Jtapi - file playing problem

Hi all,
I am a Software Engineer, and programming in java since 2002. But now first time, I am working on a telephony application using JTAPI.
I have a dialogic card (D/41-ESC) to play with.
My code is working fine, it is dialing out, receiving calls, recording users voice and receiving DTMF input. All state and events are also according to documentations.
But i am facing problem at palying of sound (wav/au) file from application to telephone. No exception occurs during execution.
Please guide me what may be the problem.
(FYI. I have no sound card on my system)
looking for early reply. thanks in advance

Hi,
I need a help to make use of TTS in JTAPI 1.4 version. As there is no sample program for this JTAPI 1.4 package, am facing an issue to write a program to play a wave file. Am using Freetts to convert the text file into wave file with 8000 hz frequency. But to play till now I've used usePlayURL method to play the file. But the voice is not clear & soft. So our team preferred to choose a better voice using some other TTS engine & also make a try of TTS in JTAPI 1.4. But the existing source files are just a body for all each interfaces in that package. Don't know to make use of the interface methods.
Kindly guide me to proceed my task.
Welcoming the suggestions....
Thanks & Regards,

  • Quicktime 7.x.x Chinese Big-5 lyrics kar file play problem.

I use Quicktime to play *.kar file in my blog as following link.
    http://itw.idv.tw/blog/?p=2656
CDEFGABCDCBAGFEDC, means Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do Re Do Si La So Fa Mi Re Do.
    English lyrics has no problem at Quicktime 7.x.x and 6.4, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C D C B A G F E D C triggered one-by-one.
    Chinese Big-5 lyrics has severe problem at Quicktime 7.x.x, C, DE, F, GA, B, CD, C, BA, G, FE, D, C.
    Any idea?

sometimes Unicode processing of text may wrongly convert a character which is originally only 1 byte wide to a full 3-byte wide Unicode character. This may be the source of this bug.
    有时候将非Unicode字符转换为Unicode字符可能会错误地将原本只有一个字节宽的字符转换成一个完整的三字节Unicode字符,这可能就是问题的起因。

  • Swf file playing problem in limited user in XP

    hi all,
can anyone help me how to fix this roblem?.... when i try to
open any web site which has swf content in my limited user account
(XP os) it is not playing! and when i change my user to
administrator it is playing properly... pls help me....

Hi AxshunJaxun. Have done a bit more testing & web searching and found that I can rename My Documents but not Application Data. Looks like Application Data has some sort of special status in XP and it's the opsys doing the renaming of both copy & source. Since I can keep multiple copies of My Documents and can live with having to make multiple copies of individual Apps. under Application Data I'll go with that. Thanks for your help.

HP G56 intermittent sound problem - e.g you tube/MP3 files play for 10 seconds then stop.  I have made sure that the latest sound driver is installed and this makes no difference. The laptop is new so there is no other software on it other than the pre-installed stuff operating on windows 7.  In sound options all looks well and the device is said to be working properly.  Even the sound test in device manager sometimes works and sometimes doesnt.

  • One mov file plays in Media Viewer on Ext Hd Drv, imported into FCPX it plays 5 sec then goes black. No problem with other mov files.

One mov file plays in Windows Media Viewer in Ext Hd Drv. Imported as Proxy Media into FCPX it plays in both Event and Time Line for 5 seconds, then goes black. No problem with many other mov files in same project. Tried converting this one file into MP4, but produced only pixellated jumble.

Can you open the clip in the QuickTime player? What are the specs shown in the inspector?

  • [SOLVED] unable to play mp3 or flac files in mpd, .dts files play fine

I had a perfect running mpd setup before I tried to fiddle around with some dependancies to get xbmc-svn to compile without errors. I installed some AUR packages (ffmpeg-svn, x264-git, libva-sds, libvpx, libid3tag).
After that I started to experience trouble with mpd, it start fine and says it plays audio files just fine but whenever i play a mp3 or flac file the progress bar just looks like it's playing the file but I hear no sound. Whenever I play a .dts file i hear the sound correct.
I'm very curious to why this happends.
I rolled back the packages mentioned above but the issue remains unsolved.
My setup: pc is connected to receiver by hdmi cable using the latest alsa version with digital passthrough over hdmi, currently using mpd-git from AUR
mpd -v --no-daemon shows the following:

  • Html files play in main stage of flash

How can macromedia flash play html files?
I have a problem my friends! First of all I should say that I
know flash is not a browser!!! I have lots of internal and external
html files next to my main swf movie and I made lots of botton for
each html files and a window next to the bottons on the left side
of my stage now the question is: how can I tell macromedia flash by
pressing each botton its especial html file play in the left
window?(and not anywhere else) I tried "get url" but html files now
are playing in a browser and not in my window!!
Maybe I made the window in the wrong way so how can I create
    this window for html files?

  • *.mov files play on ipad without audio

I have recently transferred some *.mov files from my PC to iPad. These files play perfectly well on PC in both Quicktime Player and Windows Media Player. However, when I try to play them on iPad, I get video only (no sound). I have latest versions of all softwares so cannot figure out why iPad is not playing audio of only these files. I had some old *.mov files on my iPad which play perfectly well (both video and audio) so how can I fix this problem.

I had some WMV files which I had converted to *.MOV using AVS Video Converter. I have compared the properties of old *.MOV files which play on iPad perfectly well (using QuickTime Player) with the properties of the newly-transferred files and they are exactly the same in every aspect. Is it possible that because of low memory (about 4GB) left on iPad after the new files' transfer, the audio is not playing on iPad?

What is dropping I guess is the question? Is it wireless? Is it your WAN connection? You need to identify where the problem is.
To do that you need to try a few things.
    1. If you use wireless then bypass it and use ethernet if that is possible.. even just drag things around so you can test if ethernet fixes it. If so and wireless is in fact the problem.. then you can do a few things.
    2. Wireless issues with the 7.6.4 firmware are common. Did you upgrade about the time the problems started? I am afraid the bad news is, downgrading is not like in the past where it fixed things.. 7.6.4 seems to have some permanent effect on the TC and it is never quite the same again. How this is even possible I have yet to determine.
The usual fix is factory reset.
Set wireless with short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. Different name for 5ghz.
Make sure security is WPA Personal  with pure alphanumeric password of 8-20 characters.. unless you are more paranoid.
Fix the wireless channels and test in order. 11, 8, 6, 1
And for 5ghz try the lowest channel, 36 and then a high one, around 150.
    3. No improvement factory reset again.. downgrade to 7.6.1 or even 7.5.2 if it is an older Gen4 .. at 18months it might be old enough.. no harm trying. Factory reset again after the downgrade to see if we can get rid of the memory effect.. then try the above steps again.
No luck.. whatever the upgrade did it did permanently.. no fix is available until Apple pushes out a new firmware to fix what they did in the last one. Buy a different wireless router for now and use the TC in bridge just for TM backups.

  • CS4 premiere Imported .avi files play too fast

    Hi Guys
I have a problem. I'm new to CS4 having used Adobe Premiere 6.0 in the past and I have never had this issue when importing .AVI files. What happens is that the file play fine in my windows enviroment and on all my players VLC,DIVX, Windows media player.
But as soon as I import these files into my project at 29.97 frames the video plays really really fast and the sound plays at the normal rate. If I try to change the frame rate the sound also changes. Now here is the strange part. If I convert the files to MP4 they play fine! but the quailty of the video takes a massive hit as you know.
I tried to convert the files to .MOV, MPG (which the program won't play) and most other types of video files but MP4 seems to be the only one that works! When I really want the higher quailty .AVI. Again the files play fine outside of CS4 Premiere and I have already converted them from a Panasonic AVCHD encode format.
Please if anyone has any advise it would be great as I have to get this sorted for a x-mas present!

  • Audio not in synch with video when mov files played in QT 7.6

When I play .mov files stored in an iPhoto 08 photo library, the audio is not in synch with the video. People's lips move and the audio comes out a second or so later. This is a relatively new problem, and I don't have the same problem when I play .avi files. A couple weeks ago, the audio and video were good and they were synchronized. The video in the .mov files is also choppy. The video plays for a few seconds, briefly pauses, and then starts again.
    Appreciate any suggestions.

I'm not sure this is the issue. The video files were never in iMovie. Only imported into the iPhoto libaray from my Kodak M1033 camera. A few weeks ago, I did not have an issue with .mov files playing smoothly. Perhaps there was a recent update to QT?
When I upload the .mov clips to Flickr (www.flickr.com) or YouTube, they play just fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
