June 2014 Still no HSL color model or a decent Color Wheel what are you doing Adobe ?
Its 2014 , I been using PS since 1996 and yet Adobe is still lacking anykind of HSL color model and a decent Color wheel (not that unfriendly shift+alt+right mouse thing ;a decent one in color panel) . What do you have to say for your self ? lacking funds ? not enough software engineers ? You have no excuse. There are open source software which has this capability and yet PS lacks it.And yet we get stupid features like touch gestures and hue cubes !
And for those people who are thinking of suggesting addons or plugins. Don't . Its not an excuse , we dont need to pay extra for something which should be there by default.
I had to manually do a 1849 HSL color wheel to solve this problem partially. It not accurate and its not correct and its fixed in one lightness value. I forgot its also not scalable...
As a concept artist / 3D generalist I been waiting for this feature for a long time. Ok we get it Adobe cant pull of a true color mix model like Corel Painter (which I also own, because of lack of it PS)
At least try a little and do the simple thing like HSL wheel model... You have the time to code kuler & kuler plugin but not a decent wheel with a hsl model.
Anastasiy's MagicPicker Photoshop color wheel panel perfectly works in Photoshop CC 2014. They have a temporary price for CC 2014 so you can get it for $9.99! (here)
You can be ideologically against plugins but this one looks and works perfect and it's so cheap now... so I don't think Adobe even needs to make something like that... looks like it's already there!

I have been waiting since months for the new IPad4G 64 Gbt. ON recommendation of Apple Support I have changed my IPad 4G last week in the hope that something was wrong with the firts one I bought.
The one I have now has the same problems. WiFi is working however 4G not at all. Apple what can I do? What are you doing for the thausands of German Apple fans who have bought a IPad4G and can not use it. We need a solution NOW. I´m working with this tool and need to be able to rely on it.
Thanks for a feed back.JKerki wrote:
They had not heard about the problem, however made no problem to change it for an other one. Apple Support Germany pretendet not to know about this problem. However the web is full of complaints.
It would be advisable for Apple to react officially on it. € 799, - for something that doesn´t function is no fun :-((
Isn't replacing your iPad Apple "officially" acting on it? -
Still on PS3? What are you waiting for?
Are you still playing PlayStation 3? Why haven't you moved to the new generation with PlayStation 4? What are you waiting for? A specific game? The right price? Morpheus?
i'm broke at the moment, but in all fairness, I've got plenty of stuff to keep me busy as it is on my PS3 (as well as my WiiU, Amiga, Spectrum, 3DS, PC and Atarti2600) so I have no real need to upgrade. Furthermore, I'm not sure where to go next gen yet. It's tooe arly days to make a sensible decisison. Morpheus is callling to me, but currently I am much more impressed with the XboxOne with all its functionality, external HDD support and codecs, than the rather barren and user-unfriendly (for me anyway) PS4. I am also very angry and unforgiving with Sony for all the content removal on both my PS3 and SmartTV (which has lost Facebook, Midnight Pulp, Sony Entertainment TV, Crackle, Viewster and a whole host of other apps they decided they didn't want to run anymore.) As well as loads of things on the TV that just dont work properly that they cant be bothered to fix, incluing something that casues Youtube to crash all the time. The loss of PSHome was the final straw for me with Sony. Contrary to what a lot of people like to think it was very busy, and for me it was quite important, due to health issues I am fairly housebound, and it was a very good way for me to socialize.I just don't trust Sony anymore to make something that won't be downgraded in the near future. If Morpheus is great then I might be tempted to PS4 in time, but with rumors starting to emerge that the XboXone might support the Oculus, Sony have even lost the VR edge. Just wait and see for now.

I was looking at this iPod 5 on Ebay earlier and in the description it said iCloud locked. I've heard of iPhones being cloud locked but you can still use them as a regular iPod touch, that's what my sister does. But what does it mean when an iPod is cloud locked? Can I not do certain things? I would just like to know this in case I decide to buy. Thanks.

I thought that I understood that once music uploads or matches to iTunes match, that my library would no longer be stored (using space) on my iPhone. Before the purchase, my library took 4GB space. Since the purchase, I haven't downloaded/listened to any tracks, but it is still showing as using 4GB space on my phone. And 2 days after the purchase, out of 1364 songs, 734 remain on my device, and not in Cloud (evident when selecting to show only tracks that have been downloaded to device). So why has approximately only half of my library been stored in Cloud, and why, despite around half of my library having gone to Cloud, is it still using 4BG space on my phone???
Hi,
On your iPhone Go to Settings > General > Manage Storage > Music - this tells you amount used for All songs and lists the music on your phone. You can delete music from here.
All your music in the cloud should now show download arrow but when you play a track, it is downloaded.

Will i lose the money or will it just sit there in my itunes account???
From iTunes Gift balances :
You can't redeem or return iTunes Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, and unused store credit balances for cash except as required by law. If your jurisdiction allows for refund of redeemed gift balances, you can request a refund by contacting iTunes Store Support, selecting a support category and topic, and including the following information in your request detail:
Apple ID (this is your iTunes Store account name)
Store credit refund amount
Current shipping address
Additional information may be requested for verification purposes.
So you might be able to get it back -
I have a Macbook 2008, Mac OS X, version 10.5.8, processor 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3.
I downloaded Firefox 4.0 as prompted two times on different days and the same thing occurred.Firefox 3.6.16 has a newer build and release date than Firefox 4.0 does.

I mean, why shouldn't those apps show up when I look for them, since they are from 3rd parties and if they must be there, how about an idea of who they are and whate they do. I would expect as the owner to have some sort of explanation of who the 3rd party is, why there apps are apprearing on your ipad without permission, and maybe the ramifications of taking off or at least turning them off. Its not rocket science, people. It really about our rights as pople, right???
Edgy44 wrote:

Most likely because they are not apps. They are background processes the OS is runnning.

I suggest you sell your iPad and not worry about it any longer. -
Never buying a Adobe product again. I'm in supporting for death of Flash. This is gone too far. I'm pissed to the core with Adobe. I would rather have FCP do the job than this crap where i don't get support.
Meetajhu,
MPE with GPU acceleration does indeed speed up both renders and encoding (when exporting from Premiere Pro 5/5.5) by a factor of generally between 1.5 and 1.8. See the following thread to better understand what I mean by this:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3459631?tstart=0
I just ran a test with all files on a single drive and to export 7.25 minutes of AVCHD to MPEG2-DVD (NTSC, progressive, wide, HQ) and comparing HW assisted vs. SW only I get:
w/ GTX 580 = 90% CPU + 54% GPU (takes 1:21)
software only = 98% CPU + 0% GPU (takes 2:00)
As you and others point out, when using MPE w/ GPU can speed up the time required for "Timeline Rendering" by up to a factor of infinity, but that can be useless if only doing a "render effects in timeline" (Enter key) is not enough rendering for your hardware to provide smooth playback from the timeline!
For example, if you have a timeline that show fully "red", as the AVCHD example above does on my PC, then PPro will force a partial render before it will even play back the clip (even though on my PC it plays flawlessly by simply pressing the spacebar). Then, when I shift over to "MPE with GPU accelaration" the whole timeline shows a yellow bar indicating that it is ready for playback without any rendering.
Finally, try to give PPro a chance; FCP had years of being at the top, but it is PPro's time now!

Hello everyone,
I am currently doing research into color effects and I would like to use the CIE-Lch (lightness, chroma, hue) color model. This is the most prevalent color model used in research. However, I cannot find the sliders for this color model.
Does anybody know how I can alter the settings or transform other color models to the CIE-Lch type?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Greetings,
StijnHi
Have you tried to use IColorPickerPanelHelper, IColorPickerPanelAttributes, IColorPickerWidgetProvider?
Regards

IWeb 09 - Color picker not selecting matching color
I have tried to use the color picker to match colors in iWeb 09 and it seems impossible to match the colors. I go to the color picker and use the magnifying glass to try to match an existing color and the selected color is not exactly the same as the color I am trying to match. Very frustrating. I have searched and other folks have been reporting similar problems.
When are you seeing the mismatch? In iWeb after applying the magnifying glass or after publishing? What are you trying to match? Backgounds? Objects? Text?
It's been noted that after publication some colors have been changed in the css file from the rgb alpha code it was originally set to to the # number code (or vise versa - I don't remember which) which changes the published color slightly. Tried to find the topic just now but couldn't.
Definitely a bug to be reported to http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html.
If you're trying to match a page background to a browser background and you're not using a theme that uses images for it's background you can set the page background to none and let the browser background color work for both areas.

Philippe Levesque: "Good article ! I would add that changing the lease time to be shorted could help too."
JM: "A very good article, however you might consider adding this content as a section in your article about expired IP addresses in DHCP"

Richard Mueller: "A great collection of useful tools. Some could use images, more detail, or examples. The example sections could be added to the Table of Contents."
GO: "Well, our new french MVP! Well written Hicham! Do not forget to pray attention for the layout! It's capital for readers and judges!"
