Junk mail shows 30 messages but none showing up in actual list

Ok, don't I have to rebuild something to solve this problem? Junk mail is showing I have 53 messages in it but none are in the actual list of messages. How do I fix this?

Alright, I think I have a solution, or at least it worked for me. It's a bit of a workaround but it does the trick.
1. Created a new user in "Accounts"
2. Set up the email account freshly in my new user mail
3. Once I verified that it worked I copied my com.apple.mail.plist which is in user/library/preferences/... to a hard drive.
4. I copied or archived/compressed my Mail folder which is in user/library.. and copied that to my external hard drive.
5. I went back to my "Account" user with the corrupt email account and went to my Mail folder and archived and compressed that folder and copied it to my hard drive under a different mail name(So not to overwrite the other mail archive. This is only to be able to import mail back into my account once I've got mail working again.
6. Went to my hard drive and to the com.apple.mail.plist and I overwrite the previous plist in the preferences folder on my /user/library/preferences/...
7. I uncompressed the NEW EMAIL MAIL folder on my external hard drive, and then I dragged and copied it over the other MAIL folder in my user/library/... folder.
8. I opened my mail to find everything clean but my new email account from the other user created.
9. I began importing my old mail and then dragging it back into my INBOX to repopulate my mail. I then did the same for my signatures, mailboxes and whatever else I needed.
Everything seems to be working great so far, will let you know if I come across any hiccups. Hope this works for all of you.

IPads (3) show updates available but none show up in the screen

all of my iPhone (2) have the updates, my iPads (3) show updates available but none show up in the screen. I've restored all of them even going so far as to remove them from iCloud for iTunes and then putting them back on.

IT's a glitch on Apple's server. You can either wait it out or if you want to update your apps, go to the App store and the purchased tab and scroll through your apps. The ones with updates will have banners on them and you can update them that way.

When I do this, I receive an SMS with a code, but have no way to continue in the browser. I have enabled find my iPhone on at least one device, and can see all my devices in the find-my-iPhone app. Am I missing something?

His step 6 shows the 'Step 1 of 4' page where you should click 'Add an SMS-capable phone number'.
His step 7 shows the 'Add a phone number' window where you can enter the phone number and click 'Next'. The phone should then receive the code by SMS.
His step 8 shows the 'Verify Device' window which should appear automatically in which you can enter the code.
Are you not seeing the window in step 8? if this is not popping up automatically then something is going wrong: you could try clearing your browser's cache and trying again. If it still won't work you may have to contact Support: Go to https://getsupport.apple.com ; click 'See all products and services', then ' 'iTunes', and then 'iTunes Store', then 'Account Management' then 'Apple ID account security' - this seems to be the nearest relevant option.

Apple mail search finds the message but cannot show its content, why?

I have a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion installed on it. All the updates are also installed.
The problem is that I can quickly find a message among 100,000 messages sorted in different folders in Apple Mail, but as I click on the message, it keeps showing "loading..." and never shows the content of that message.
When I manually go to that message, Mail shows the content properly. So it happens only when I try to see the content of the message that has been found through search function.
Any ideas?

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "mdworker" (without the quotes) in the Filter text field. Select the most recent 50 or so messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are long runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Some personal information, such as the names of your files, may be included — anonymize before posting.

I moved from Microsoft's feature-rich Entourage mail recently to bring my email into the house of Apple to get more Apple mobile stuff like iPhone --- and synchronise it all.
But since coming to Mail I have read so much that says Apple Mail is so rudimentary, and has so many problems including this and many others. And they reach back into Snow Leopard.
Apple Mail is such a poor relative of all the other Apple products it seems like it is in anohter time zone.
I hope Apple realise that some people (or increasing numbers maybe) will migrate to Apple Mail just to pick up synchroniicity off iCloud, for their laptop and iPhone. so they can service their email on the move away from the desk.
Also I hope they realise that a significant part of their market is serious professional people who rely on Apple Mail as infrastructure which is as important a electricity, gas, and the water. We can't live out here without email any more. Why migrate to a flaky neglected utility?
How can Apple let these problems lie for year after year and just concentrate on flogging music and video to kids(and, well, me occasionally).
In the next year I will have to decide whether remaining loyal to Apple (since 1988) is the way to keep going, or to buy the Google Android product, go Gmail and use their cloud co-ordination.

HT4623 Ipad mini shows 2 updates for apps but none show in the app

Hi. the title really says it all. My Ipad mini shows updates for 2 apps but none appear in Appstore Update. Have tried a reset, turning off the Appstore app and then restarting but no joy. Any suggesitons appreciated.

I too am experiencing the App Update indicating several updates are available...but none show and the Update All does not show either. I see several Apple products have this problem. Need a fix!

Can anyone yet find a problem to the Apple Update Icon showing several updates are available...but...none show to actually update....just a blank screen. I have done several reset operations, including complete reset as recommended by others, but yet the problem remains. I need a fix to this so I can update the Apps indicated. Apple needs to publish this fix PRONTO.

The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

Junk Mail, Pushing messages, and a mystery icon

1) Is there a junk mail filter? the Junk filter works so well on the iMac, I'd love to have one on my iTouch.
2) Is there a way to limit the dates of messages that are loaded onto the device? If I've been working at the office and haven't used the iPod for a week, it's a nuisance to turn it on and have 200 messages show up, either that I've already dealt with at my desk, or are junk.
3) So, I push the trash can icon again and again. Sometimes, however, the trash can icon is replaced by a file box with an arrow, and this icon isn't mentioned in the online user manual. Does anyone know what it is?

2 - No you can just vary the number of message to download.
3. The icon is probably an archive . My gmail account shows an down arrow into open box and it is an archive. To delete I select move and move to trash.

Recordset shows tables but doesnt show columns!!

Working on my first dynamic website, server on a datastick
(WOS)...using dreamweaver 8.02 and phpmyadmin
All connections with dreamweaver are successful for the
database created in phpmyadmin...but when i create a recordset in
the recordset dialogue box it finds the table names but not the
column names (when i click the + for each table it comes up as
'none')
I have hand coded the SQL in the recordset dialogue box to
create my recordsets, and when i click test, i get a successful
result...including the column names
Point is I would like to save time with dreamweaver....any
ideas why column names of each menu show up as 'none' in the
recordset dialogue box when they clearly exist in the test after
hand coding?
If anyone can help or even has experience of this I would be
most grateful

I assume that you are using CF as your testing server. If so
what you are
seeing is a bug in the update. The work around appears to be
to change the
database type when creating the DNS in the CF Administrator

Junk mail-why don't I have an option for Is junk mail in messages flag not junk mail

I have a brown coloured email which has been accurately diagnosed as junk mail, but when I go to Messages>flag>...the only two options I have are "not junk mail" and "mark as unread" yet in the help support it says that it should have "junk mail" there too. So far I cant mark it as junk mail - so I usually just delete them. Any advice please? Thank you.

Have you studied Mail prefernces? If not, go to Mail > preferences > Junk mail and check out the options there. Alternately, click on the 'info' question mark and follow up anything you are currently unsure of.

Junk Mail colour changing, but not being flagged

I installed Tiger a couple of days ago and updated to 10.4.4. I'm noticing that particularly when I recieve several junk emails together the colour of them is changed as per my junk mail preferences, however, they are not always actually flagged as junk mail as well.
I report all of my spam through Spamcop.net, so I open all of my junk mail, however, if I see the colour has changed I know it's spam, but if I don't notice it's not actually flagged then the images load upon opening ... which is obviously not what I want.
I'm still trying to figure out a pattern for when this happens as I'm sure it's not happening all of the time - and it does seem related to receiving a batch of spam, such as first thing in the morning. I will do more attention paying, but if anyone has any clues about what the problem might be I'd be most grateful.
