Jumping to next page after downloading a pdf

Hello
I have three links on a page which load pdf files however clicking on the fisrt link is OK but if you click on the 2nd it jumps to the next page in the course. I want it to stay until someone clicks the next button only.

Hi there
You need to edit the Click Box or Button that is opening the PDF. There is a down arrow to the immediate right of the field. You click it to choose New to coax the PDF to open in a new window. Sounds like you have already done that. You need to click a second time and DE-select the "Continue playing project" option.
Once you do this the slide should stay put.
Note that this action will need to occur on each of the Buttons or Click boxes that open external documents.

I checked in script there is not any new-page command.

There could be many reason for this.
Please check the followings.
1. Page protection command is not used.
2. size of main window
try to debug the script and find the exact reason.

Thank's for your efforts, and I just wish that this was the solution. Unfortunately, it isn't because, after double-clicking on the pdf in the website, it simply "opens" in another Safari window as a black screen - the pdf is there, somewhere, but not visible (either as an icon, or as a document).
When I right-click in the black Safari window, where the file is supposed to be, the only option available to display the file is to "Open file in Internet Explorer" (which is not what I want to do). Other options include saving or printing the pdf, which I don't want until I've confirmed that it's the form that I want. The same options are offered if I right-click on the file icon in the website.
Any other suggestions, please?

Probably the file got corrupted during the download? Download it again.
If that does not correct the problem, can you share that file download?

Automatically skip to next page after video is finished?

Hi all,
I'm making a pdf presentation including embedded video's with Indesign.
When I'm presenting, the pdf is on full screen, and I use my wireless mouse (I'm not standing near my laptop) to go to the next page.
However, this method stops working after an embedded video has finished.
Is there a way to automatically make the page - with embedded video - skip to the next after the video has finished?
I hope someone can help me on this.

With the standard tools it's impossible, as there is no event triggered to indicate that a video has finished playing. You will need to use a different videoplayer widget when creating your PDFs in InDesign, then add some JavaScript to the PDF in Acrobat. See UVSAR : VideoPlayerX for Adobe Acrobat Pro and the examples for the vpx_listener() function.

After downloading a PDF file on my mobile i can't read it.

After downloading a generated PDF file on my android mobile from a website named http://ipoapply.com , when i try to open it with my adobe pdf reader app it show an error massage. But when i download it from my desktop i do not face any problem.

I think its problem with your PDF reader installed on Phone.

Safari fails to render Picasa page after downloading a photo

Not sure where and how to report this...
I download some photos from Picasa web interface to iPad local storage, using Safari as browser.
After downloading each photo, I go back to the album view, but it won't render, the page is almost blank.
Going up to album list and opening the album does not help.
But, if I go to iPad task list (or whatever you name it) and close Safari, then open it again, the album view reloads and renders ok.
So I'm inclined to think this is Safari bug rather than Google's.
Having to close and reopen Safari to download each picture is very annoying.

Some new information (but still no resolution)...
I created a new dummy user account. Safari worked there. So it's obviously something in my user account. However...
I removed all plug-ins (~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins as well as /Library/Internet Plug-Ins). Didn't help, so I put them back. I again deleted caches and the com.apple.Safari.plist file. I deleted the entire ~/Library/Safari folder. Still consistenly won't render slashdot.org or hotmail.com and intermittently fails to render various apple.com pages.
I even deleted the Safari app (v2.0.2) and re-installed from the Tiger DVD (v2.0). Same problems still exist.
Are there any other preference files to try deleting? Any other suggestions?

I can't swipe to next page after placing my edge animation in dps

I've created an animation in Edge and exported it as a .oam file. I've placed it into dps (full page size) and although it plays fine I'm no unable to swipe between pages.
Initially I thought instead of using the animation at the full page size I could use it smaller so I would be able to swipe the area outside of the animated object. My problem with this is that the background of the page is a coloured gradient and as I've not managed to export my animation with a transparent background I need to set the background up in Edge also. This leaves me with the problem of how to navigate to the next page?
Im new to Edge (as you can probably tell) so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Ross,
There's currently a bug when using DPS where the poster image won't clear from the composition and remains in the background when it plays in DPS. Does your animation automatically play? If so I have a workaround for you.
If you set your poster image to transparent, and your stage to transparent, the animation will play on a transparent background. Create a 1x1 transparent png and import it into your EA composition. In the publish settings, set this PNG file to be your poster image.
Also be sure to set your stage colour to 0% alpha.
Publish and you should be good to go.
As for not being able to swipe, Animate compositions import as "Web Overlays" which means overlay in the most literal sense; they are placed on top of your publication so any interactivity you have may interfere with the gestures of your publication as created in ID. You can opt to turn interactivity off in the web overlay panel in ID, though this might defeat the purpose of your placed composition. It sounds like in your case if you're able to get the transparent stage to work this might remedy some of the problems you were having.

Basically i am suck working with iweb and i would like to have an introductory video play when my site is opened and automatically move on to the welcome page after the video is done running. If someone could tell me how to code this, i would greatly appreciate it.

Cannot delete pages after saving a PDF in X Pro

I am on Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat XPro. Every time I try to delete pages in any PDF after saving I get the error message "one or more pages are in use and could not be deleted". the work around is to close the file and then reopen. Then you can delete the pages. It is annoying to have to shut and reopen the file everytime after making a change. Is there a fix to this?

Have you tried Help > Check for updates (in Acrobat)?
That very annoying problem is fixed in XI. I seem to recall it could be fixed by updating X, but I could be mistaken. Please report back.

Reverting back to PAGES after exporting as PDF

I created a document in PAGES and exported it as a PDF. I found errors and need to put it back into PAGES to make it editable. Is this possible? If not should I find the original PAGES document in my TIME MACHINE?

There are apps available on the Mac App Store that say they can convert PDFs to Pages. Here is the result of a search I did on AppShopper.com. There are fewer listed in a search on MacUpdate.com, but most of them do allow you to download a demo.
I've used PDF to Word on several occasions with good results. I had gotten at a discount some time back. I see that the same developer has a program that can convert PDFs to multiple formats. You can download a demo from their website.

New iPod Classic jumps to next track after a few seconds of certain songs

I have several tracks that will not play on my new iPod Classic (80 gig) for more than a few seconds. After a few seconds, the iPod jumps to the next track. I have played the same songs on my last generation iPod with no problem and in Itunes and Windows Media player with no problem. There is clearly an issue with the new iPod hardware/software. Anyone else having this issue and found a fix.
I have already done a complete reinstall of the new iTunes and restored my iPod to factory settings and installed the latest iPod software.

Actually - I just noticed your solution to the issue. I tried PT's solution, which I mention above and it didn't work. I haven't tried your solution - however, I have considered it. Here's the problem with it though. The first problem is having to sift through 5400+ songs on my ipod to know which ones are having the issue and which ones need to be burned. The second issues is that the songs are compressed mp3's. Converting the compressed mp3's into a cd and reimporting it back into mp3 further degrades the file - you're essentially making an mp3 from an mp3. It actually makes no sense to do this unless you've purchased your music from an online store and therefore don't have the original cd's. Since all of my music is from my cd collection, it would be simpler to re-import the songs from the cds. But, it's really the first issue I mentioned that is the kicker - I don't want to go through my entire music collection to find out which ones are having the problem. The problem isn't the tracks as far as I am concerned - I still have my previous generation iPod and the same tracks play fine. The same tracks play fine in iTunes and Windows Media Player. The problem is the new iPod. If Apple can't resolve the issue through an iPod/iTunes update in the next week or so, I'll just return the iPod and stick with my old one.

Hi, I try to know wich page I´m going after I push a button. My webapp is ADF Faces, and I don´t know how to do this. I use this:

But this code, let me obtain in 'puntoFuncion' variable the current page in the request.

Tables jumping to next page

I am trying to convert a Word Document to PDF. This document has 2 pages, and there is a table on each page. When I convert them to PDF, the table on page two shows up at the bottom of page 1.
That row at the very bottom is the top of the table that should be on page 2.
How do I get Acrobat to format this correctly?

Open WORD and go to the print selection. Select the Adobe PDF printer. Now edit your word file. In word you should always go to a new page if needed with a new page command (ctrl-Enter). WORD reflows the document whenever you select a new printer to best match the printer. So to be sure it is compatible with a PDF you should select the Adobe PDF printer before editing.

Problem going to next page after scratch off effect

Does anyone know what the problem we are having might be? We did the scratch off effect and it works on the page we created. Very nice. But we are unable to swipe to the next or previous page. Once the wipe away is done, we get stuck on that page. We can't move off of it. Any suggestions?

Add navigation buttons to the page or leave an empty space at the top or bottom that can be swiped.
