Just bought a Mega180... TV Output problems!
I just bought a Mea180, with the main intention of outputting to my TV and using as a PVR. I Put everything in, (My first ever computer assembled!) and to my amazement everything boots up, I installed windows fine, no problems at all :-)
EXCEPT: (!) The output on my TV is Black & White. I've tried changing TV's incase mine was on the blink, but still nothing. Tried changing the leads, going in through the line-in on a video through to my TV. Still B&W. Any Advice?
When I brought it down to sit next to my office PC and transfer files onto it etc, I found it won't output to a monitor? It loads the first (MSI) screen, then the windows screen, but then that turns off and my monitor says "Check connection" Any ideas?

You were right! I've got a new TV that has a particular input for S-Video, and everything works 100% perfectly. Nice crisp picture, not even jittery as I expected!
My new TV has Quite a funny story -
After reading your suggestions that my TV needs an S-video option, I bidded for and won a 28" widescreen telly on EBay. Info said "Faulty- TV has no signs of life"
OK I thought, if I buy it for £30 and it costs £100 to fix, it's still a cheap TV...
I travel for about 2hrs each way to get the thing, get home and the first thing I check is the plug...
blown fuse!
One changed fuse later and I now have a 28" widescreen TV for the grand total of £28 and £15 in fuel!! ) How mental is that! Chuffed to bits. What were the chances!
Apparently the place I got it from take TVs off Baliffs and also Dixons when customers bring them back under warrantee! Everyone must have assumed the last person would have checked something as obvious as the fuse!

I have just bought iphone 5 and i have a problem in charging it , firstly it took a long time to charge when i opened it to the first time , and its nearly dont charge on 110 output, and its taking a long time to charge on 220 reaches 50% in 1 hour is this normal?
The charger block is universal and is able to handle multiple votages. One hour to reach 50% seems fine to me if the phone was completely flat to start with. Just leave it on charge for as long as it takes to reach 100%. I leave mine connected overnight all the time and it does not harm the battery

HI, I just bought Photoshop CS5 and I have a problem with HDR pro . when I am trying to mount 3 images together it act in a strange way ( the images appear and disappear many times) then when the window with the result appear and I say ok it open up in photoshop as a single image ( in the layers there is just 1 photo) and when I am trying to work it up with the Plug in/filter HDR Effex Pro (Nik softwear) a pop up window appear saying that the file is missing and the operation it is not possible. Why and what is happening ? Someone can help me ?
This is normal operation. The output from HDR pro does not produce a layered file. You make all your adjustments in the Nik Plug-in. Once Nik has finished you then make any rinal changes in Photoshop. Trying to use NIK again on the image in Photoshop is not the way to do this.
When HDR pro comes up do you see all the presets and controls? Presets on the left and controls on the right

just bought a new toshiba laptop installed itunes it worked at first now wont play music or movies.
ran troubleshooter said its a compatabilty problem suggested turning off itunes compatability or selecting windows service pack 3 tried both no help

Need help please I just bought this iPad today and I factory reset it and then I plugged into my laptop and downloaded the latest software I went and purchased a app store card and a iTunes card but when I try to download apps it won't let me if anyone can help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. try general>settings>reset>reset all settings and start up as an new phone.

Problems setting up my TC. Have just bought new iMac(OS 10.6.8) and TC. I tried to set it up. iMac cannot find it. I have tried direct connection with an ethernet cable to Mac or direct to my wireless router but nothing. Just a flashing orange light. Help for a simpleton please. Have tried reseting TC, but to no avail.
Just updated from 10.6.7 ---> 10.6.8 and had the same issue. Despite having done a clean install from 10.6 and got everything back off my TC, now Time Machine can't find it!
Green light is on, ethernet cable conected, network CP says its conected but nothing. Airport Utility can't find it. Hit reset button, Orange flashing light but still no show in Airport Utility.
But I know its there, as rebooting from 10.6 SL disk shows the backups are still ok?

I just bought a new MacBook Pro. I managed to transfer everything from my older MacBook Pro to the new one. Both use Snow Leopard, the latest update.
My new one has the newest trackpad, the old one, no.
I'm have big problems using Text Edit on the new laptop--the curser does not go where I want it to go for editing, I cannot get the text to be a clear or as large
as with the older Laptop. Similarly, I cannot find a way to enlarge the menu bar. But the text edit is my biggest problem right now. I have reviewed all the preferences, particularly those in Universal Access, to no avail.
I finally gave up, used dropbox to send the text edit document to my old laptop, and continued with ease. But this is not the way it should work. I bought the
new laptop because the old one is showing signs of age.....

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.) -
mba sound: just bought my first mba and I have been using it in my house no problem...took it to my empty office today and I can hear a small vibration/sound coming from the upper left part of the keyboard...constant and rhythmical...ideas?

It's likely your fan, It always runs on a MBA. Mine is very quiet, others report some noise - here is one link. There are lots of others.

Resolved!
After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

You are right, Adobe does not support CS5 because it is no longer sold.
Simply download the trial version of CS5 from this Adobe web site and input your serial number.

Problem with HP Officejet 8620 (just bought it) not sure if Printer or wireless issue.
Alright so hopefully I have put this in the right forum.
I just bought an HP Officejet 8620, and set it up. It printed the test pages fine yet upon trying to print homework it would dissapear in the Print Queue while saying it was "printing". Thus nothing has come out of the printer except test pages so I am in a bit of a bind.
Now the computer brought up a trouble shoot issue stating "problem with wireless network".
To give some back ground on this issue our previous printer HP Officejet 6500A about a month ago starting printing abnormally slow, and eventually reached a crawl not doing anything.
So im not totally lost, yet as of now do not know what is going on.Hello Libertine74,
Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some connectivity issues when attempting to print wireless.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I have also located a document that deals with when the Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.

Wipe iPhone/iPad/iPod touch clean
There are a few steps to do:
Switch off iMessage in Settings > Messages
Switch off FaceTime in Settings > FaceTime (iPod touch 4th Generation or later, iPhone 4 or later and iPad 2 or later)
Delete iCloud in Settings > iCloud > Delete Account
Finally Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Un-register your device: https://supportprofile.apple.com
Now you can sell/give.
Now, you should get her a new Apple ID to sign in the options above.
