Jspx page with ADF tables - complete reload

Probably a stupid question, but how is it possible to reload and update page and all the data in adf tables via button action.
I don't want PPR, just complete reload.

Hello,
Sorry for the late response.
I dont understand why you would want the table to be refreshed since the data you commit all came from this page so it should all still be valid.
But if you want to do this, just bind a button to the execute method of the parent table.
This forces the query to be re-executed and all childs should be refreshed automaticly.
In your pagedef just add the execute method as an action, the iterator should be the one of the parent application and then bind a button to this action.

  • No cell merge possible with adf table?

    i know that there is no cell merge possible with adf table.
    however i read that with trinidad table it's possible.
    my table has data like this:
    d1 - tommy - 5
    d1 - tommy - 7
    d2 - burpy - 3
    d2 - burpy - 4
    d2 - tom - 7
    now i have to merge first column (dog id) where id is same -
    d1 - tommy - 5
    --- - tommy - 7
    d2 - burpy - 3
    --- - burpy - 4
    --- - tom - 7
    i am creating this dog table thru a data control on jspx page.
    can anyone suggest some help?
    or will i have to use html table for it? i really want to avoid html.
    thanks.

    Or use inlined iterators to layout the dataonly issue with pivot table is it doesn't display header for left columns unless u take ur cursor there.
    tree table is completely different kind of view - imo.
    didn't get much help on inlined iterators - can u plz post more details on this?
    thanks.

  • Problem with adf tables in dynamyc region

    Hello.
    I have a problem when use ADF tables within dynamic regions. It happens that if the table is inside the first task flow that is loaded (by default) in the dynamic region, retrieves the data perfectly, but if the table is in a second, third and so on. task flow, does not retrieve data. This happens only with adf tables and graphics, if I use a component form, for example, does not present any problem.
    Any idea that can be happening?
    I'm using Jdveloper 11.1.1.1.0
    Appreciate any ideas or help with this problem

    Hi,
    set the managed bean scope for the bean that switches between the regions to a scope larger as request: for example, set it to viewScope or pageFlowScope. This fixes the problem

    Hi,
    Modify your method to call super.doDML() after initialization of mandatory attributes as below:
    protected void doDML(int operation, TransactionEvent e) {
         oracle.jbo.domain.Date dt = new Date();
         if(operation ==DML_INSERT){
              //PRE-INSERT code begins
           EntityDefImpl cmSubscribers=CmSubscribersImpl.getDefinitionObject();
           CmSubscribersImpl newSubscribers=(CmSubscribersImpl)cmSubscribers.createInstance2(getDBTransaction(),null);
           Number n=new Number(1599);
           newSubscribers.setCreatedBy(n);
           newSubscribers.setCreationDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdateDate(dt);
           newSubscribers.setLastUpdatedBy(n);
           //PRE-INSERT code ends
           super.doDML(operation, e);
           //POST-INSERT code if any
         }else
            super.doDML(operation, e);
    }Sireesha

  • Issue with ADF table range paging and sorting

    Hello,
    We have a requirement to support pagination in ADF tables. For this, we have made use of Range paging access mode in the view object level. The paging works perfectly fine with this. But we have another requirement of letting the user do a sort on the table (Yes!! The paginated table). The sort should be applied on all rows in the db and the control should return to the first row.
    Applying sort as it is provided by the fwk, sorts the records in the obtained range only. So we have over ridden the Sort listener in Managed bean for this and are able to acheive the sorting of all rows through a AM method call. We are seeing a problem after this. If the sort action is applied to the key attribute then the previous and next range navigation works fine. If the same action is applied to non-key field, then some times (yea!! This is not consistent) the next set is not fetched.
    Here is the code snippet that is called on Next navigation:
    Map<String,Object> pfScope = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getPageFlowScope();
    Object objPageNumber = pfScope.get("pageNumber");
    int pageNumber = 0;
    if(null != objPageNumber)
    pageNumber = new Integer(objPageNumber.toString()).intValue();
    BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    JUCtrlRangeBinding view = (JUCtrlRangeBinding)bindings.getControlBinding("GeDmRequestVO");
    int iRange = getTable().getAutoHeightRows();
    int currentPage = view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart()/(iRange + 1);
    System.out.println("Before " + view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart());
    System.out.println("Current : " + currentPage);
    System.out.println("Page Number : " + pageNumber);
    System.out.println("Range : " + iRange);
    System.out.println("Value : " + iRange*(currentPage + pageNumber));
    view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().scrollRange(iRange*pageNumber);
    System.out.println("After " + view.getIteratorBinding().getNavigatableRowIterator().getRangeStart());
    Although, the new values are not refreshed in the table, the SOPs for before and after print the proper range sizes. And as I mentioned above, the above code works perfectly fine if there is no sort applied or when key attribute is sorted.
    Would appreciate your help on this regard with navigation after non-key attribute sort.
    Thanks,
    Chitra.

    Hi Chitra,
    Can you specify some links to implement RangePaging.....We need to implement pagination.If possible can you share the code or specify the steps how you achieved it.
    Thanks

  • How to save the modified rows in jspx page usind adf default commit action

    Hi,
    We are displaying some columns of the database table in jspx page. Here we are using adf commit action to save these values to database which is updating all the rows by default. In this page there are some editable columns which the user can miodify. How can we update only these modified rows using default adf commit action. Also we want to update last_updated_date column of that particular row which is modified in the UI from backing bean .
    Can anyone please help us in solving this.
    Thanks in advance

    User,
    A key question - what are you using for the model layer (ADF Business Components, JPA, EJB, etc)?
    How are you determining that a "commit" action is updating rows (even those which haven't changed)?
    If you are using ADF Business Components - have a read in the documentation about history columns - the use case you describe (updating the last_udpdated_date column) is supported "out-of-the-box" for this.

  • [SOLVED :)] Need help with adf table row selection

    Hi,
    In my application I am displaying results in a table. The DisplayRow property of table is set to Selected
    There are Next and Back buttons which help user to view details associated to the next/previous rows.
    I am using ADF 11g
    When user clicks Next or Previous button, then the selection of the row should also gets updated
    To achieve this i wrote below piece of code:
    this.tblS.getSelectedRowKeys().clear();+
    this.tblS.setRowIndex(count);+
    RowKeySet rks =  tblS.getSelectedRowKeys();+
    rks.add(tblS.getRowKey());+
    rks =  tblS.getSelectedRowKeys();+
    ISSUE:_
    When i run application and click Next/Previous Button, all functionalities do take place properly, but a null pointer exception is also thrown._+
    If i remove DisplayRow property of table from Selected to Default, every thing works good and no Exception is thrown_+
    But as records in my table are going to be around 50-60 everytime, i need to set DisplayRow property of table to Selected.
    Is there any way to achieve this? Solve this problem?
    Some more details:_

    Hi Arun,
    Thanks for replying.
    Actually in my application there is one result table and a section that is displaying complete details of the product selectd in result table.
    The next/previous buttons are not binded with result table.
    What I am doing is, I am puuliing data from VO and displaying it on form, whenever any of these buttons is clicked.
    As soon as these buttons are clicked data is coming up, but selection state of table is not getting updated.
    So to update selection state i wrote piece of code described in my previous post.
    Everything works fine if displayRow property of table is not set to selected.
    If i set display row property of table to selected, then i get a null pointer exception with message log defined in previous post.
    Although NPE is thrown, yet all data is properly fetched and table selection is also updated. But am not able to get how this NPE is coming and hpw to fix it .
    (I need to keep displayRow = selected, for all other cases NPE is not thrown)
    Please help..
    Thanks and Regards

  • Strange issue with ADF table in chrome browser

    I have ADF table which should display 23 rows, but only 20 rows are visible in chrome browser, but other browsers like IE, firefox displays the 23 rows correctly. I have used default ADF table with Drag&drop behaviour in this table. All the 23 rows exported correctly to Excel with export to Excel behaviour and inspect page source also shows all the rows in Chrome browser, but display in the adf is only problem in chrome browser. We're having a production issue with this, any ideas are appreciated.

    Hi All,
    Is this issue fixed yet? There are a couple of threads reporting this issue and the original thread has been Archived. It is a real issue, and it remains an issue. The Chrome browser cuts off the last row of a table in the display. IE displays the row correctly. I am working with JDev 12.1.2 and I am building an application using ADF Tables. Without exception, on every page that has one, the last row of the table is cut off from display in a very ugly way and you cannot scroll down to display the full row. I have tried wrapping the table in a Panel Collection - same result, I have tried setting the height of the table - same result. I have tried surrounding the table with a PanelGroupLayout component (layout set to scroll) - same result. I have even tried surrounding the table with a PanelHeaderComponent component, Type set to both default and Stretch - yes, you guessed it, same result! I've even put the table in the middle of a PanelStretchLayout component - but the last row is always cut off.
    This should be easy for you to reproduce, just drop a data control on a ADF page and select a table. When you view it in the Chrome browser and you will see what I'm talking about. I'm using Google Chrome version 31.0.1650.63 m.
    I have experimented with AFStretchWidth and AutoHeightRows (as suggested by previous threads), nothing seems to work.
    Here's another suggestion, if the forum would allow you to insert an image, I could actually show you what I'm talking about. Food for thought perhaps?
    Best regards,
    Nigel

  • Issue with ADF Table bound to a View Object Iterator??

    Can anyone say what would prevent an ADF table bound to a View Object Iterator from displaying all the records retrieved by the View Object Query?
    I ran the query directly from sqlplus and it returned 21 rows, However when i use the same exact query in my view object and display the result in a ADF table, only 10 rows are retrieved and displayed in the table ?
    Help .. Please ???

    The ADF table is actually set to use 'Include Range Navigation' and to display 20 rows each time. However, only a 10 rows are retrieved and displayed and the other 10 rows are displayed as blanks with only the Table selection radio buttons in the Select Column.
    e.g.
    Select Data1 Data 2
    o xxxxxx xxxxxx
    o xxxxxx xxxxxx
    o
    o
    o
    o
    The four 'o' are blanks even though there is data to be displayed.

  • Manual Data binding with ADF table?

    Hi,
    I am making a stored procedure call for fetching data from database on the click of action button. My query has a where clause in it. I am not able to bind my adf table manually with my data control. Can anyone provide me some link for binding my ADF table with data control manually? My requirement is like : - I have one table in which I am displaying data in ADF table. I want to display data in another table on click of some id in the coulmn of first table.

    You basically have two options - you can choose to use ADF Binding - and have your Java class return a collection - then you just right click the class to expose it as an ADF Data control.
    Or if you rather not use ADF Binding, then you'll need to have a managed bean that returns a collection and you can use "regular" JSF binding to bind the table to it.
    The second option is shown in the ADF Faces Components demo: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/adffaces/11/doc/demo/adf_faces_rc_demo.html

  • Accessing properties files in jspx page in ADF Generic application

    Hi All
    I have created an genric application .I have jdevloper 11.1.1.3.I need to add the .properties file in my application and access that properties file in my .jspx page.
    so i have created the Resources folder and added the properties file in that folder and now i am trying to access that contents of that properties file in my jspx page using below code
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
              xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
              xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
              xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">
              <f:loadBundle basename="Resources.sampleproperty" var="props"/>
               <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl1">
                 <af:outputText value="testing"  id="ot1" />
                  <af:outputText value="#{props['sample.label.text1']} " />
                  <af:outputText value="#{pageFlowScope.UserId}" />
              </af:panelGroupLayout>
    </jsp:root>but iam not able to access the propert and blank page is only displayed
    so what more steps i need to do to access it?
    Note:-previously i created the application of type Fusion Web Application ,where it added the folder named view and we used to add the .property file in it and accessed the contents of the .property file using above code and tthe above code was running fine.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi All
    I solved this issue
    by adding the following code in faces config.xml
    <application>
    <resource-bundle>
         <base-name>com.property.sampleproperty</base-name>
          <var>props</var>
        </resource-bundle>
    </application>note :The sampleproperty.properties should be present in java package com.property.sampleproperty

    Which jdev version do you use?
    You can use the current row of the iterator the take use.
    DCIteratorBinding iterBind= (DCIteratorBinding)dcBindings.get("te stIterator"); String attribute = (String)iterBind.getCurrentRow().getAttribute("field1");Timo

  • Null pointer exception in Search page with ADF

    Hi,
    I have an entity and view object for table1. I created one more viewobject for the same entity object. And the viewobject has the following query with a bind variable.
    select * from table1 where table1.value = :bindVar
    I added this view object into my application module. I dragged and dropped the 'ExecutewithParams' option into my jsp page. I was trying to run this page to atleast get the search field. But I am getting following exception.
    javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.NullPointerException     at com.sun.faces.el.ValueBindingImpl.getValue(ValueBindingImpl.java:190)     at com.sun.faces.el.ValueBindingImpl.getValue(ValueBindingImpl.java:143)     at com.sun.faces.util.Util.evaluateVBExpression(Util.java:974)     at com.sun.faces.taglib.jsf_core.ConvertNumberTag.evaluateExpressions(ConvertNumberTag.java:256)     at com.sun.faces.taglib.jsf_core.ConvertNumberTag.createConverter(ConvertNumberTag.java:219)     at javax.faces.webapp.ConverterTag.doStartTag(ConverterTag.java:130)     at com.sun.faces.taglib.jsf_core.ConvertNumberTag.doStartTag(ConvertNumberTag.java:205)     at resources.jsp._CRSCF001._jspService(_CRSCF001.java:149)     [resources/jsp/CRSCF001.jsp]
    I tried the same search page with a new workspace. But it worked well.
    I am not able to figure out what went wrong with the application.
    Could anyone please help me with this issue?
    Thanks,

  • Calling a css user created method from jspx page in ADF faces

    Hi all,
    Can anyone help me out to solve an issue calling a css user created method from a jspx page.
    Note: The css method is not the default css method. It needs to be called using 'styleClass' attribute in any tag.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I am not an expert in CSS so I don't know what a css method is. However, CSS can be applied to components via EL accessing a managed bean that returns the sytle text

  • Problem with adf table when adding component in table column.

    Hi All,
    i am using jdev version 11.1.1.5.0.
    use case: i have created one adf table which is based on DC VO. now i have added one select one radio group component(which contain 4 radio button approved ,reject,back,None) in adf table.
    table have many rows for example in first row i have select approved and to next row i have select reject now when i get value of radio group in backing bean using component binding i got last selected value.(in that case reject).
    And second is that when i set radio button value for current row using binding like
    rb.setValue("R") then reject option selected for all rows.
    so my question is that-
    how can i get and set value of select one radio group in row level using component binding.

    Hi,
    I don't see a reason for not using a transient attribute for the radioGroup in your previous reply.
    Here is the example i tried.
                            <af:selectOneRadio label="#{bindings.DeptView1.hints.DeptnoRadio.label}" id="sor1"
                                    value="#{row.bindings.DeptnoRadio.inputValue}">
                                <af:selectItem label="A" value="A" id="si1"/>
                                <af:selectItem label="B" value="B" id="si2"/>
                                <af:selectItem label="C" value="C" id="si3"/>
                                <af:selectItem label="D" value="D" id="si4"/>
                                <af:selectItem label="E" value="E" id="si5" disabled="#{row.bindings.EnableDisable.inputValue}"/>
                            </af:selectOneRadio>Where DeptnoRadio is the transient attribute i've created (which will have some random values between A and E), and EnableDisable is another transient variable of boolean type which would return true or false based on some condition.
    Now, for every row, the value is different (and corresponding radio button is selected) and for a row, which matches the condition, the option E is disabled.
