Hi, using JSplitPane to display two components and the one touch buttons are very useful for showing one or the other or both of them in a fixed ratio of size to each other. However the actual dragging of the JSplitPane just allows silly sizes to be set for the components so I want to disable the drag action of the JSplitPane bar but keep the onetouch functionality. The UI classes look complicated :-(
Anyone done this before?

I'm using SPA504G phones with IP-PBX ZyXEL X8004. One-touch buttons is configured as described in manuals: fnc=sd+cp+blf; sub=UserID@$PROXY
Here is my problem: when I want to transfer incoming call to other extension by pressing desired One-touch button, it executes a BLIND transfer, not attended transfer. There's two interesting fields on SIP tab of the web interfacenamed 'Hold Target Before REFER' and 'Keep Referee When REFER Failed', but changing of values of them does not changing result.
Please explain meaning of these fields to me, how it works and what should I do to retrieve ATTENDED TRANSFER by pressing One-touch button.

For me to answer this question I would need to set up one in our lab and see if that works. For that, I would suggest you to give us a call at 1-866-606-1866 at any time so we can create a case and assist you further.
Meanwhile, you can try to turn off the Blind transfer (Phone-->Supplimenting Services) and that should allow the attendent transfer. Then, add xferlx to the ringing key list. So, while the call is either ringing or is connected, press the *xferLx line key. If only one other call is on hold, the active call is connected to the call on hold. Otherwise, the user is prompted to select the Line key to transfer the call to.

How to disable Satellite P750's touch buttons?

I constantly have a problem with my computer that it turns up the volume by itself because it thinks I'm tapping on the increase volume touch button.
Anyway, it's really annoying, so can I disable the touch sensors so it will stop doing it?

If you use original preinstalled Win7 check please if you can find this option in Toshiba Assist > Optimize > Toshiba Hardware setup > Button setting > Function button.
As far as I know Toshiba hardware setup utility control BIOS option so what you can also do is to enter BIOS settings, check if such option is available there and disable it there directly.

How do I mute iPad 2 completely with a one touch button?

I have switched to mute on 1. The physical mute switch, apparently only for notifications 2. The up, down volume button, pressing and holding the down button.
Thinking that it's on mute, I clicked on a video clip during a meeting and Lo and behold, the clip played with sound! WTH! later I double clicked on the home button and the vol there was not on mute! Is my unit faulty?? And is there anyway I can fix a one step button to COMPLETELY mute my iPad 2? Don't want to check 3 steps just to make it mute.

I am begging Apple to allow an additional audio setting for Mute All Audio Unconditionally. In my line of classical music work, I absolutely cannot be worrying about accidental music outbursts or alert sounds. I shouldn't have to use a dummy plug. Volume Off should simply mean Volume Off; I can't imagine any other audio device in the history of music playback equipment not working like this.

Canoscan 9000F One-Touch Buttons: What 'Registered Software Application' Do I Need?

I have a Canoscan 9000F Mark II. I'm trying to get the scanner buttons to work with it -- particularly the COPY button. I've installed all available Canon software for Windows 7 (x64) for this scanner. When I hit the COPY button, I get this dialog box:
So I went into the Scanner Properties for the scanner and found this Events tab. But for every scanner button including COPY, it says "No application is registered for this event." It won't let me select anything other than Take No Action. The other choices are grayed out:
If I go to the original Canoscan 9000F (NOT the Mark II version) drivers and software page, I see this software called MP Navigator EX. I installed that just for the heck of it, since none of the Mark II apps seemed to want to register as a "registered app" for this function.
When I did that, it actually put that as a choice (the only choice) by Start This Program:
I thought that would do the trick, but then when I hit the COPY button, I get this dialog box:
So I figure that MP Navigator EX is missing from the Mark II download page for a reason -- it's for the original 9000F and is not compatible with the Mark II.
OK...so...what IS compatible?
What app do I need to "register" for this buttons in order for them to work?
I'm completely stumped. Someone please help; I'd greatly appreciate it.

So, I went through Canon Support. The rep not only had no idea how to fix the problem -- he first tried to deny that the problem existed at all, using phrases such as, "it SHOULDN'T need any other app in order to work," "you SHOULDN'T be getting that message from the Canon software," "it SHOULD work as long as you have the Canon Toolkit installed." Uh huh. Except that I obviously do, I am, and it doesn't.
He was also completely unaware that there are TONS of forum messages and other posts on the Internet about the same or similar problem. Tons of them. A Google search came up with 193,000 results. The rep said that this is the first time he'd heard of anything like this. Which means he's either lying or blatantly ignorant.
After about 45 minutes of repeating myself, and then finally pointing him to the pretty screenshots on this thread here (which he first, when I offered to give him the link, quickly dismissed as, "that won't be necessary,"), he finally decided that the problem was going to have to be escalated to the engineers.
That was a week ago. Most likely my request just went into the round file and was quickly forgotten. I'll be VERY surprised if I hear back again on it. Suspect I'll have to call again, get another rep, and go through the same stupid routine all over again.
Nice job, Canon. How about checking your forums once in a while? Do a Google search on this problem, for crying out loud. It's NOT an isolated case, by any means. It NEEDS to be fixed, and PRONTO!

Unable to control one-touch Audio and Wifi Icons on - HP Pavilion DV6-1235ee

Hello All,
For a week or so, I am not able to enable/disable my Audio (even volume control) or Wifi buttons using the one-touch button (on the the same panel of power switch) in my HP Pavilion DV6-1235ee laptop. I restarted few times and re-installed the chipset driver and input driver guessing it might help, to no result.
I've not done anything strange in the computer but installed few application related to my job. And I am not used to regularly shutting down or rebooting my computer but keep it locked.
My OS: Windows 7 Professional X64

Hi,
It's always worth trying a Hard Reset as follows.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and see start the notebook.

External USB Maxtor One-Touch 3 suddenly fails to mount on MacBook Pro:

External USB HD suddenly fails to mount on MacBook Pro:
My One Touch III 600GB drive, external power supply, suddenly will not mount and is not recognized by the system profiler or Disk Utility, however, drive, connected USB, appears under windows XP.
1. Power cable and usb cable working.
2. Using external AC adapter(not relying on USB power).
3. Other USB devices, mice, flash drives work on both USB ports.
4. Drive works on Windows, folders and data integrity ok.
5. Drive format is NTFS.
6. No Maxtor software installed.
7. No humming or strange noises emanating from drive.
8. No problem to January 14, 2008,
9. Mac OS 10.4.10 updates last downloaded and installed Jan 20, 2008.
10.1 blip of the light on "The One Touch Button", then light turns solid white.
Questions:
1. Does Apple set sleep or lock switch for devices (drives)?
2. If so, can it be reset manually?
3. Does Apple have configuration profile for devices, like a registry key?
4. If so, where is it located?

Maxtor One Touch II USB/firewire Ext HD won't mount

The drive shows up on the bus, but does not mount, and also does not show up with Disk Utility. I've taken it to the Apple Genius Bar and they couldn't find the problem, and said they only had 15 minutes to dedicate to me anyway. The drive didn't show on their MBP either. I've had this connected to my G4 for the past year, with no problem, and it still functions just fine there.
As another note, my Canon G6 Powershot, which has previously mounted on this machine (The MBP) via USB, no longer does. I can download photos directly into Iphoto, but the drive never mounts to the desktop.
I've tried both the USB and Firewire options with my external, with the same results. I need to download my photos from the MBP to the external, as it's getting pretty full. I noticed in another forum that FWT mode was not working with non-Intel macs prior to 10.3.9. but it's still not working between my G4 and the MBP.
I know there are several issues here, but was hoping someone could help me sort them out if I dump the whole scenario.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a one touch II that I purchased to use to backup and store files for my mbp.
Mine mounted correctly, but the one touch button did not work. After trying to fix it myself, I called the Maxtor tech support, and they said that they don't support using their drives or their software with intel based macs. Of course they only told me that after spending a long time on the phone.
So the only advice I can give to you is to not try Maxtor's tech support; it will be a waste of time.
Or perhaps your USB ports are broken and need to be replaced on your mbp.

One touch to clear Finder?

Back in OSX 10.3, there was a one touch button command that would clear all the open documents and applications to reveal the Finder. It was very useful to locate something kept on the Finder, and eliminated moving things around to see behind them.
In OSX 10.5, there is the F3 button, which reveals all open pages and applications.
Is there a one-button command to reveal the Finder?

in system preferences go to expose + spaces, check that "show desktop" is set to "f11" next go to the main system pref meu and go to "keyboard and mouse". Check that Use all f1, f2 keys as standard function is ticked. should work now.

JSplitPane divider (One touch expandable)

I am having some problems with the JSplitPane divider. I am using onetouch expandable.
I want to stop the divider moving all the way up to the top of the window when the up arrow is clicked on. When you drag the divider up it stops near the top but doesn't go all the way up. but click on the up arrow on the divider bar and it rises completely to the top. How can I stop this from happening.
I have managed to add an action listener to the buttons on the divider bar, In the action listener I do the following - splitPane.setDividerLocation(0.1);

I have partial solution to the above problem but in doing so have encountered another problem that I can see no solution to. Can anyone help?
I have a calss that extends BasicSplitPaneDivider and in this calss i overide the OneTouchActionHandler with a version that sets the top value to be the top of the frame + the height of the component I want left shown. My problem is that this code never runs. The origional OneTouchActionHandler in the BasicSplitPaneDivider runs not my version. How can I get my version to run.
The version in BasicSplitPaneDivider is protected.

I am wanting to create a kiosk using the ideacentre A300 series. I can configure Windows 8 to function like a kiosk, but I can't get the physical buttons on the computer to either turn off, or to disable temporarily (I realize the buttons cannot be configured by windows).
If anyone has any information regarding this request or if they have any information in regards to what type of touch interaction the display has (touch sensitive by heat, pressure, etc.).

How to disable when one radio button is selected

One of our requirement is as follows,
Scenario: We have two columns with radio buttons and two dropdown box for the same columns to select the values.
Requirement: When user select one radio button then the other radio button and its relevant dropdown both is disabled.
Radio Buttons:
Company
EmpNo
Dropdown Box:
Company
EmpNo
If CompName Radio button is selected then Radio Buttom and Dropdown Box for Policy Id is disabled.
Finally, The filter is applied on CompName to populate the values in dropdown

my 2 year old daughter is playing my phone . . .
i dont know what happened or what she just clicked . . .
suddenly a voice came out on every thing that i would do . . .
there is no one touch access to everything . . .
i have to double click everything just to go inside every folder and everything i do, a voice will tell you what folder you are in . . .
or what page you are in . . . i want to revert all of this back to itz original state . . . no voice promts anf one touch sensor to operate any apps...
