Jtable, focus and blinking cursor

Hello,
perhaps a solution for my problem is already posted here, but I didn't find it here so far.
I have an editable table with JTextField cell editors. The cell editor doesn't inherit from DefaultCellEditor but from AbstractCellEditor (I tried it with DefaultCellEditor and it didn't work too). On traversing the table with the Tab-Key the next cell can be edited, but there is no blinking cursor visible (not until the first input is made into the Textfield).
My question is: Does anybody know a way to make the cursor blink directly after the Tab-Key has been pressed?
Thank you in advance,
Marvin

Thanks qussev,
that looks promising but I cannot find more than a picture (no code) where the focus is outside the selection. Does anybody know how this can be done?

  • Windows 7 64-bit black screen and blinking cursor for ages before boot

    Help!
I'm having the black screen with blinking cursor whenever I try and boot up Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit thru Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro. If i let it just sit there for maybe 2 or 3 minutes, it then goes to the Windows Boot Manager screen and allows me to click on Windows 7 and the it boots perfect. I've tried installing it twice, same thing. No problem booting OS X Snow Leo 10.6.3. Got the right NVidia drivers installed, makes no difference. Have Paragon NTFS installed so I can get thru to NTFS partition from OS X. I badly need Windows too and don't wanna slow it down by running it in Parallels or VMWare Fusion. A little help?
    Thanks a lot!

  • T61p, Word 2013 and blinking cursor

I have been running Windows 7 Ultimate and Office 2010 Pro Plus on my T61p 6457 and all was working well, until I uninstalled Office 2010, and installed Office 2013 Pro Plus, and ran Lenovo System Update to check all the latest drivers were installed.
When I open up Word 2013 - the cursor continuously blinks - I checked setting under control panel/keyboard properties and mouse driver (16.0.2).
How do I remove the blinking cursor please?

We're seeing the exact same thing on pretty much all our Office 2013 upgraded customer environments.
We are a large hosted desktop provider, using mostly Citrix. However, tests revealed that this is also showing when just connecting through RDP, which pretty much rules out Citrix as a culprit.
All these environments use VMware as Hypervisor for the Citrix servers, but all are a different version and/or patchlevel, ranging from ESX4.1 all the way to ESX5.5.
At the moment we haven't upgraded to SP1. As mentioned earlier it did not help. We're planning to upgrade anyway, just to double check if the problem is fixed with any of the undocumented fixes that are coming with the SP1 upgrade.
In terms of end-users i'd say that we have approximately 2500 users affected by this issue.
A call will be placed with Microsoft Tech Support to have this investigated further in the coming week(s) after we've gathered all relevant information and data.
We'll also be setting up a lab environment to help us resolve this issue together with Microsoft.
FYI: Using 16bit color graphics forced by the Citrix Published Desktop did not resolve the issue. The cursor is still stuck. Unable to test using native RDP at this moment.
Any help from Microsoft representatives is greatly appreciated.
    Did you found a solution?

  • JTable Focus and InputVerifier nightmares

I have been wrestling with JTable in 1.3 and 1.4, specifically its focus management and InputVerifiers.
I have searched all over to find out why there is abnormal behavior in the focus manager, while overriding, setting properties to terminate a cell being edited, etc.
I found ways to get the cell editors to provide InputVerifier support, though there are still quirks in some instances where the InputVerifier is not consulted.
So to the Swing team, great job so far really...but the JTable really needs a LOT of work and bug votes don't make up for a non-releasable product.

  • Windows 7 and blinking cursor issue...

(Just an FYI...I originally posted this in the MBP forum because I didn't realize there was a bootcamp forum)
I recently had my computer repaired through AppleCare.  They replaced the logic board, top cover, a connector and battery.  When I first got the computer back, I turned it on, booted to the Mac partition, everything was good.  I then booted to Windows with the Bootcamp partition and everything was good.  Even the stuff I had open before the damage were still up.  I shut it down, boxed everything up and didn't touch it until I got home.
When I got home, I booted up Windows 7 and now all I get is it boots to a black screen with the cursor.  I ran the repair utility, tried safe mode and it says no errors are found, however, it still won't load.  I haven't figured out why it booted up the first time I got the computer back but now it won't do anything.  I never got a chance to back everything up because my computer was damaged from liquid damage, but I can still see all the files on my Bootcamp partition through finder from the Mac side.
I don't know exactly why it's doing this or what to search to find an answer to the problem.  When I first got my MBP, I installed Windows 7 through and upgrade disc from my job, so I don't know what my next steps should be.
    Other steps:
Tried WinClone to copy the drive and it gave me an error message on the log.
Tried to run system repair several times and it came back with no errors.  Same for memory diagnostic tool.  Everytime I run the repairs, it finds no errors but still boots up to the black screen with cursor.  Ugh, this is so frustrating.
Right now I have most of my files backed up on my external drive, but I still want to find a way to clone the drive and then it looks like my only choice is to do a clean install.  How do I do that? Someone else set up the partition for me when I got my computer, so I don't know how to remove the version of Windows 7 to do a clean install or if I have to start messing with the partition.  I only have an upgrade disk.
Any more thoughts?  I thought about calling AppleCare but I doubt they'd help since it's Windows 7, but it was not doing this before the repair.  I guess I'm lucky I still have access to the files.

    Leeopard huh?
You need Snow Leopard w. 10.6.x to get 3.0.
If it works and no issues fine though probably the first time I have read someone did.
BC 2.2 was more about XP and some support for Vista.

  • Hp dv6t won't go past blue screen blinking cursor

    Hello,
Please help me figure this out!  I have looked at the boards for days and weeks but cannot solve my problem.  No matter what i have tried so far, I cannot get past the blue screen with blinking cursor.  A couple months ago I was out of town and blue screen came up i was able to hit F4 rapidly and eventually get it to work several different times that trip.  Now however, I cannot get anything but blue screen and blinking cursor.  Thanks in advance for any help!  Heidi

    Hi @heididmn1800000,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I am sorry to hear that you cannot get passed a blue screen on your HP dv6t PC. I will try my best to help you with this. To better guide you, could you please tell me the full model or product number of your computer and the operating system that is running on it. Here are some guides for How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? and Which Windows operating system am I running?.
In the meantime, here is a document for Troubleshooting Error Messages on a Blue Screen that may Occur During Startup or Boot, that may have a solution for you.
I hope this helps, please let me know how it goes.

  • HTML component blinking cursor and combobox problems

    Hi there.
I have a problem using a website displayed with the HTML component in a spark window. In any textfield in this homepage there is no blinking cursor displayed which is not really a problem but is still pretty confusing to the users. Another issue comes up with the comboboxes where the possible choices cannot be clicked with the mouse. Choosing an entry with the keyboard is possible though.
To reproduce this issue, add a html component in a spark window and load for example http://www.ard.de. The cursor is blinking in the search textfield in the top left. After clicking on the combobox on the left side - where i can't choose an entry with the mouse - the cursor in the textfield is no longer displayed.
    Is this a known issue?
    Best regards

    Hi,
I've looked at your example and found the following 2 issues:
    1. The cursor not appearing was actually a focus issue and you can fix it by adding an event listener on "windowActivate" in which to re-set the focus to the _htmlWindow. See the code below for more details on "onActivate()"
    2. The issue with the dropdown is actually a bug (internal bug id #2721855) and it has been fixed in the next version of AIR which will be released towards the end of this year.

  • Blinking cursor and Satellite C850-1NU does not boot up

    Hi
    I did something really stupid!
Recently I installed ubuntu on My toshiba laptop. During a part where it was downloading things, I turned my laptop off because i thought it was frozen. I turned it back on, but all there was was a black screen with a white flashing "_". I put in an old Windows XP disc to see if i could install it but, still nothing happened.
And the laptop came installed with Windows 8 x64 if that helps.
Do I need to buy a new BIOS chip, or what?

    Hi
The issue is not related to BIOS problem.
The blinking cursor in the left upper corner can appear due to faulty HDD or RAM malfunction.
It can be possible that you damaged the HDD booting partition due to the shutdown.
But this is easy to check
You should power up the unit and press F2. Now you should access the BIOS.
Now in case the HDD is OK; you should see the HDD on the first BIOS page with all the HDD details. In case the HDD is visible in BIOS, you should go to next step.
Next step: try to reinstall the system again.
In case you want to install an Linux or another Windows system you have to disable firstly the secure boot option in BIOS. Also you have to switch from UEFI to CSM mode. This is also part of the BIOS settings.
After that you could boot from CD or USB flash stick in order to reinstall the system

  • Please help - black screen blinking cursor 24" imac and XP home sp2

Brand new 24" imac purchased yesterday from the apple store with a 4 gig ram upgrade (i.e. all the newest stuff/versions). All updates installed & current.
Brand new (clean & scratchless) copy of Windows XP Home with SP2.
I ran the bootcamp assistant and made a 20 gig windows parition (so its under the 32 gig limit of fat32).
Following the installation procedure the windows disk is inserted, the machine reboots and then it just sits there with a black screen and a blinking cursor. The CD drive stops spinning and no progress from that point forward.
I then read on here some had better lucky with a "copy" of the original windows disk so I duplicated it in this Mac (i.e. burned with its own drive) but exactly the same problem with the burned copy (which also opens fine from within OSX).
I'm at a loss... where to go from here? We decided to try apple because they assured us we could run our "windows only aps" on the bootcamp side of the hardware but bootcamp isn't working!
    Please advise...
    If any of this helps:
    OS X Version 10.5.2
2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM

    Welcome to the Apple forums:
Be sure your XP disk had SP2 embedded into XP, and not a separate file or patch.
Also be sure your disk is not an ISO image but a real disk, with files on it. You can look at them using your Mac. Insert the CD or DVD and doubleclick the disk icon.
You should see most or all of the following files and folders:
    (HOMEWITHSP2)
    AUTORUN.INF
    DOCS
    DOTNETFX
    I386
    README.HTM
    SETUP.EXE
    SETUPXP.HTM
    SUPPORT
    VALUEADD
    WIN51
    WIN51IC
    WIN51IC.SP2
When you copied the disk, did you make sure your copy was Windows readable? Mac has several formats, one of which is Mac-only for data CDs. You need to select the universal mode, Mac and Windows for the data image and when burning the image.
Also be sure you selected to close or finalize the CD after burning or it cannot be read by Windows.

  • The code to set focus and cursor position fails in a mobile browser

In two previous discussions (http://scn.sap.com/message/15176399 and http://scn.sap.com/message/15205348) I received help on how to set the focus on an OpenUI5 mobile input field and then how to position the cursor at the end of any text that might be in that field.
That all works well in desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE10).
However that same code seems to fail when I test it on browsers on mobile devices. At first I thought this was working in Chrome on an iPad but now it does not (could our taking new OpenUI5 code recently affected that?). I do not think I have ever see this work in Chrome on a, Android tablet.
Has anyone had success setting the focus and cursor position on a mobile input field running in a mobile environment?

Wasn't sure where to turn with this problem. There is talk on the web that there is a problem in Chrome on Android and that this will be fixed in version 37. We I get that version I will try and update this post.

You seem to stop the while loop to run the following code, then the program ends. Are you running this using the "continuous run" button????
You need one big while loop containing the acquisition, then you build up the history data in a shift register. Clicking "save" will save the data, but not stop the loop.
Why did you place a time-control in the FOR loop??? This is just post-processing so it should just do it without any delays. I don't understand the logic in the FOR loop. You are appending arrays, but then you delete the first element at each iteraction constantly trimming data from the beginning of the appended array. Then you autoindex at the output tunnel heavily duplicating all data. Ths make s no sense!
Can you explain how you want you data saved?

  • How can I stop the blinking cursor?

    Hey
I have been using an older version of TLF and used blinking = false when I did nor want the cursor to blink.
Now I cannot find another way to achieve this.
It seems like if you use the SelectionManager you are stuck with this default blink.
    Or am I wrong?
    Regards
    Micheal

The blinkRate was moved from the SelectionManager to the SelectionFormat.  That way you could have separate blink rates for focused and unfocused selections.
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/gumbo/langref/flashx/textLayout/edit/SelectionFormat.html
Assign new SelectionFormats to the SelectionManager focusedSelectionFormat, inactiveSelectionFormat and/or unfocusedSelectionFormat properties.

  • Cp 6 no blinking cursor in text entry box

    Howdy,
Upon slide enter, when a slide has a text entry box, there would be a blinking cursor in the TEB to help alert the user that they will need to type something.
Howerver, in Cp 6 I'm not seeing a blinking/flashing cursor in a TEB like I did with Cp5.5 and b4.
Is this something I have to enable? Why is it so inconsistent?
    Thanks,
    k

This is a known bug, focus loss for TEB's. I heard that the team is working on it and hope really they release a patch quickly,
