Just bought a 4s. I accidentally programmed my apple ID (email) address wrong
I thought I had this fixed with Apple tech support, but it still calls up the old incorrect address (my fingers missed a key and I didn't notice when first setting up). I was trying to activate iCloud. How do I put in the right "Apple ID" address?
Setting -app store - view account - log out and log back in with the correct email address.

3. took off the "duck" plug and used the macbook pro cord that was provided
4. checked and cleaned the pins on the magsafe

. I've just bought a new iPhone 6 in miami apple store as a unlocked phone. But now it shows the message that my phone is locked and I can't use my russian sim card. What I need to do to unlock it?
The device is locked to Verizon wireless not a Russian cell provider.
You can use Verizon here in the states. Get a Verizon Sim.
In out of the country use, pop in that Sim and it should work. However Verizon does not unlock for use in the USA.
And you must be a Verizon customer to get it unlocked to use in other countries. Apple claims it will work in other countries.

I have accidentally deleted my alternate iCloud (email) address. Are there any possibilities to retrieve it back because my iPad is connected to that email address, and now, I can't log out from it on my iPad, because it doesn't exist.
I have alternate icloud email attached to my iPad and I accidentally delete it from appleid.apple.com. And now I can't log out that iCloud account because it doesn't exist and it can't recognize my password.If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Hi. I tried switching my Apple ID email address to my new email address and I don't know how to switch it for iCloud and iTunes. Please help!! It seems like Apple thinks I have two separate accounts, when I just tried to simply change it!

Accidentally spelt iCloud email address wrong!!!
i gave my iPhone 4 to my partner and when we were setting up the iCloud id we accidentally spelt the email address wrong. I've tried to delete the account when i do that at the end it says "this device is no longer eligible for a free iCloud ID" if i reset the phone will it erase that information?
You can't move an @icloud.com address to another account. What you can do is add her account to your device as a secondary account by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud, sign in with her ID and turn Mail on in this account. This will allow you to continue to access the existing address on your device. The only limitation of this is that email in this account will only be fetched periodically as push mail is not supported in secondary accounts.

i just bought an ipad and while attempting to use my apple id in itunes i am asked for an itunes gift code which i have no knowledge of how i can get that code............... please someone help me out
The gift code field is an optional field, it's an alternative to credit cards for paying for content from iTunes. Gift cards are not available in all countries (so you may not be able to fill it in anyway), and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue) - if you are in a country where they are available then you might be able to buy them from Apple stores, supermarkets, electrical stores etc.

I just bought a new "Time Capsule" 2TB. Apple says it is "Server Grade". What does this mean?
I just bought a new 2 TB "Time Capsule". I read somewhere recently that Apple claims this unit has a "server grade" drive. I am reading here that the Time Capsule appears to have many failures.
I am asking today if the failure rate amongst users here is about typical for a large external drive or....and is the drive contained in this unit just another 2TB drive made by anycompany?The original TC came with a Seagate 500GB ES drive. that was the seagate server series and were a better drive.. i dare say other than the dead power supply many of those drives will still be working fine. It is mean time between failures that is the measure of server grade. Since that time MTBF numbers quoted by drive manufacturers all exceed the value that was in 2008 deemed server quality.. so they will claim server grade. Although all the drives used today are pedestrian domestic cheap ones.
But do not think the drives don't die.. they do..And new bigger drives means more data lost in one hit than ever before. I have seen a spate of WD dead drives.. both black from Gen2 1TB and green lately.. one on the bench today is a Gen4 with 2TB WD20EARS that corrupted the data partition of the drive. Getting data back is expensive and time consuming.. to say nothing of uncertain, having spent all the money that the recovered files are of any use.
Be paranoid... like Bob!! Keep a backup and another backup of all the stuff that you deem important. Remember in the past you had your photo album on film strips and printed in books. Now they are electronic digital format.. and a wave of the emf wand and they all disappear.. !! -

Exactly what is says. Basically each song has an attribute/piece of metadata, that holds the track's location on your computer. If it can't find it there, it puts a small explanation point next to it in iTunes.
This script may be able to help. You are going to need to search for these tracks and either place them in the proper location already specified in iTunes or re-import them and delete the missing entry.

is 1GB. Your Solid State Drive is 256GB, or add many zeros to the MB figure.
The SSD or an HDD is storage, also where your OS X & apps live. Spare SSD
capacity could be used by the OS X as Virtual Memory. Another related topic.
You may need to acquire and use an external drive via Thunderbolt for storage
and that may be best if also an SSD since they are faster than hard disk drives
so may not lag too much with when accessed by Thunderbolt cable by the OS X.
Not sure if you understand the specifications and how they pertain to the Mac.

Just bought 2 "iPod to Firewire cables" from Apple store...
For my iPod Video 60GB. Am I to assume that even though Apple makes and sells iPod to firewire cables, that they don't work???? What's going on here?
A dock connector to firewire cable will only charge your 5G Video iPod.
You cannot do data transfers with it. You must use the included dock to USB connector. Hopefully you have a newer computer with USB 2.0 My 2 macs are both a few years old and only have USB 1.0 and syncing lots of stuff takes forever.
There will be no firmware update to fix this as they did not install a firewire chipset in the 5G ipod (rumoured to make it smaller)
So I'd return your ipod to firewire cables as you can only charge with them.
