July - December training schedule?

I'm looking for LabView training in July.  The training schedule found on the web site lists classes for January - June.  What about the rest of the year?

The best approach is to call NI and let them know of your interest.  They will transfer you to the correct people.  Call (866) 337-8760.

  • Ask: Training Scheduling Best Practice Methods

    Hello,
Can anyone share what is the best method for training scheduling? I am talking about given days, given timeslot, material distribution, class/participants distribution, etc.
I am on my second SAP implementation in OCM team so I would like to hear from you to make improvements.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
I have handled some Knowledge Transfer phase of a AMS project and I feel that atleast 4 weeks is a sufficient time for any complete knowledge transfer from the existing vendor to the new vendor. The time period is mentioned keeping in mind the precision of planning done. Planning is the key to success in this kind of take over. Following points may help to plan things
    1. Spectrum of systems / modules involved / processes / level of customisation
    2. Availability of resources for providing training and taking the knowledge transfer
    3. The network and the other infrastructure to be made available
    4. *Stakeholder commitment in providing the knowledge transfer*. Generally this one is a toughest in hostile takeovers
    5. Language barriers during K.T.
Once these things are clear, the plan should be done for all possible processes, process chains, integrations with other module, involvement of interfaces etc.
The success of K.T. should also be evaluated by asking the trainees to provide a reverse K.T. every week on the topics taught to them.
Finally   Documentation of all the processes, programs, interfaces  is most important.
Even after this, there has to be a monitoring phase to ensure that knowledge has uniformly pervaded across all members of the team. In case of need, internal KTs need to be arranged within the team.
By doing all this, we were able to be productive from 3rd month onwards into the Managed Services phase.
    Hope this approach helps you

    Hi,
I have an E61 and I´m searching for an application that lets me set multiple timers for a training schedule - a specific nr. of minutes for one exercise and then another...

"... (You cannot open the application "Scheduler" because it may be damaged or incomplete)."
Apparently you have a third party software that is corrupt. You can trash the program and its preferences files. The program probably is in the Applications folder. Preference files are probably in home/Library/Preferences folder. You may also need to check to see if it runs when you boot up. So System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items. Ask your friend what this program is about. He installed it.

  • Where do I find in store training schedule for my new iPad?

I just got my first iPad! I was told that there store has training in using the iPad, where can I find this information for my local store?

Use the App Store app to download the Apple Store app. Note the difference. Use the Apple Store app to search for a store. Once you find the store you want to visit scroll down to and tap on "Workshops and Events." You will see a schedule of various training sessions and events at that store. You can then register for the event you want.
And the process of doing what I describe above will give you some experience into using your new iPad. Enjoy!

    Hi SandeepV,
The HR module of SAP is able to model (safety) qualifications and their validity / expiry dates. There is standard reporting available that shows those persons who need training or retraining to ensure their qualifications remain current.

    Hi,
    Here is a scenario:-
Lets assume your delta run on Monday, Thursday, Sunday.
And you last run was on Monday and next Run is on Thursday.
In this case if you have set the lower limit to 1, the delta run of Thrusday will fetch data from Sunday till Thursday.
"Delta management can take the lower limit from the last extraction.
The lower limit for safety interval contains the value that needs to be taken from the highest value of the previous extraction to obtain the lowest value of the following extraction."
E.g You can say Lower lmit = Highest value of last extraction- safety interval.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Prakash

  • Multiple Holiday Schedules on one Call Handler

Hello, I search previously for a solution to this problem, but have been unsuccessful.  I am running Cisco Unity Connection 8.5.1.
    Current Setup:
Company has a system call handler named "Company AA" that serves as their autoattendant for answering incoming calls.
Company has a holiday schedule associated to "Company AA" which includes recognized holidays, and an personalized greeting recording stating they are closed for the holiday.
    What needs done:
Company has scheduled staff meetings throughout the year.  These need to be input into the system so that on these dates/times, a different personalized greeting recording plays stating that they are closed.  This needs to be a different recording than the normal Holiday greeting (so I cant just add the dates to the already existing holiday greeting).
Is this possible with Cisco Unity Connection?
    Thanks!
    Derek

    Hello Derek,
It is possible, however, you will need to create a different Call Handler and Schedule per Holiday, in this example I am going to use just 3 holidays (July 4th, January 1st and December 25th. The process is kind of complex, but here we go.
    1st: Create the Call Handlers:
Create a CallHandler for the Company AA
Create a CallHandler for January 1st
Create a CallHandler for July 4th
Create a CallHandler for December 25th
    2nd: Create the Holiday Schedules
Create a Holiday Schedule for the Company AA CallHandler and add all the holidays here (January 1st, July 4th, and December 25th).
Create a Holiday Schedule for the January 1st CallHandler and add just the July 4th, and December 25th holidays here
Create a Holiday Schedule for the July 4th CallHandler and add just the December 25th holiday here
Create a Holiday Schedule for the   December 25th CallHandler and do not add any holdays
    3rd: Create the System Schedules
Create a System Schedule for the Company AA CallHandler and associate it to the Company AA Holiday Schedule (Define your working/after hours schedule here).
Create a System Schedule for the January 1st CallHandler and associate it to the January 1st Holiday Schedule (Make it 24/7)
Create a System Schedule for the July 4th CallHandler  and associate it to the July 4th Holiday Schedule (Make it 24/7)
Create a System Schedule for the December 25th CallHandler and associate it to the December 25th Holiday Schedule (Make it 24/7)
    4rd: Call Handler configuration
    Company AA
Go to the Company AA CallHandler, and under Active Schedule select the Company AA System Schedule.
Setup the Closed and Standard Greetings/Transfer Rules as you wish.
Go to the Holiday Greeting and select Nothing and uncheck the Play the "Record Your Message at the Tone" Prompt options under Callers Hear.
Under the After Greeting section, select Call Handler >> January 1st >> Go Directly to Greetings.
Check the Greeting Enabled with No End Date and Time option and save the configuration
    January 1st
Go to the January 1st CallHandler, and under Active Schedule select the January 1st System Schedule.
Go to the Standard Greeting and setup the message that you want to play during January 1st here, if you want to transfer the call, you will need to change the Standard Call Transfer Rule as well.
Go to the Holiday Greeting and select Nothing and uncheck the Play the "Record Your Message at the Tone" Prompt options under Callers Hear.
Under the After Greeting section, select Call Handler >> July 4th >> Go Directly to Greetings.
Check the Greeting Enabled with No End Date and Time option and save the configuration
    July 4th
Go to the July 4th CallHandler, and under Active Schedule select the July 4th System Schedule.
Go to the Standard Greeting and setup the message that you want to play during July 4th here, if you want to transfer the call, you will need to change the Standard Call Transfer Rule as well.
Go to the Holiday Greeting and select Nothing and uncheck the Play the "Record Your Message at the Tone" Prompt options under Callers Hear.
Under the After Greeting section, select Call Handler >> December 25th >> Go Directly to Greetings.
Check the Greeting Enabled with No End Date and Time option and save the configuration
    December 25th
Go to the December 25th CallHandler, and under Active Schedule select the December 25th System Schedule.
Go to the Standard Greeting and setup the message that you want to play during December 25th here, if you want to transfer the call, you will need to change the Standard Call Transfer Rule as well.
Go to the Holiday Greeting and select Nothing and uncheck the Play the "Record Your Message at the Tone" Prompt options under Callers Hear.
    Notes:
As mentioned above, this process is complex and the best way to achieve this will be to create an excel table with the settings of every CallHandler so you can check them before implementing this in production, please note that the last Call Handler Holiday Schedule is empty, as well as the Holiday Greeting of this CallHandler since it will only play the Standard Greeting (24/7) schedule.
         The second
The third thing you need keep in mind is that if you need to change the working hours schedule, you will do it on the main CallHandler only (Company AA), since the other system schedules are used only for holiday and during the holiday those are set to work 24/7.
    Explanation:
This implementation of distinctive holidays works because when the  AA CallHandler check the holiday schedule during July 4th, it will send the the call to the holiday greeting since it is marked as a holiday on its schedule, the holiday greeting of the AA will send the call to the January 1st Call Handler; then, the January 1st CallHandler will do the same, since July 4th is marked as a holiday, it will forward the call to the Holiday Greeting which will send it to another CallHandler (July 4th). When the call gets to July 4th CallHandler it checks its schedule, since no holidays are marked on this particular CallHandler for July 4th, it will check whether it should play the Standard or Closed greeting, since this schedule was setup as 24/7, it will play the Standard Greeting of the July 4th CallHandler and stop hunting.
I hope you this helps you and feel free to shoot me with any questions you might have.

  • Confusion in the Identity Management Training offerings

    Hi All,
I am trying to find a suitable training that will allow me to get an indepth knowledge about the Identity Managerment. When looking at the course listed for the Identity manger they are little confusing.
For Ex: I looked at course IDM 4484 and the prerequisite classes mentioned there does not have any links. I am assuming these classes are removed from the offering for some reason.
Similarly when looking at course IDM-345 the Related course (Before) has no active link to the course detail. Again, I am assuming these courses are not offered anymore. Also, there is no indication of which version of IDM will be used in the training class.
May be SUN is in the process of updating the course offerings. I appreciate if a SUN Training representative reply to this email and provide an updated training schedule in the Identity Management area.
    Thanks,
    B.

IDM-345, the Deployment Fundamentals course, will give you an good foundation. This has just been updated to IdM 7.0, so the timing is perfect. BTW, I see that the new description has yet to be loaded to the web -- I'll correct that.
We have removed the VC-IDM-3451 and -3452 from public offering, as well as the IDM-2525, which was quite old. Thanks for the heads up -- I will remove those references from the descriptions.
If you want a brief introductory course, look for WMT-IDM-1482, the Integrated Solutions course. I believe it is available to you through the SDN.
The IDM-4484, Advanced Deployment course, is being updated now. It's highly recommended that students for this course not only take IDM-345, but also have the experience of 2-3 deployments going in.
    I hope this helps.

  • Training course recommendations in UK?

    Hi,
Firstly, I'm aware this probably isn't the best place to be posting about training course, but didn't rally think it fitted anywhere else.
My company have asked if I would like to go on a Web Development course. Obviously I said YES!
But now I am tasked with working out what would be the most useful things to learn and where?
I would class myself as a great graphic designer / beginner to better than average web designer. The type of things they would like my to be able to implement is online surveys, gather customer information, customer databases and so forth. Basically I would be implementing the marketing departments, well, marketing!
So I thought I should be looking at PHP & SQL? Maybe some XML? What would others say? Also I'm looking for a reliable company, any suggestions?
Ideally in the Bristol, Gloucestershire or Birmingham area, however London would be fine.

I'm the instructor for the Dreamweaver CS4 - Getting Started three-day course offered by Highlander (http://highlander.co.uk), an Adobe authorized training centre. I normally teach at Highlander's training centre in London, but also do training off base (in February, I taught a course in Leeds). The course I teach is described as "designed for those with no previous experience of webpage / application development". As a result, it starts from the basics, but gets into quite advanced territory by the end of the three days, particularly if participants already have a reasonable knowledge of web development (as many of them do).
Highlander also offers a PHP/MySQL course. Although I specialize in PHP/MySQL, the course is not taught by me. However, Highlander has discussed the possibility of me doing a more advanced Dreamweaver course that includes PHP/MySQL. Offering such a course would depend on sufficient people signing up for it. You might want to ask your company to inquire about arranging such a course, even though it's not currently listed on the training schedule (the person to contact is the Managing Director, Andy Gardiner).
In case you don't know who I am, I'm an Adobe Certified Instructor for Dreamweaver and the author of a series of books on Dreamweaver, PHP, and MySQL (http://foundationphp.com).
Of course, there are other training companies in the UK that others might be able to recommend.

  • Seeking Advice on Adobe Training Partners

I had this posted somewhere else, but was told this would be a better place for it......
I'm fairly new to using the Technical Communications Suite and am considering taking some classes for FrameMaker 8 and RoboHelp 7. The companies that I'm considering are: Lodestone Digital and Sterling Ledet & Assocaies.
I've tried some of the online tutorials, but they're not helping as much as I'd like.
I'm hoping that at least a few of you may have knowledge of either and/or both of these companies and wouldn't mind sharing your opinion. If there's a better company please let me know (however I'm in Virginia and would prefer not to travel too far.)
Thanks for any and all help.
    Belynda

    Belynda,
Both are very good sources for training. There are quite a number of
others and some do offer on-line training sessions with an instructor
(rather than just self-paced tutorials,) which could make your travel
budget available for more courses instead.
    For example,
    http://www.microtype.com/training.html
    http://www.iconlogic.com/FrameMaker8VirtualClass.html
    http://www.scriptorium.com/training/options.html or
    http://www.scriptorium.com/training/schedule.html
There's also the option of having the instructors come to your site
for customized training, which might be more focused and effective. In
this case, additional options would include companies such as
Front-Runner Training, Publishing Smarter, KnowHow Pro, and Grafix
    Training.
