Just bought a nano and want to download some of my iTunes library. The "Music" button shows almost all my selections but some albums are missing, yet ONLY those albums appear on the nano icon on my desktop after being dragged there but none of the others. What's happening?
I've read some of the post here that I thought might help but they refer to titles (Music) and triangles in the "Devices" window which are nowhere to be seen when I open the "Devices" window.
I have iTunes 11.0.3 and Mac OS 10.6.8. Does this make a difference?

I should mention that, for the first problem, I do make sure that my new tracks are stored in the folder where I told iTunes that my music is in. Also, when I say the cataloging of my library stops short of cataloging all my songs, I have tried leaving the computer unattended for days (my computer's sleep mode is disabled). It always stops before cataloging all of my music regardless of whether I am doing something else while iTunes is cataloging, or if I just let iTunes be the only program that's open during the cataloging process.

Not sure if that same Application is designed for Mac Os x, Search for Applications on App Store instead of iTunes on your Macbook Pro, as Applications available on iTunes Store on a Macbook is designed to work only on iOS Device like iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and whatever is available on App Store on Mac is designed for Mac Os x.

Did you buy the boxed version or a download? If the boxed version, just get out the mac disc and install it. If you have the download, contact adobe sales about doing a crossgrade.
(I know you specified you want to download it to your mac, but since many people who come here use "download" as a synonym for "install", that's why I asked. Download serial numbers are platform specific, boxed serial numbers can be used on either platform or both. If you want to keep using a download in windows AND on a mac, you will need to buy it again, due to adobe's incomprehensible policies about these things.)

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If she creates her own iTunes account she can't use any protected content purchased under another account. She can play unprotected content synced from an iTunes library on a computer, but she can only download content from the cloud that is purchased under her account.
It's a pain I know, but the longer you put off the move, the worse the situation will become.

You can't transfer any content from one account to another account (nor can accounts be merged) - all content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
Do you not have copies of all of your downloads e.g. on your computer or backup of your downloads/library ? Whilst you are in Australia you can't redownload your UK purchases (you have to be in a country to use its store), if you have them on your computer's iTunes library then you should be able to stream them from it to your Apple TV

Following the thread in the discussions, I found this:
- Edit > Preferences > Advanced, and uncheck "Keep iTunes Media Folder organized" and uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Media Folder"
- Exit iTunes
- Restart iTunes
- Click to play a file that is in its new location
- Locate it, click OK
- It should eventually if not right away go look for other files when you confirm to find other files
- Recheck the boxes unchecked above.
That solved the problem.

I have tried just copying my iTunes folder across to my new iMac, but it doesn't recognise all of the music (but it does recognise some?). Copy the entire /My Music/iTunes/ folder from your PC to /Music/ on your Mac.

I have just bought an iMac and want to move my iTunes library over from a PC.

Unfortunately all my CDs have been ripped as WAV files for maximum quality, so all the metadata is in the iTunes library file. I can get the wav files copied over easily enough, but the Mac won't read the iTunes library xml file for some reason. Any suggestions before I start ripping everything again?

Why is it when I want to download a song on itunes from a different computer it erases all of my other songs?

Okay, so when I got my Iphone I went to go put music on it from my desktop. I finally got all of the music I wanted off of the desktop on to my Iphone. Then when I went to download a song that I had just bought from Itunes a little pop up came on the screen asking to erase my music that I had on my phone currently to download this one song. Well I had to so I could download the song onto my phone. So, after I had got the song downloaded I went back over to my desktop to redownload all of the other songs onto my phone. My question is, How are you supposed to download songs off of one computer with out erasing all of the other songs on your phone? I would really like to know because I want to download more songs onto my phone from my dad's desktop and I don't want to go through the hassle of having to redownload those of the songs all over again and risk losing all of the songs I will possibly have on my phone later.

Lightroom serial numbers are multi-platform: they work on both Mac and Windows.
Photoshop serial numbers are platform specific: Mac only or Windows only.
Obtain a Mac serial number using this process (available for CS6 only, not earlier versions)
Order product | Platform, language swap
Then obtain the CS6 Mac installer from Download CS6 products
Install then enter your new Mac serial number when prompted.

Can someone help me understand how to get photoshop on my computer. I purchased The creative cloud as a student and it says it comes with Lightroom and Photoshop but when I try to download Photoshop it only lets me try it.
