Junk Mail icon turns to "NOT junk mail" when dragged to toolbar

Okay, maybe I'm missing something here. I get a piece of mail that Mail thinks is junk. I'm supposed to be able to select the message, and click on the "mark as junk" icon, or go to the menu and do Mark Message as Junk. Well, neither of those options exist. Within the menu, I can only Mark Message as Not Junk. When I try to drag the Junk icon from the toolbar options to the toolbar, it turns into a Not Junk icon on the way. Wierd.

This sounds like Mail already thinks that the message is Junk. The switches are automatic, and will swap between Junk/Not Junk depending on which the message is.

Highlighted Hard Drive Icons on Desktop no longer open when dragging/copyin

I noticed this yesterday and I have no idea how to fix it - hope someone here might have a quick fix.
When I attempt to move files into my folders from the desktop, I used to simply drag the files over the icon of the hard drive I wished to place it, and the icon would highlight, and then open, and I could navigate to the folder I wanted and drop them, and all the windows would close.
Now when I attempt to move files off the desktop in this way, the hard drive icon will highlight, but won't' open the window automatically as it used to.
I've done a permission repair and that didn't help it.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for your response. That was exactly the problem. I have no idea how it became switched off, since I'm the only one that uses the computer, but no matter.

Items on my side bar do not go Poof when dragged off? Help!

If I pull an item off my side bar it just jumps right back. Mydock items go poof with out problems, but not the side bar items.

Photoshop sequences not sized appropriately when dragging to main sequence

I am working with photoshop layers in a sequence, which I am bringing into the main sequence. When I size them in the viewer and apply wireframe motion to them, they play just fine (and look fine) in that sub-sequence.
When I move that sequence from the viewer into the main sequence, they are totally oversized. I have configured each window (viewed and canvas) "fit to window". They move off the window in the main sequence but in the photoshop sequence, they are sized properly.
I have tried resizing them in the main sequence but it doesn't seem to work unless you resize in the sub-sequence first.
Please help....I have been pulling out my hair on this and even set up a ProCare with the local Apple FCE expert. They couldn't help.

You didn't say but I'm assuming you're working in DV NTSC.
Your PSD sequence is much larger, and the wrong aspect ratio, compared to your video. It bears no resemblance to it. You're make a very large sequences, making your animation in it, and placing in inside a much smaller sequence. The two don't match at all. Fit to window is not relevant. The PSD window is based on an image 1150x1718, and that's the Canvas the PSD sequence uses. Your edited sequence is 720X480 and that's its Canvas size. Fit to window just means make the Canvas display fit the size of the window you've create for it in the application. It doe not scale the images to fit the Canvas.
I don't know exactly what you're doing, but it would be easier for you if you made the images the right size in Photoshop to start with. Or you could copy and paste from inside the PSD sequence into the edited sequence, which will automatically scale the material to fit the window, and you can animate the layers in the edited sequence. This may or may not work for you depending on your material.

How do I make Firefox Google Search text that is not a website when drag and dropped to a new tab or existing one

Exactly what the title says. Firefox did this before updating to 5 if I'm not mistaking. I want Firefox to Google search text when I drag it to the tabs bar (when an arrow pointing in between tabs appears). From there a new tab with the Google search should appear normally.

Title and description may be clear to you it is certainly not clear to me.
If I drag "title and description" which is not a url and try to create a new tab with it nothing will happen. I can drag that text to the the search bar and do a search.
If I grabbed a url which was text not shown as a link I can drag to the location bar, the new tab button, to a tab, between two tabs and that is all legitimate.
I can drag a ''[http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/kws.htm link]" without selecting it in the same manner the location bar, the new tab button, to a tab, between two tabs and that is all legitimate.
I cant see that you have lost what it sounds like you had because I don't think you would have generated a search in that manner. You can certainly drag something like a sentence to the search bar, so even if you were the only one that could do start a search by dragging text you can still drag it to the search bar.

GB limit on MP3 format? mono 64k not showing up when dragged into track

I cannot drag and drop files I compressed to mono 64k MP3 files with Squeeze into Garage band.
Are there limitations in GB regarding MP3 support?

I am trying to Batch compress so I don't have to wait for each output from GB and after reading that GB can use MP3s and does not uncompress compressed files was why I decided to do it that way.
As it is now I can open the AIFF in GB add the artwork for the podcast and any other info and then export as MP4 only.
MP4 is not compatible with MP3 players or MP3 cds.
Soooo Long story short:
I want to have MP3s available via the website as well as podcasts. I don't want to have to do the work twice. I don't want to have to wait for each file to be compressed before I can start on the next podcast.

It looks like I am locked into making all of the Podcasts MP4s if I want to use Garageband which makes the files incompatible with all the other MP3 players AFAIK.
And when I am going to send to iWeb I will have to wait for compression.
Then I can go back and batch compress all of the AIFF files to MP3s for everyone else.

This all seems silly as PodCasting supports MP3 files.
I guess I need to find some other software or learn more about programming PodCasts.

CC: Panels do not resize smoothly when dragging between them

When I drag between two panels, to adjust the vertical space of two stacked panels, the movement is not smooth. Sometimes it even continues to resize in a jerky fashion, after I've stopped dragging. This started to be a problem in CS6 and continues in CC. Is there a way to fix it?

As a work-around I suggest you to keep your App Frame ON. (menu Windows >> Application Frame).

FCE viewer does not play smoothly when dragging play head manually.

Any settings I need to be able to scroll through clips in the viewer without it skipping frames? Rendered clips are fine on the canvass.

Yeah just copying the mpeg4 files from the sd card and pasting to my hard drive. nothing else. I don't know how else to get video in except for playing on the camera and capturing via fce.
That seemed convoluted to me. But I am a beginner!
Perhaps I should render all my clip files prior to import but I don't know how to do that. Everything works great on the canvass once rendered.

How to make JPanel not to move when dragged using mouse

There is no built in support for dragging a panel with the mouse, so you must have custom code.
So as the question is stated we aren't able to help you.
If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.

Try resetting the Junk Mail filter. This will start it on a new learning curve. Mail/Preferences/Junk Mail.

"Erase messages in the junk mailbox when:..." not working

Option to "Erase messages in the junk mailbox when:..." not working.
I have this set in all accounts to "one day old", but junk mail in the Junk Mailbox older than one day still appears. When I re-select this option under the accounts pref's, junk mail older than one day is properly deleted, but after a day it's back to not deleting anymore!
I've deleted the Mail pref file, etc, but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Well, the Mailbox Behaviors settings are specific for each account, and the On My Mac Junk mailbox isn’t associated with any mail account, so there appears to be no way to specify such setting for that particular mailbox.
The thing is, the whole situation you’re describing doesn’t really make sense. If those messages end up in the On My Mac Junk mailbox, that means you’re manually marking them as junk after they’ve been moved to a custom “On My Mac” mailbox, which makes me believe what’s really happening here is not that many messages aren’t caught by the junk filter. What appears to be happening is that you have custom rules that prevent the junk filter from being able to catch them...

Notes get deleted when mailed

I am seeing a problem with the notes app wherein when I mail the note (by hitting the mail icon at the bottom) it gets deleted. The note was mailed succesfully, but for some reason it disappeared on my notes list. Is anybody else seeing this?

Hello - I just posted a Q and am reading your answer here from a year ago. Maybe you can help me.
I Have a series of notes I've kept the last several years on various topics. I just added a topic To a note on iPhone 5 I have had running at least 3 yrs (my point is it's kinda important note). When I finished adding I was 1/2 paying attention and clicked the + at the top. That brought me to a blank page so I realized I clicked +. So, I clicked Done. That brought me to the menu of my notes - except the note I had added to was no longer there. DISAPPEARED. And, I am pretty sure I never clicked delete - but, like I said, I was 1/2 paying attention - however, if delete was clicked, it would have been after I clicked + and applicable (I guess) to that newly created + topic. But I really don't remember clicking delete.
Now I have gone thru all my note topics to see if the disappeared note may have been added somewhere but it's not there. I then got the bright idea to turn on my iPad and look at Notes and sure enough the disappeared note is gone from there also.
DO you have any ideas?? Or is this note gone forever? :-(

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.
If extensions aren't causing the problem, see below.

Mail is open but it is frozen, being this the reason why you cannot open the Mail window. Press Alt, Command and Esc keys or go to  > Force Quit, select Mail and force quit it. Finally, you will be able to turn off or restart the MacBook

Why do I get a window opening regarding aol mail when I do not have an active aol account?

When I open mail this window opens:
My Mail does not include any aol mail; my me.com mail, and two gmail accounts are all that l use.

Have you created an iCloud account? This is not the account or ID you use for iTunes. And where exactly are you turning on notes? In what area within settings of your devices?
