Just bought 3 ipads at the flea market over the weekend. all 3 were in unopened boxes. 2 of the ipads synced just fine and are working great. the 3rd however says it is linked to an email already. does this mean it is stolen or what
just bought 3 ipads for the family over the weekend at the flea market. they were all in closed sealed boxes. 2 ipads synced just fine and are working great. the 3rd however is being an issue. it says that it is already linked to an email. does that mean it is stolen? all material and serial nu,bers match up everywhere. was wondering if this could be fixed by me, apple store, or should i be a good samaritian and turn it over to the police with the receipt and where and who i bought it from?
Or it could simply have been sold by someone that didn't know enough to wipe it.
You could check with the police, see if they have it listed as stolen.
If you can get into the settings of that ipad you can 'erase all content and settings' and start fresh.

2. I then sycnched the iPhone4 to get a new backup of the old Phone.
I then installed my new iPhone5 from the fresh backup of the old iPhone4
This way i got my new iPhone5 exactly as my old iPhone4
Screens all looked the same, EVERYTHING the same.
Some minor adjustments were needed afterwards.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.

However, if locked with a passcode, I suspect you purchased a stolen phone. If this phone is running iOS 7.0 or higher, you will never be able to use it for anything other than as a paperweight...you wasted your money. -

You should still be able to sync you iPod. Your iPod just can be updated past iOS 4.2.1.
Assuming you have a PC, start her to get your computer to see the iPod.

What iOS is curently on your iPod (Setting>Genral>About>Version) you need as lest 2.0 for apps but most apps need 3.0 or later. -
This may seem like a silly question. But, I see on the insert that it says license is only good for 1 PC use. I am SO upset that my computer crashed, and thinking about wasting $128 makes that even more upsetting.
I'm not sure what "insert" you are talking about, but as said above a perpetual license is good for installation on two computers. If the old computer is still functional, you can either uninstall LR5 from it or consider a new computer as the second installation. If the old computer is not functional and will never be used again, then LR is not functional and this is equivalent to its having been uninstalled.

That's very stange, MomRev. We need to get this figured out. Did you sync any new email accounts with your phone? Do you know who's contacts they are? Did this person use your device? Please provide me with a few more details.

When I create an iCloud email account, does this mean that my header changes everytime I send an e-mail? I have always used AOL and that is my normal email address but I've sent several emails to people who don't seem to be getting them(or, perhaps, their spam filters are putting them in the "junk box" and when they look for my aol header, they are'nt seeing it) I've been wondering if that could be my problem?
If you are using iCloud email it would be sent from your @icloud.com (@mac.com or @me.com) email address, not your AOL address, and the headers would reflect this. If you want to send from your AOL account you would need to select that as your default account in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Mail section).

Go ahead and sync. You have plenty of battery to get that done.
USB pours do not provide enough power to charge an iPad efficiently. Once you finish your sync go ahead and use your iPad. Put it on the charger that came with it later. -
I just bought a t.v series but didnt downloading them all jut the first episode. But I have now tried to download the other episodes and a message comes up "This computer is already associated with an apple ID. If you download past purchases with your apple ID you cannot auto download or download past purchases with a different apple id for 90 days." but I havn't downloaded them before and the apple ID I have signed in with is my own?? You should change your AppleID password NOW. And if it says it was registered under another AppleID, the thief has probably done it.
