Just Bought A New Iphone. Should I....

Even bother updating to the current 4.0.2 patch or leave it the way it is? so far its working great minus the stupid antenna issue. So the question is, should i risk updating and messing up the proximity sensor and what not.

I have had an iphone and been on these forums from the very first release of the original iphone.
Every single update, without exception including 4.0, and 4.0.1 have a lot of complaints on this forum.
I, nor anyone I personally know, has ever had a single issue with an update.
