Just bought 2nd hand ipod touch 2nd generation and i cant seem to get the wifi to connect as its greyed out
i just bought this ipod touch 2nd generation and te wifi is greyed out ive tried resetting and looking for airplane mode but its not there any help please????

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.

I got all my music from iTunes and when I play a track it doesn't play. I just got this new iPod so why isn't it playing my music
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync/delete music from iPod and resync
- Reset all settings

i just got a 4th generation ipod touch about a month ago and turned it on a week ago & now its totally frozen it started by the music and itunes freezing then the apps now theres an apple on the screen =((

If there is an Apple on your screen, that means you have reset your iPod and are turning it back on. Have you reset your iPod? If not, try here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430.

I have tried connecting it to the computer and that doesn't seem to work either. At this point I do not know what else to do. Can anyone help me get this Ipod touch fixed?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i have an ipod touch 3rd gen , it is currently running ios 4.2 and i am trying to upgrade to a newer version, when i do a software update it doesnt show me any updates???
You appear to have a second generation iPod touch, which can't be updated past 4.2.1.

I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and the latest iOS update (4.3.3) isnt installing
It says the software version is 4.2.1 amd that it's downloaded the iOS 4.3.3 version, but when I hit the update button it does the "extracting" bit and then when it gets to the "verifying update with Apple" it says
The iPod "Tanuj's iPod" could not be updated. An unknown error occured (3194)
I looked up that error and it said that that meant that my iTunes wasnt up to date. I checked, but it actually was up to date, but I re-installed the whole thing just to be sure, but it's still not updating.Yep, it say iTunes 10.3.1.55
I tried searching for 3194, and someone pointed to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error3194 and that says:
Error 3194: Resolve error 3194 by updating to the latest version of iTunes. "This device is not eligible for the requested build" in the updater logs confirms this is the root of the issue. For more Error 3194 steps see: This device is not eligible for the requested build above.
I'm sure I have the latest version of iTunes, but what's an updater log? -
I'm not sure if I have to turn in on somewhere in settings or is it simply broken.

I just bought a new ipod touch(32 gig). How do I transfer my songs and apps from my old touch to my new one.When I plugged in my new one it cleared all my song and apps out of my current itunes. Now all I have is the stuff on my old ipod. when i hook it up will it be gone too?

Are you sure of that? Check in the Library. Click on the Apps icon to see all apps. Similarly click on the Music icon to see the songs. -
i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos.
