Today's episodes, number 5, is in the Store now, which is actually pretty quick: it's quite usual for updating to take 1-2 days.
Your image is correctly referenced; it can take some days for an image to appear in the Store. If you changed if from a previous image you need to have changed the filename, otherwise the Store (which caches the image) won't know it's changed.

Restored iTunes Library from backup, but Missing Artwork

I had to reinstall iTunes 8. Fortunately, I had a clone of my HDD from just the day before. After the iTunes reinstallation, I replaced the iTunes Library and iTunes Music Library.xml files with my back up versions. Once I opened iTunes it took its time rebuilding the Library with the result being my ratings, play counts, and lyrics all where they were supposed to be. I am happy!
However, while that metadata was good, I noticed that I was missing artwork for a lot of the music files. It so happens that artwork was present in the iTunes Store purchased music, and in the files that had the artwork embedded via drag and drop (i.e., art was part of actual song file). On the other hand, every file that originally had images via Get Album Artwork was not referencing the Album Artwork folder (i.e., art not part of actual song file but referenced .itc files). So, no artwork.
How do I get that artwork back? All the images are still in the Album Artwork folder, restored from my backup, but I cannot find a way to make itunes reference them again! Why does the Library.xml restore all the iTunes-specific information for a track except the artwork?
Why do I not just use the Get Album Artwork feature again, you may be thinking? Because for most of the songs iTunes had the ID3 tag info wrong. After importing the music and matching the track names to iTunes Store to grab the artwork, I modified the ID3 info to more correctly reflect the artist, album, and track names. To rename the files to match iTunes Store, and then name them back to how I like them will take days.
So.. am I out of luck? Is there a way to actually backup iTunes information so that songs keep their references to the .itc files in the Album Artwork folder?

I just got a new phone today the iphone 5c and i plugged it into itunes. i wanted to get all of my data from my iphone 4s but when i synced my phone all of my iphone 3 data was on my new phone how do i get my iphone 4 data on my new phone?
Did you choose the wrong back up? There should be a drop box when you go to "Restore from Back up" in iTunes and your iPhone is plugged in, on the Summary page. Choose the correct back up. If you can't find one, and you still have your device, back up your iPhone 4 again and then choose that back up. Or check for an old iCloud back up if you have one.

Hello. I just got the iPhone 5s today and I did a restore from icloud to it but none of my apps transferred. I checked on my computer and only Facebook and candy crush show up. How can I get them back?
Try restoring the backup again. Your apps and other purchased media should have been restored from your backup if they were on your old phone when you backed it up.

I have downloaded missing artwork, using Google images, into i-tunes. I expected this to be automatically transferred to my i-phone when I connected it but nothing happened, How can I transfer the artwork into my i-phone?
Try a reset ..
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset. -
I just purchased the newest episode of a tv show and I selected the correct episode, but it downloaded an older episode under the new title. I don't want that one what should I do?
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the mislabelled item. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -

Missing Artwork tab in Get Info?
Recently I've noticed more and more files that don't have the Artwork tab when you go into the info. I like keeping everything organized with DVD artwork, but I can't figure out why it's just some files and not others. If I select multiple files, I can set the artwork that way, so my workaround is to set the artwork on the problem file along with one that does have the artwork tab, then I go back into the "good" one and use Get Info to set that one back to its actual artwork.
Any ideas?Solution
1) remove the Cache, Download, and Local directories in c:/My Documents/My Music/iTunes/Album Artwork/ then restart iTunes.
2)Next allow iTunes to load all the artwork from the songs in your library.
3)Fix any with missing artwork if you so desire
4)Turn off artwork in music tab, sync, turn on artwork, sync (optimizes album artwork for all songs) -
Playlist of songs missing artwork
Not sure how to word this correctly, but is there anyway of making a playlist of songs that have missing artwork? I don't want a program that will find them and automatically add it from amazon or iTunes, but would just like a list of what songs are missing the artwork, then be able to put it in on my own. I know there is a program that used to do this - but new computer and forgot what the program was called... Any help would be greatly appreciated - [email protected]
Well, I am not sure if there's a way to only view the songs that are on your ipod inside iTunes but, I know that if you bought them on the iPod that iTunes creates a playlist of only songs that you bought on that device. Another thing you can do, is command click on each song that you want to add to a play list and it will drag all the selected songs into that play list, then, what you can do is, go to File, Library, Export Play List, and select the play list that has only the songs you want. It should give you a .xml file, which you can then store on an external hard drive. Later, if you need to add that play list, you can go to File, Library, Import Play List, and select the play list you made. Hope that helps.
Ps. Command clicking on files, allows you to select more than one at a time. And Shift click allows you to select all the files under or above a certain file, up to a certain point. Like if you have, files 1-5, you can Shift click on file 1 and file 5 and it will select files 1-5 for you.

Missing artwork, artwork not modifiable
After I subscribed to iTunes Match last night, many of my albums were missing artwork. I was going to just drag new artwork in, but the box says "artwork not modifiable". Any suggestions?

I was just having this problem until today. It is now all sorted and I can explain what to do very simply and easily.
I remembered the answers to my questions, I just forgot "EXACTLY" how I entered the text - so I had to have them reset. The easiest way is to sign in through www.appleid.com. Then on the right click the "Manage your Account" link and sign in. Easy so far right. Then, as others have said, look on the left of the screen you will see a link called "Password and Security" - click on this. Now this is where the confusion begins. Some people have a link located directly under the existing questions that looks like this "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to blah blah blah email . If you see this click it and it will send an email to the "Rescue Email" address that you entered when you originally entered your answers. Follow the instructions contained in this email and you are done. If you cannot remember this email address or you have since closed it, you will need to go to the Itunes Express lane and send an email to Apple requesting them to reset your answers.
HOWEVER IF YOU DO NOT SEE A THIS LINK UNDER THE QUESTIONS - this means that you DID NOT enter a Rescue email address when you originally set your questions. The only way you can now reset your Security Questions and Answers is to go to the Itunes Express lane and email Apple asking to have these reset. I have 2 apple accounts, one for myself and one for my daughter - as I did not include a rescue email I had to email apple. On both occasions, these questions were reset and an email sent to me exactly 24 hours after I sent them the request. I entered the new details, WROTE THEM DOWN EXACTLY AS I ENTERED THEM THIS TIME, entered a Rescue Email this time and I am good to go again. Simple. Now when I log in and click on "Password and Security" I do have the reset link visable. Apple support are good, they just take a bit of time to get things done, but they always seem to get there in the end. I just wish someone had taken the time to explain this somewhere else in the forum as it would have saved me much time and angst.
To get to the Itunes Express Lane go to this website www.appleid.com make sure the correct country is displayed top right, if not change it. Once this is saved go to the tabs at the top of the screen and click Support. Then halfway down the next page you will see a photo of two random people with a title of Contact Apple Support - Click this. Scroll down until you see the itunes logo, to the right of this you will see the link Express Lane for iTunes Player and iTunes Store - click on this. One the right hand side of the next page click on the link "itunes Store". On the next page click the link "Account Management" check the radio button beside "itunes store account security", select your country from the drop down box and click "Continue". Under the heading MORE OPTIONS, you will see a clickable link called email - click this. Fill in your name, Apple ID and country. Then in the text box, write "I have forgotten the answers to my Security questions, would you kindly please reset them. Thank-You". Then Click Continue, you will be given a reference number and an email is sent to your address advising that generally someone will attend to your request within 24 hours. Like I said previously, I had to do this twice and both times it was reset however it was done within about 5 minutes of the 24 hour cut off, so you will have to be patient. I know 100% that this works for Australia - I am guessing other countries should be similar. Hope this helps someone somewhere!Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.
