JumpTarget Web Bex Template open in 0analysis_pattern

Hi,
we copied 0analysis_pattern Web Bex template into a custom one.
Using this custom template, when with a Goto on context menu we jump to a target query the new window is the standard 0analysis_pattern template and not the custom one. How can we make sure the target query is opened in the proper template ? We use a template for each user profile ( 4 ) .

While defining the Jump target in RSBBS. You can use one of these options in your case
1. You can use the "Web Address" and specify there the target query URL with the addition TEMPLATE="your custom web template"
2. create a separate custom template for this query with DP_1 initialized to the target query and select this web template as Jump target (BW JAva template for BI 7.0 and BI 3.x template for 3.x)
Not sure if the drilled down values of characteristics can be passed from source to the Jump target.
Question: Can you please let me know how are you maintaining separate template for each user profile.

Hello All,
I want to open a BEx Analyzer Workbook from a Web Application Template.
My vision is, that I have got a Button in my Web Application Template and when clicking on
it a Web Analyzer Workbook opens. The Analysis Item in the template and the Grid in the workbook are based on the same DataProvider. So you can open the report in web or in excel, but the people shouldn't open Excel separately when they use the web frontend.
I only found an export function, but this doesn't open a workbook. I couldn´t find a good solution here as well...

Newbie need help with Web BEx setup!

Out of curiosity, I decided to install Netweaver so I can have a play with it. I am a complete newbie to Netweaver therefore I apologise if this is out of context...
Here's my question:
How do one go about getting Web BEx to work?
Whenever I activate the link in the portal, I get an error about unknown "SWITCH_AXES" command and 0ANALYSIS type 4 error. I search the forum and the few passing mentions of the problem points to OSS notes that is only accessible through service marketplace (which I don't have an ID). I have check the object types in BI content and seems that 0ANALYSIS is already activated. There must be something I am missing. Tried blindly and randomly installed other BI content (mostly Web templates and objects) but to no avail (and encounted a few short dumps).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
So far, here're what I did:
1) Install Netweaver 2004S ABAP and Java on the same machine. Instance 00, 01 and 02 respectively.
2) Try to run BI-Java template installer, but met with error part way. So some of the steps are done manually.
3) Set up SLD (both instance are in the landscape), and 'partially' set up SSO. Partially as while JAVA to ABAP seems to work, ABAP to JAVA is not working. Anoying but livable.
4) Installed TREX (instance 03) and are seen by ABAP and JAVA.
5) ABAP is seen in the portal and I can create transactional iviews and put them in the Portal (with working SSO).
6) Did reverse-proxying with Apache, but I don't think it matters as it seems to be a backend module issue.
7) Business planning/wizard is working (in ABAP and Portal) as is Broadcast. As you can see, Web BEx is the only thing that is not working

The default link for Web Analyser in EP 7 seems to point to the new template. When opening the analysis template in the new BEx windows tool, the same error is being reported. Using 3.5.x WAD, I can't locate the template.
More on this issue Although for that case, the meta data is not installed. Is there a way to trace missing component and reinstall the needed BI content in RSA1?
BTW, these are on JAVA SP9 and ABAP SP11.

Thank you very much for your suggestions.
But I am not creating a custom workflow in designer as Laura has mentioned. I am instead trying to create a new Out of the box Approval Workflow and I get the error mentioned above.
As it works in other environment, I tried figuring out the possible differences which can lead to this error.
Today I found one difference which is there are no form Templates within Infopath Configurations in Central Admin. Now I am trying to figure out what makes this form templates to be added to the template gallery.

BEx Template to Execute Queries in 7.X

Hi ,
I want to create a BEx Template, So that when we execute queries in the BEx Analyzer, the Query output should come in the BEx Template with Company Logo.
Can you advise, how to create a BEx Templete in BW 7.X.
In 3.X, we just open a spreadsheet and keep the logo and save it as a global template.

All the limits you mention 100 e-mails at a time and 500 in a four hour time frame are limitations imposed by your mail provider, not Thunderbird. Thunderbird places no restrictions on the maximum number of recipients.

I'm not clear on where you are seeing that text. When I view Google's cached page from the page found in this search

It doesn't match yours exactly. There is an iframe with a Google map in it in the "Hosting Analysis" section, which in your pasted page seems to be the "Site Server" section.

This was discontinuted in CS5 howerver you could migrate that plugin to CS5. I don`t know if you can do this with CS6.
To my knowledge they only provided a revised Contact sheet II script for CS6. In my opinion a very bad idea because they should have put all efforts and resources to enhance the Output Module PDF contact sheet that has far more options.
Still not using web galleries but the goal for web gallery was also to use this in the Adobe Output Module, maybe that provides you the options you want?

How to create a Web ADI template and save it in our apps?

I want to create a user enrollment template it Web ADI so that I can send the form to the client and they will just fillup the spreadsheet with all the users they want to add to the system then load it using Web Adi.

Opening an Excel file with custom formatting while BEx is open

Hi,
we just noticed something pretty weird (first time I see it in my carreer). One of the end users had BEx open (just launched the BEx Analyzer without actually opening a query/workbook) and tried to open one of her "own" Excel sheets out of Explorer.
The file opened but all of a sudden the custom formatted currency fields changed from US$ amounts to DM amounts??? I assume DM stands for Deutsche Mark (a currency which has not been in use for about 9 years I believe). This "custom" format seems to only appear when BEx is opened. End user has Excel03 with BI AddOn 7.X Support Package 8, Patch 1, Revision 1443. When I do this on my own pc (I have Excel07 and the same BI AddOn), I get exactly the same behavior, be it a bit slower (I can see the file opening with $ amounts which slowly change to DM amounts). There are no macro's in the Excel workbook (was one of my first checks). I also tried opening the file from within Excel, but it gives the same weird behavior. Next check was to open a BI report first (so there was no empty BEx session) and then open the file in Excel... still the same.
Ok, then I assumed it would use some kind of "marker" to point to the correct entry in the list of custom formats, but even that is not true. In the original file (opened in Excel when BEx is not open), it takes position 43. If I open the file while BEx is open, it takes position 49.
Did anyone experience this before?

Hi,
you are using BI Frontend SP 801 and the next available Frontend SP should provide a fix for the issue. I would recommend to install Frontend SP 902, the latest one. Note [1294215|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1294215] describes the issue and refers to Frontend SP 900.

Using web.show_document to open xml file

I have successfully created an xml file and saved it to a directory on my hard drive. I was tyring to find answers to Client_OLE2 and stumbled upon Web.Show_Document to open this file. Essentially the file is in a spreadsheet format so when I manually open using IE then Excel is launched. Anyway, currently I am running forms locally and have set a virtual-directory virtual-path in my orion-web.xml file. My virtual path is /report_tmp/. So in my form I have issued the following call to launch a browser and display the file:
Web.Show_Document('/report_tmp/'||v_filename, '_BLANK');
This call does not produce any errors nor does it display the file. What am I doing wrong?

Is the browser launching?
If it is have you tried a show source on the browser window?
Sometimes if you open an XML file in a browser you get a blank page but the XML is there. Something to do with the XML format I think. I'm no expert on XML just a behaviour I have observed.

Transition timings in Web Gallery templates

All,
Have to admit, I've never delved deeply here, instead building slideshows in Lightroom and iPhoto. Is there any way to speed up, slow down, etc., the transition timings in the Web Gallery templates provided? Any way in building User Templates to do it? I did a search, and found an old 2007 request on LR 1 that went unanswered.

In Slideshow module panel at the right part we have tools that include:
Options
Layout
Overlays
Backdrop
Titles
and Playback - that what we need, this tool consist Slide Duration where you can choose in scroll boxes:
Sliders (the sample 4,0sec), Fades (2,5sec)
I think somthing very near (like) must be in oldeer versions of LR.

I think what you are saying is that we need those same type tools (slide duration, fading, etc.) in the Web Module. If so, then I agree. I do not see anyway to adjust the timings of the Web Module templates.

Another NEW Flash Web Gallery Template!

Hey Guys,
I just finished a cool new web gallery template for Lightroom. This one allows you to select multiple images and give them a category name. The template will then separate the images out into different galleries/categories. From the template you can view all the images or just images in a particular gallery/category.

Photoshop CS4 web gallery template in Lightroom?

I have a custom web gallery template set up in Photoshop CS4. I would like to use it in Lightroom, but it appears the Lightroom web gallery templates are in a different format (and not so customisable). Is there a way I can use my CS template in LR??

I am trying out Lightroom to see if it can replace PS for my needs. So far its not looking good! Looks like I might have to upgrade PS instead. I am preffy proficient with PS and have several custom functions set up. My web gallery integrates with my website and has been developed over a time to get it just how I like it. I can also drop in and edit the HTML to tweak it as I go.
