Just bought a new phone, and now I'm trying to activate it.

Hi,
Just got my new Blackberry in the mail, my old one is completely dead and I have all it's info backed up but not synced on my computer. Every time I call *228 I go through the activation process until it asks me for my password, which is when I try talking to CS. I get a busy signal and the call ends. So how do I activate my new phone/ put all my contacts on my new phone from the restore file I have for the old one?
Thanks

Do you not know the billing password? It's a 4 digit code that you set at some point when setting up accounts - it may be the last 4 of your SSN - you can try activating the phone online through your MyVerizon account.
Or you can call CS from a landline or other phone (800-922-0204) and see if they can activate it using the ESN inside the phone.
Once the phone is activated, you should be able to use your backups to get your new phone in working order.
