ended - Call dropped" is the result of bad internet on my or his part. "Call Ended" on its own could mean one of two things, among others:
    1. A person accidentally touches the red end call button; or
    2. Skype crashes unexpectedly (either because of internet as you said or other issues such as flat battery)
This is just from my personal experience, but I do hope it clears some stuff up for you.

  • What does "Press F12 for BBS POPUP" mean when I switch my Equium on?

What does "Press F12 for BBS POPUP" mean when I switch my Equium on?
    Any idea? Thanks!

    Hi
I presume you are reading the message provided from POST (Power On Self Test)
There you can see different messages.
    As far as I know pressing F12 at the beginning of the boot process will enable the boot menu. Then you can choose between different boot options and boot devices;
So dont worry, its nothing unusual.
    I think it should be possible to disable this in the BIOS;
Check the option for Boot Settings Configuration / Quiet Boot -> Disabled or something like this.
Cannot remember exactly how the option is called.

  • What does 'kernel bug in process suhelperd' mean in very simple terms please

what does 'kernel bug in process suhelperd' mean in very simple terms please

    Hi,
Any that ends in a "d" tends to be a dameon process used by the System as a whole.
As in launchd is the process that make sure all the Extensions and Kexts that run the OS are started.
helper would refer to a specific thing  (the info you posted offers no reference to that and I don't know off the top of my head)
The su would probably refer to the permissions this item has at that moment in time (su is normally a Terminal Instruction allowing temporary but high level access).
Without more info about a possible link to an action within the OS or an app it would be hard to say if it is a real concern.
It seems to refer to a conflict.  It could be that the item is not written for the current OS, is outdated via Upgrades for instance, or written in a way that is now Protected by the way the current OS works.
Console Messages can be helpful when you can attribute them to specific events such as a Crash Log or the Action in an App matching a Time in the Log (you generally have to be watching).

What does unreadable file and unrecognizable format mean in my iphoto 11?

A number of people have reported issues with some models of Kodak cameras and iPhoto. Reformatting the card with the camera usually solves the issue. Make sure you have the photos off the card first (Image Capture - in your Applications Folder - may help with that) as reformatting will erase the card.
