Jumping from Z10 to Z30 or wait for Passport?
I'm thinking to swap my device from Z10 to Z30. Is it a good decision to jump to Z30 or shall I wait for Passport to get released.
P.S. Am afraid to buy a device as soon as it hit the market because of the less support forums and less known issues.
tough choice to make but I am leaning to get one

Device Switch problem from Z10 to Z30
Device Switch problem from Z10 to Z30
Hi Dears,
I got my new Z30 and I tried to switch my old Z10 without luck, so I appreciate your help.
Both devices are identical OS Release (10.2.1.2102) version (10.2.1.2141)
I set up my Blackberry ID in the new Z30
I used BB-Link via my PC and everything started fine and smooth, and I followed all instructions step by step.
Until reaching to step (8 of 9 ) in the BB-Link, a popup windows appear in my Z30 saying “RESTORE IN PROGRESS”
But after 5 seconds, BB-Link cancel the restore process !!!
Also, I tried to connect my Z30 to my PC and restore previous Z10 backup directly through BB-Link, but same issue and message “the operation was cancelled”
One more thing, I noticed that, the BBM is empty and showing message “restoring your BBM information” since yesterday.
I wiped my device and try several time but no luck L,
Please I need your helpIs the new Z30 upgraded with the latest BBM version 10.3?
If not, upgrade that first through App World, then try the Switch Device or restore again.

I have bought an iphone 5 from cash converters. I'm waiting for a sim from my provider to arrive by post. I have left my phone on and twice it has turned its self off, is this right or is my phone seem faulty? I haven't been able to try the phone out yet as I didn't have a small SIM card. I'm worried as to why it would be turned off when I didn't turn it off.?.
If it turns off again take it back it,s not your problem ask for a refund or replacement

SaskTel's Blackberry Z10 users told to wait for upgrade
In speaking with Sasktel technical support, and in the news article posted yesterday (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/story/2013/03/14/sk-blackberry-customers.html), Sasktel users have to wait for the upgrade until Blackberry does thier NEXT upgrade. SkTEL support says "probably end of April"
What does: SaskTel says allowing customers to upgrade now would interfere with the Blackberries' roaming capabilities. even mean?
Telus is in Saskatchewan (with same roaming map -- they upgraded and their users have no trouble.)
Rogers is in Saskatchewan (albeit NOT with the same roaming map, but their users got the upgrade)
This is beyond annoying.
I wanted the better battery life.
i wanted the fixes.
I wanted WhatsApp.
sigh.
Anyone have any further insight into what their statement might mean?Nope. It will stay the upgraded OS.
Be warned, however, that some users have experienced connection issues when installing other provider's released OS upgrades. Included in the OS files are what are know as "radio" files, which govern the signal, connection, voice and data transfers. You could experience issues. You might now.
But, if it were me, with the issues you're having -- I'd upgrade, using a Telus SIM card in the device. You can even use an old one or deactivated SIM card, I've been told by close friends.
Once the upgrade is performed, remove the Telus SIM, replace the SaskTel SIM in, (also removing and resinserting the battery at the same time).
Make sure you are connected to a WiFi source AND a charging cable when you do all this. It can take 45-60 mins.

Issue while moving from string to field symbol -- waiting for help
Hi Abap Experts,
At present I got stucked here at client place. Please help me . Thanks in advance.
I have a structure in field symbol. I also have data in the string (rec ty )
I need to move it to corresponding fields in the field symbol. While moving, it is giving a dump.
data:linetype type string,
struc type ref to DATA.
field-symbols: <fs> type any.
linetype = i_strucname.
" Get internal table and attach the field-symbol
CREATE DATA struc type standard table OF (linetype).
ASSIGN struc->* TO <fs>.
<fs> = string. (dump is occuring here)Hi,
My code:
data:linetype type string,
struc type ref to DATA.
field-symbols: <fs> type any ,
<f1> type any .
linetype = i_strucname (Z structure)
" Get internal table and attach the field-symbol
CREATE DATA struc type standard table OF (linetype).
ASSIGN struc->* TO <fs>.
I need to populate the Z structure at runtime with the appropriate field values from the string.
for example:
input: abc \ \xyz
structure: first ffield length 10, " MY Z STRUCTURE
second field length 5
third field length 10.
output: abc xyz
I get the structures dynamically. -

Mini Bridge PS CS6 "Waiting for Bridge"? mac os x 10.8.3
Mini bridge says "waiting for Bridge" II removed /library/application Support/Adobe/Switchborard folder and alo the switch board preference file in home directory, restarted computer, etc and message changed from "no items found" to "Waiting for Bridge"
Hi Curt Y, Thanks for replaying, it actually "Quits unexpectedly", which one is the option botton?, I tried, cmd + shift, and cmd, shift + ctrl, didn't work.
I'm working on a project in which I have to name several pictures, and I just drag them into a template in PSD and change the name, could the amount of images I'm working have something to the with the quitting?
Thanks again! -
Wait for user input in middle of method
I have a method in the middle of which I want to give the user a chance to click one of several Buttons. Here is the basic design of the method:
Private Sub MyMethod()
'Code before I need extra input
'This is where I want to wait for the user to click a Button
'This is where I will be using the results from the clicked Button
'The waiting for input and using the results will happen multiple times inside a loop
End Sub
The code is in a loop, so exiting the method and putting the rest of the code in the Button handler would not be appropriate. How can I ask the user for input and then return that input to the method where I left? I seem to be tempted to use some kind of async
method, but since the input will be coming from the user (not another method), that doesn't seem like it would be right (but I don't have a huge amount of experience with async, so I could be wrong about that). Can anybody help me? Thanks.
Nathan Sokalski [email protected] http://www.nathansokalski.com/Hi Nathan,
You're on the right track: you'll need to await an Async function to put a delay in the middle of your method. The button click will notify the async function to finish.
You could write a custom function which returns a Task and waits for the notification from the button:
Task WaitForButtonClickAsync()
// wait for button click
and then await that in your main function:
async void BigNastyFunction()
await WaitForButtonClickAsync();
The next question is how to let the button click notify WaitForButtonClickAsync to return.
We could spin up a worker thread and have it block waiting on a notification, but there is no need to complicate things like that: WaitForButtonClickAsync can just return
Task.Delay(timeout, cancellation token) and then when the button click handler fires it can cancel the delay.
See
Asynchronous Programming with Async and Await and
Async Cancellation: Bridging between the .NET Framework and the Windows Runtime for more information on cancelling a task. -

Javascript: Wait for a redirect to complete - creating multiple PDF's
Hi!
Here is the code that I am using to try to generate multiple reports from javascript. how do I wait for the redirect to complete (ie. generate the PDF) before redirecting to generate the next PDF?
In the code the "F106_" are application level items.
I get have been able to get the very first or the very last PDF but none of the other PDF's.
<script type="text/javascript">
function f_DoReport() {
for (i = 2; i <= 3; i++)
for (j = 1; j <= 4; j++)
var rgn = '0' + i;
var dst = '0' + j;
var vurl = 'f?p=&APP_ID.:30:&SESSION.:FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R27022113101536736_en-us:&DEBUG.::';
vurl += 'F106_RPT_REGION,F106_RPT_DISTRICT:' + rgn + ',' + dst;
redirect(vurl);
alert('rgn: ' + rgn + ' dst: ' + dst);
</script>Please let me know if I am going down the wrong path here. :D
As always thanks for your time and help!
Dave VenusA few questions…
Do you want a script that works with just the active document and you are going to run 300+ times? If so then this may do…
#target illustrator
function artboardsToPDFs() {
if (app.documents.length = 0) {
reurn;
} else {
var docRef = app.activeDocument;
var docName = docRef.name;
var baseName = docName.replace(/.ai$/,'');
var dF = docRef.path.fsName;
var aB = docRef.artboards;
var pdfOpts = new PDFSaveOptions();
pdfOpts.pDFPreset = '[Press Quality]';
for (var i = 0; i < aB.length; i++) {
var numb = (i+1).toString();
pdfOpts.artboardRange = numb;
var pad = aB.length.toString().length;
numb = zeroPad(i+1, pad);
var pdfFile = File(dF + '/' + baseName + '_' + numb + '.pdf');
if (!pdfFile.exists) {
docRef.saveAs(pdfFile, pdfOpts);
} else {
var rPDF = confirm('File: "' + pdfFile.name + '" already exists…\rDo you wish to replace?',false);
if (rPDF) {
docRef.saveAs(pdfFile, pdfOpts);
} else {
continue;
artboardsToPDFs();
function zeroPad(n, p) {
var t = n.toString();
while (t.length < p) {t = '0' + t};
return t;
Do you want to pick a folder of all the illustrator files? If this is the case I would need more info and it would take longer… -
The battery gauge is jumping from 100 to 94 !!!!
hello
I think I have this proplem , and it's a pain in the nick ... I just bought my laptop 3 weeks ago , from the first time using my laptop , the battery gauge was jumping from 100% to 95% and after 2 weeks it's jumping from 100% to 94% , any solution for this , if there is a proplem in the battery maybe I can return it and they well give another on because it's under warranty .. so what do you think I can do .... also I just did a calibration to my battery but nothing happend still the same proplem ...!!I would run a battery check first to see if it give a status (Replace) for the battery or under warranty Failure Id for the battery. Steps are below to run the battery check....1. Click START and select HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT...2. On the HP Support Assistant window, select Troubleshoot, and then select POWER,THERMAL, and MECHANICAL....AND LAUNCH BATTERY CHECK... If you get a failure code..PLEASE CONTACT HP FOR A REPLACEMENT.. I hope this information is helpful.....
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Iphone 4 "Waiting For Activation" problem
I have an iphone 4 and my facetime and imessage are saying "waiting for activation". I have tried turning off the wi-fi, turning off facetime, turning off caller ID, restarting the phone and then turning everything back on. Doesn't work! Help!

"waiting for activation" problem using FaceTime in my iPhone 4
I want to use my number instead of my Apple ID. It was working before until I turned my facetime off. Now when I turn it on the only logged in was the Apple ID not my phone number..

My internet service provider is BT in the UK. The home page is www.btinternet.com. After I've logged on, the home page displays fine - I can see the summary of my emails in one of the windows on the home page. The problem comes when I click on the mail application. The page then tries to load the email application. However, it never actually loads, it keeps jumping between connected and waiting for login. It never achieves it so I just have to click the 'back' button to get to the home page. I use chrome and ie but neither has this problem.
I retraced my steps to how i got the Google app:
App Store icon on Home Screen > Search, at bottom > entered Google
The first Google App on the screen appears:
Google logo small g in blue square: Google Search; Open (because it is already installed). Below that is a picture of the iPod with the usual Google Search screen. I have never inserted a link into a discussion group so i hope you can open this.
