Just a question about Languages.

Hi all!
I've got just a question: I'm italian, but in the italian site there's no updater for my n73.
The problem is that now I don't know if, installing the english one, i'll be able to change the language.
Can you tell me it, pleeeease??

I think I heard somewhere that some software can be
switched to English but some can't, but where can I
find that kind of information?
Basically all Apple software (except OS 9 and AppleWorks) has multiple localizations which always include Japanese and English, and these are easily switched via preferences settings. I think MS and Adobe software often only comes in one language at a time, but you really must check with them, or the outfit selling the software, to find out the situation with a particular app.

Just a question about security

Hi All.
Just a simple question really, I read on one of the forums here a question about running windows and apples mac os at the same time.
My question is: would they not cause conflict, as with apple you don't need to install security but windows is riddled with bugs and virus's surely one would infect the other?
Sorry to sound so silly, I'm not very computer savvy , but it strikes me as wrong somehow.

You will have whatever threats assail Windows and must protect against those, but none of them will cross over to the Mac side. Note: there is cross platform Windows/Mac malware, i.e. malware written for both. But to be infected you need to be infected directly on the Mac side.

In Oracle Linux 6 update 3, a question about Language

Hi, I'm operating Oracle Linux 6 update 3.
I have some question.
After it is booting, We can select various Languages in fisrt login display. So then does it(Oracle Linux 6 update 3 vesrion) support all Languages without installing a Language Packs?

If you know about this, plz...inform this.At least if you select "desktop" during installation, then the answer is yes. But you have to run the ibus program, log out then log in to complete the process. You only need to run it once.

Just 5 questions about the Zen Micro Ph

HiJust 5 Q's about that player which i hope i get clear answers 4 'emcan i buy the charger designed for the original Zen Micro 2 be used with this player? if not, is there an additional charger i can buy ?2) How much time it takes the player 2 charge from the USB port and how much does it take in case of using a charger?3) Can i simply plug the player in my PC's USB and boot up windows XP 2 see the player simply as an additional dri've without the need of any special drivers or programs so that i transfer files between my PC and the player with simple drag and dropping4) Can i transfer non-media files (books - programs...etc) using the same method in question 3 without having 2 set up first a dedicated space on the player 4 receiving such files (<--- This is the way which has 2 be done with the old Zen Micros)5) Any dedicated volume control on it yet or it still misses it like old Zen Micros ?THANKS A LOT

Hi Catherina - thx 4 the reply but yr answer implies that the old Zen Micro can be seen in windows explorer directly as an additonal dri've and this contradicts all the reviews i have read about that in order to transfer non-media files to the player, i have 2 either use the bundled program "Zen Media Explorer" or the firmware itself (in case i am not allowed 2 install software on some computer i wanna transfer files from or to) but i was speaking about plugging the player simply in the USB to be detected by XP, assigned to it a dri've letter and then i can start copying files from/to it right away without any additional extra software installed or anything i must configure on the player itself. IMHO, this is how the MP3 players should behave 4 extra simplicity and ease of use
SUGGESTION: can u plz make video clips showing how 2 use the player in all aspects. I have seen that with the iri'ver players where some people (i am not sure if those people are the guys @ iri'ver themselves or just some fans) have posted numerous video clips showing the iri'ver player in all aspects so the end user like me feel like he is using the player in his hands even if he/she hasn't purchased it yet - something that will be very effecti've on people's decision purchase. This script looks for the language in the NLS_LANGUAGE cookie. It this cookie does not exist then the language defaults to Spanish because of the code is_language_set('es', 'e', 'SPAIN', l_url). Please make sure to delete the NLS_LANGUAGE cookie, if it exists.
Please note that this code will work for 3.0.9. In case you want to implement something similar to this on 3.0.8, the code containing the mobile support has to be removed. You can contact me, should you have any questions.

Just a question about our problem

I know we all want answers, but i do have a question for any techno buffs out there, is it possible that a set of drivers could have been released which gave the MCP incorrect instructions, which may have damaged traces, or the MCP itself. if this is possible could this be the answer, and is this why MSI and nVidia are hiding? I find it very strange that this problem appeared roughly the same time for everyone, and I personally noticed that even if I use the 1.00 drivers now (ones on the MSI CD) I still get BKSOD, even though they did work before we installed version 1.12, i think
any ideas ladies and gentlmen?

Problem started appearing to me in recent times only as I have mostly been playing Earth series games ("Earth 2150: The Moon Project", and "World War III: Black Gold") which only supports software sound rendering.
The game Empire Earth, which I started playing a week ago, really opened my eyes to the problem. Can't play one complete Random map game without the game crashing and locking the Windows XP OS hard. But the stability is much improved with sound hardware acceleration disabled.
But, I'm going to try the latest nForce driver via Windows update anyway as others have suggested. I just don't have time or patience to beta test installation software/drivers for MSI/nVidia. I occupy no special position in the Universe (bad luck doesn't follow me around) nor do I overclock the board. It's rather obvious where the problem lies.

I just have questions about the AirPort Express and how it works.

My household Wi-Fi is not the strongest in my room and I found out about the AirPort Express and I read the overvie, but I still have some questions on how it works, how its setup and other questions as well.

The AirPort Express will not wirelessly extend the signal from another router unless that router is also an Apple product.

Just 2 questions about the iPhone 4

Does anyone know if the video calls are only between you and other iPhone 4 owners? or will something like Skype be available for use with someone using Skype on a computer? i think this feature is cool, just not as cool if its only between iPhone 4 owners.

Just a question about the app store

i have seen the app store on itunes & i have a question on the apps you need to pay for.
(After this 2.0 upgrade problem is resolved)if you buy some apps for the itouch but after trying them, know that you dont like them, is there any way you can get your money back, or at least swap it for an app or the same or lower price.
If this is possible, is there like a time limit (e.g. 15 days) on how long you could keep the app before returning is not possible

I really doubt this would happen, I mean apple doesnt do this service for songs, you cant really ask to take a song back because you dont like it.
But then again there is usually previews for songs on itunes, but most good apps will have a demo app available for you to try before you buy.
I am 100% sure apple wont do any refunding on a app, unless its faulty.

Just a question about 3rd Gen Ipod

I recently bougtht a 3rd Gen Ipod off of ebay. I'm a PC user but it's formated for a MAC. I know I have to reformat it for windows so I can use it. But my question is, is there any way I can somehow get the songs off my I pod to my computer before I inevitually have to erase and reformat it. There is alot of good songs that came with it, I don't want to lose them if I can somehow avoid it.

Just a question about upgrades that has been bothering me

So this has been bothering me for since I switched from Alltel to Verizon on August 14th (I was in one of the areas that was sold to AT&T). So I just signed a 2 year contract with a Palm Pre Plus, but lets say that a year from now I decide that I want a Droid X, would it be possible to extend my 2 year contract for another 2 years and get the regular discounted price too? Or would that even be possible at all to extend the contract?

If you are the primary line on a family share, or an individual line, where the base plan is $49.99 or higher not including the data plan, only the calling plan), you are able to upgrade at the 2-yr contract pricing after fulfilling one year of a 2-year contract. That will extend your contract out for 2 years from the date of upgrade.
Since Verizon is letting you upgrade early, (one year into your two year contract) there is a $20 processing fee on top of the cost of the phone. When you do the early upgrade, you forfeit your New Every Two discount eligibility for two more years.

1) You can always do your own session handling. But why bother when there is one there for you?
2) The issue with sessions is how to identify the user from the request. Each session gets given a session id. The user has to send that session id with every request they make.
The standard way is to use a session cookie, which only lasts as long as the browser session. The cookie with the JSESSIONID is sent with every request, thus the server can identify which session a user is in from their cookie.
Of course you cannot assume that the browser will support cookies, so you need to encode all URLs with the method response.encodeURL(). That method puts the session id into the URL if the browser does not support cookies, or they have them switched off.
