Does anyone have an email address to report a scam to get apple IDs
I just got an bogus email, that looks real, that also leads to a fake Apple site, wanting you to check, and verify your info, including the pass word

As Stedman1 says but also read the following notes from Apple.   They will alert you to the various other kinds of approach, too.  Never click on a link if you are not sure of the sender.

  • Just a heads up on verizon scam

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that there is yet another verizon scam going around. Just got a call from (800) 888 9617 saying I have won the verizon price or whatever said I won $123 off my bill,  then to log into vzw123.com. This is not real, someone just trying to rip people off.

I just received the same type of phishing scam call.  It was showing in the caller ID as 800-888-9620 and upon answer an automated recording indicated that Verizon was calling about a pending $123 refund check.  They indicated that I needed to visit vzw123.com and enter my account information to claim the check.  The recording played twice and the call disconnected.  Seems like there are a few variations of this scam floating around using a variety of spoofed caller id numbers (CSID) and a variety of websites addresses.

Often when I do a search and then click on the link I am redirected to a fake or phishing website. How can I stop this? Thank you!

Usually you would get to a phishing site directly by mistyping, or from the search itself.
You can avoid a lot of phishing sites with the following:
    '''Tools > Options > Security'''<br>
''Known attack sites can be blocked here, uses information reported to Firefox and to Google.''<br>
[x] Warn me when sites try to install add-ons<br>
    [x] Block reported attack sites<br>
    [x] Block reported web forgeries
Having a good '''hosts''' file on your system can protect your entire system cross-application and all browsers and all your Firefox profiles against a lot malware. The '''hosts''' file must coded for www.example.com, example.com, anything.example.com -- '''Adblock Plus''' is more generic and can do more with less coding. See links below.

Just so you don't miss important information about Adblock Plus, be aware that it does nothing by itself -- it needs filters. Be sure to install the "EasyList (US)" filter subscription.
In your google search settings (preferences), you can filter adult content, but that is not phishing

It's a scam (phishing) to try to get you to disclose your iCloud credentials.  Apple requests that you forward these to [email protected]

  • I just got an email from Apple, asking me to complete a survey.  If I don't then I'll loose my Apple ID.  I think this is spam/virus/hacker.  Anybody have any info on this?

i just got an email from Apple, asking me to complete a survey.  If I don't then I'll loose my Apple ID.  I think this is spam/virus/hacker.  Anybody have any info on this?

There have been a number of phishing scam emails going around for at least half a year...do not respond, click links, or do anything with that email.  Apple does not operate that way.

I know it is not much money but it is about cheating! Apple opened a platform for innovation or for people rubbing each other?
It should not be allowed that people put a fake app and charge money for it. That is bad busienss practice and damages Apple more than any body else. I only lost 1 dollar but will cost Apple much more since it made an unhappy customer who will say about her bad experience to at least 10 other people.

  • How to report a fake Apple Service provider to Apple

i keep searching the site for a place or a link to report Fake Apple Repairs Center, but cannot find any information about this,
Does someone know an email address were i can send my complain or report theses findings.
    Thank you

Down in the lower right corner is links for sending feedback. I'd just send them feedback and they can forward it to the appropriate department.
You could also call your local better business bureau and turn them in. If it's a matter of false advertising then you may get a faster response alerting local authorities.

  • I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used      to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5s.  I have an iphone 4.  It's asking me to sign in to confirm my details and change my password.  How do I know if this email is genuine?

I've just received an email from 'Apple' saying that my apple id was used to sign into iCloud on an iphone 5S.  I have an iphone 4.  It then asks that I 'click here' to confirm my details and change my password.  How do I tell if the email is genuine?

Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it).

  • Hello i just came back from the apple store and they had to restore my phone and i just downloaded all my apps and music back but my photos that are on icloud i only got 80 out of 768 back. what do i do to get all of them back?

hello i just came back from the apple store and they had to restore my phone and i just downloaded all my apps and music back but my photos that are on icloud i only got 80 out of 768 back. what do i do to get all of them back?

If you tried to restore to your iCloud backup and your photos didn't fully restore, first go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure it isn't still in the process of restoring.
If the restore is complete and all your photos weren't restored, all you can do is try restoring the backup again.  You might try the solution posted by ezjules in this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589.  This involves opening the photos app after the phone restarts and you provide the passwords for your Apple IDs, then leaving it open for the remainder of the restore process.

  • My macbook air does not start up successfully. when i turn on the power, it just turn blue after the apple logo, how to reboot or repair,.. pls help me what is the buttons command... thanks in advance.

pls help me how to reboot my macbook air,.. because starting it up was not successful. the screen just turns blue after the apple logo appeared.

i know loads of people who have had this problem including me.  The Java script update apparently had some virus that has overloaded the start up disk.   I took to apple who said i have to have the machine rebuilt but first i have to go to a data recovery company to get back everything that was on it.  Data recovery company have quoted me nearly £1000.

  • Just rented a movie on apple tv--watched half and wanted to continue watching the rest on my computer but can't find how to do this.

I just rented a movie on Apple Tv--started to watch it on the TV then wanted to continue on my computer (MacAir) but couldn't find a way to do this. Home sharing is enabled. I pulled up the movie in the Itunes store and clicked on 'rent' but I don't want to have to pay the rental fee again.

Rented movies downloaded to an Apple TV can't be transferred to any other device.
