I purchased all out of Denmark. My HD crashed and I reload it all. While doing this I had to install new iTunes, - this is the newest version 10.xx. The old version was probbaly 9.xx (cant remember). So the library files are from an old version, - but it does not look like creating a problem. I am now in Sweden, so iTunes was installed in Sweden, and I try to re-download my missing songs while being here in Sweden. However, - I belive I am connected to iTunes store in Denmark. ... (it takes 2 smileys for this, - if you get as far as to here and still have an overview.) -
I downloaded the voice recorder on my ipad. I used it before but now it doesn't send my recordings anymore. Any idea what happened?

Do you have another App that uses the iPad's microphone? One such App is Skype, which is free. When you are registered with Skype, you can connect with their test server which will play back several seconds of your audio.
If the microphone does not work with either App, it may be defective. If you can show it to an Apple Store Genius, you may get a new iPad on the spot.

Anybody using a Sony DCR-HC51E
Reading some of the connectivity issues you can get with video cameras I was wondering if anybody had bought and successfully used a Sony DCR-HC51E mini DV camera. I understand it should work through firewire being mini DV but there are never any guarantees.
This is a low end camera, I just want to see how I would use video before investing a large amount of money in a camera and through a relative can obtain a significant discount on this camera.

JOI'm using a 5D with a G5 and having nothing but problems. I have aperture installed on my Powerbook and don't have any problems. Upload fine and everything. But as soon as i try and upload photos on my G5 it's terrible. They preview fine before import.
but afterwards they're corrupt.

I'm trying to query a custom table created on a SQL Server 2005 database, the same RDBMS for the SAP Web AS. I'm using a different database from the sytem's standard.
I created a Datasource for it. I can get the connection, but when I execute a query I get the following message.
Please note that I used everything SAP recommends for JDBC connector. I have done this previously for an oracle database but this time this approach (MS SQL) is not working...
I don't understand what it means for registering the tables using JDDI.

We have poor performance problems with 11g RAC Database with OIM 9.1.0.2.
It looks like the issue could be because of RAC Ccluster.

If so, What is the JDBC Driver r u using? Also what App Server (Weblogic or OAS etc) ?

For us the max no. of users in production is around 6k. So I am wondering how this RAC availability will affect the performance.

Have you tried reinstalling Microsoft Word? Have you tried reinstalling Office? Have you run any updates recently for Microsoft Office? There was one that came out this week. You may wish to ask this question over at the Microsoft Word forums, there's a good chance you'll get a better answer as well. This forum is primarily designed for the MacBook Air hardware and interoperability with OS X on a MacBook Air.

I previously downloaded the AI 30 day trial but was able to use it before the trial ran out I've since deleted it from my laptop (Windows 7 64 bit OS) How do I get it back? Trying to download AI again and getting error code 3 some thing to do with administration permissions?
If your intention is to use the trial again it will not reset if you reinstall. It will remain in its ran out state.

There is no way to retrieve the 4 digit code. You have to restore the device if you don't know the code and you cannot unlock the device. There have been more than a few users that are asking about this and they are all saying the same thing that you are saying - they never set a passcode before.

Thanks.I'm not using RDX on a Mac, but I do have one client I'm using RDX for a Windows server. While RDX is somewhat cost effective over LTO/Ultrium, IMHO it probably wouldnt' be the best for Time Machine. Time Machine expects the previous backup to be online and if you switch cartridges, TM would have to create a new backup from scratch. Then if you switch back the cartridges, your TM bundles are out of sync. I'm not saying it's not possible, but that this is not the "normal" way TM works. So you need to understand what you need to do if you were planning to switch cartridges. (If you weren't planning to switch cartridges, then a "normal" external or internal hard drive is more cost effective than RDX.)
RDX cartridges are basically 2.5" SATA hard drives. The RDX "drive" is, for the most part, just a SATA to USB converter. (Or SATA to eSATA or whatever interface you get.) On the PC the advantage is that you don't have to "safely remove hardware" and you don't lose the drive letter. On the Mac, a "normal" external hard drive is almost as convinient as RDX, since there's no drive letter to worry about. The RDX's advantage on the Mac would be not having to plug/unplug a USB cable on the external units. I suppose you could get an internal eSATA RDX to put into a Mac. I don't know of anyone doing that.
I did use my client's USB RDX drive on his Macbook, just to see what we could do with it. While it worked, we didn't do extensive testing so I can't comment on long term satisfaction with OSX. But so far it's been reliable with Windows for almost two years. (Windows Server 2008 with Backup Exec 2010.) However since RDX is basically just a hard drive, I've gotten the client to realize that in a year or two, we'll probably have to start replacing cartridges, assuming his data size doesn't grow beyond the RDX capacity. This is based on the assumption that the RDX cartridges would have similar longevity to laptop hard drives, which have 3-5 year warranties. We probably will get more lifespan than that, but better to have the client plan in the budget now, rather than have backups fail. -

The governments in some middle eastern countries have banned Facetime and it is disabled on iphones purchased in those countries. The countries include KAS, UAE and others. There is no way to get Facetime on such phones (for example it cannot be downloaded and installed) and taking the phone to another country does not cause Facetime to reappear on such phones. Anybody use Word Perfect? How does 'Pages' compare?
For anyone who wants to cut to the quick, just read the question....the last paragraph.
I need some comfort. It's probably normal to get frustrated with a new Word Processing program like 'Pages' after only 2 days of using it so I'm willing to be patient, but I have a general question, which actually appears in the Title of this post.
I've used Word Perfect on my non-Mac computers for 20 years and although the program is without equal in it's sophistication and ease of use (IMO), I do believe it caused some big problems for other programs on my computer (incompatibility problems with other software). I've wanted an iMac for a long time just to get rid of all the problem I had with those other computers, thinking I'd be rid of WordPerfect, which I blamed for many of the problems. I wanted a fresh, clean start, so I sure don't want to mess up my 2 day-old iMac by loading up a word-processor like WordPerfect again....that'll just mess everything up again.
But I have mixed emotions. After my past experience with Word Perfect, it's just hard for me to believe that the WP people actually got rid of all their bugs, and wouldn't inadvertently stick them all into an Apple product. I'm paranoid, I know. I'm asking this question because word-processing is the most important thing to me in using a computer and I found WordPerfect to be perfect, as a word-processor, that is.
I'm certainly willing to give 'Pages' a fair try, and hope it works out for me. But, is there anyone here who uses WordPerfect on their Mac (and with which OS) and does it cause you any problems? Also, in your opinion how does it compare with 'Pages'?I was an avid WP user (DOS, AtariST, and Mac versions) for years and I was a beta tester for the Atari and Mac versions. I was never all that impressed with the Windows versions. When the program was sold to Novel support and quality became uneven and after Novel sold it to Corel, well, let's let sleeping dogs lie, eh?
Pages isn't WP - it is a consumer word processor and desktop publishing program. Still it is quite powerful and easy to use...once you accept its conventions. That is a sticking point for a lot of people. With OS X, Apple has taken the toolbar and adapted it to its own purpose. Unlike some programs that attempt to put every command in toolbars, Apple prefers to target a smaller number and allow the user some ability to custom it. Apple has also adopted the idea of palettes - one palette actually. The inspector. In OS X the inspector is used to take commands that might be buried in the menu hierarchy and puts them out front. With Pages, like many OS X programs, getting to know the Inspector is key to using Pages.
As I said, Pages isn't WP or MS Word. That's good and bad. The good is that the program is cleaner and easier to learn. It also means that lots of features you might consider important are missing. You should have a demo version of iWork on your new iMac and you have 30 days to use it before you have to decide to keep it or ditch it. -
I used iCloud before I updated to the new iOS 6 and now I only have 44 pictures how can I get them all back?
Photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that, they are removed from your photo stream but not from any device that has already received them. Chances are, the 44 photos are from the last 30 days; the others are not there because they are no longer in your photo stream.
If the photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring to the backup should recover them. However, you will have to restore to the entire backup to do so. If they weren't backed up or imported to your computer, there is no way to recover them now.
To be sure your photos are saved, regularly import them from the camera roll to your computer as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
