'Jump to' a particular slide in adobe captivate using edge animate.

I would like to 'jump to' a particular slide in adobe captivate using interactions created in an edge animate file. Is anyone able to help me with the javascript needed to do this?

I'd like to use Edge Animate to do some animation work and then bring this in to captivate. Is there any way to do this?

Okay, It looks like using the Adobe Captivate App Packager is the way to go in order to get an Edge Animation into Captivate http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/captivate-app-packager.html.
My issue is that I can't seem to select the adobe edge animation (either the project file or the published web folder) from the Adobe Captivate App Packager.
Has anyone succesfully done this and willing to share their wisdom

Retrieving & displaying values from a slide in Adobe Captivate 5.5

Hi,
I am using Adobe Captivate 5.5.
1.In a slide I assign a variable with "active" or "disabled" when user clicks Active button or Disabled button in that slide. This I do with Javascript.
2.In the next slide I am able to retrieve the resultant (active/disabled). And I want this result to be displayed on a button as a label or display in a Test Caption. Is it possible to do. If so how?

I am able to save the text in a java script variable and show the same in an alert (as you observed) but not clear/sure how to assign or save it to a user defined variable in Captivate. Kindly suggest how to first create this user defined variable and how to displays the contents in Captivate.

Adobe Muse with Edge Animate components plays great on the Mac but images don't show in Windows. Any suggestions?

You're in luck! We just added in a feature to the latest version of Edge Animate CC (3.0) to enable the CDN option for OAM publish (what we call the "Animate Deployment Package"). This means that your Animate compositions can now references jQuery and the Animate runtime from the network instead of from the project directory. (Please note that this will only make sense for Dreamweaver and Muse integration with OAM and won't make sense for InDesign.)
To turn this on, launch Animate and go to File > Publish Settings. Then select the Animate Deployment Package on the left and click "Host runtime files on Adobe CDN." Save and publish, and you should be good to go.

Adobe Muse and Edge Animate - How do you consolidate files on server/ftp?

Hello everyone,
I am working on a site, and I recently added Edge Animate animations to it. They look great, but the only issue I'm having is that the site doesn't load as quickly as I would like it to. I did a few speed test and I think what's causing the load time is that I have about 5 different Edge Animate animations and they each have their own seperate folder with their own javascript in a folder called "Assets."
Is there a way to consolidate the "Assets folder," so that my site loads faster?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe DPS et edge Animate

J'ai un petit souci avec une App que je réalise avec adobe DPS. J'ai créé un article dans lequel je place plusieurs pages. Sur la deuxième page je place une animation Edge Animate que j'ai importée en fichier .OAM. Losque je test mon App dans Adobe viewer, quand j'arrive sur la premiere page de l'article l'animation ce lance et donc lorsque je passe sur la deuxième page ou est placé l'animation celle-ci est terminé.
Une idée pour résoudre se problème??

Captivate 8 + Edge Animate 2014 = Mouse Hover

Hi!
I'm trying to input some interactive animations on Captivate 8 but getting really crazy.
The project is responsive and I done an animated logo in Edge Animate 2014 in a hope that I can put it into Captivate, but when I publish as .OAM and import it into Captivate, these turn into a video and do not have any kind of interaction.
The basic idea is: user hover mouse the logo and that one reproduce an animation.
Any way I can make it work? With a button it's not a option because I have some effects/transictions.

At this moment there is no direct communication possible between CP and OAM's. They are indeed only considered to be an 'animation', not interactive. I regret this also very much, but you have to live with it until this communication improves. Maybe it is possible with JS, but in that case I pass the question to David (TLCMediaDesign) because I have not experimented yet to use JS for that purpose. I have inserted OAM's with interactivity, like buttons to stop, to trigger something happening, but with the buttons inside of the OAM, not in CP. OAM has to be considered as a separate block inside CP.

The reason I am interested in capturing the user answers in Submit All situation is that I know after I published the test using SCORM 2004, all the user responses were captured in "cmi.suspend_data" because my test can resume the test to the last exit question in the middle. However, when I looked at the suspend data value, I have a hard time to understand the pattern and pick out the meaningful user question responses data. I really need help from you to understand how the suspend data value was constructed and how to parse this data. Another area I thought it's easy to get the user question responses data is the interaction records, but I always got only one question (the last randomly sampled question) interaction record. See the following generated XML SCORM 2004 4th edition data. Could you help me figure out how to interpret the following suspend data to get the users responses to each test question? Adobe Captivate, or the whole Adobe eLearning 6.1 Suite?

I am building eLearning modules for staff training across a Province - would I need Adobe Captivate, or the whole Adobe eLearning 6.1 Suite?

Maybe I was not clear: Captivate is not included in the CC but is a separate subscription (which I would recommend over buying license, better price/quality value).
All depends on what you want to develop? I'm using both Photoshop and Audition (from the CC) intensively for graphical and audio assets. I also use Illustrator (inserting vector graphics as smart objects into Photoshop because of its roundtripping functionality with Captivate). Edge Animate is included in the CC and is great for creating animations. I'm also using several other applications.
But if you are buying graphics, or use another graphics editor, and can live with the audio created within Captivate (or use Audacity), don't need animations etc, you could just start with Captivate subscription?

Using the shared review function with a Captivate including Edge animations

We are working on a Captivate (Captivate 8) project that includes several modules of which many of the slides have animations created using Edge. We would like to utilize the shared review but when I publish the course and view the course in the Captivate Reviewer, I can't see the animations. Does it have anything to do with the animations being published as HTML5 animations (.oam)? Any thoughts?

Edge animate & Adobe Muse

Hi,
I'm creating a website with Muse. I want some animation, so I have decided to create some buttons using Edge Animate.
But when my buttons are imported into Muse, the "Hypelinks" panel disappear, so I can't say I want those button to bring me on another Muse page…
Is there a way to do that?

A good idea is to create any buttons inside Adobe Muse, at the end export it as HTML, and then open the exported file (index.html) inside Adobe Edge Animate and create the final animation in there.

Ich habe mich die letzten Tage mit Adobe Muse und Edge Animate auseinandergesetzt.
Und gerade Edge Animate hat es mir total angetan auch gerade in Kombination mit Adobe Muse - welches mir auch gefällt.
Nun habe ich eine Frage:
Kann ich in Muse oder Animate irgendwie einstellen, dass die Wiedergabe erst mit einem Klick startet?
Wäre prima und geht bestimmt nur sehe ich aktuell den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht.

Hallo Stefux,
bei Edge Animate brauchst Du dafür kein Script. Du kannst links auf die Aktionsklammer neben ein Objekt klicken und wählst dann den click Event und rechts im Code Editor dann Abspielen aus.
Symbolaktionen lassen sich über die Wiedergabefunktion in der Zeitleiste steuern.
Wir können uns das ja Morgen im eSeminar noch mal ansehen.

Jump to slide not working on slide before quiz (Captivate 4)

I have a Captivate 4 file that contains a two-part quiz (multiple choice, followed by interactive practice). The first screen of this file is an introduction; it has three buttons ((RETURN, which opens a separate URL), CONTINUE (goes to next slide which is Part 1), and a SKIP (bypasses Part 1, and jumps to the first slide of Part 2)). When I publish the file, the skip button will NOT bypass the screeens and jump to the specified slide…for whatever reason, it wants to advance to the next slide. I have checked my slide settings, button settings, etc. and cannot figure out why it is doing this. Any suggestions?

Can you give us the URL that doesn't work?
Have you tested the URL from a typical web page on your server? My thought is that you might even see the same thing happen from a web page. Maybe your web peeps need to investigate.

1.You can download Neo Speech voices from here:
Windows 32-bit: http://www.adobe.com/go/captivate6_voices_installer
Windows 64-bit: http://www.adobe.com/go/captivate_voices_installer_win64
2. After the Downloading is completed, you have to extract that .zip file to the same location. That will have one payloads folder and AdobePatchinstaller.exe, Double click on AdobePatchinstaller.exe to start the installation.
3. While installing it will start the Adobe Application Manager to Update Captivate.

Adobe Captivate 6 not able to add Slide Notes

Having an issue with Adobe Captivate 6 with adding Slide Notes.
I can add them via Window>Slide Notes, but we cannot add them via clicking on the Properties tab of a slide then clicking on "Add Audio..." then clicking on the bottom "Captions & Slide Notes...". It will not let us add any Slide notes at this point.
Please advise, as teammates are sure they used this second version in the past successfully.

The notes are just notes to the developer, so they don't have to sync with the audio.
Nonetheless, what do you mean by "Make sure your audio file is selected..."?
I went into my TIMELINE and clicked on the audio which opened the "Slide Audio" screen, then clicked on "Captions & Slide Notes..." and the Slide notes/Captions tabs show, but I cannot type anything into either of these areas......
What am I doing wrong?
