Just bought Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I cannot retrieve the serial number from your broken system.  It will not accecpt the retarded redemtion code from the box.  How can I get what I paid for?

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to the 12.1 Update? If not, please do so using an opened project's Help Menu/Update.
    The latest version of QuickTime is a requirement for Premiere Elements. Among other things, without it you will not have QuickTime export presets when you get to the Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime exports. So, please download and install latest version of QuickTime to computer with Premiere Elements 12/12.1. QuickTime like Premiere Elements requires that it be run with you as Administrator. Is your User Account one with Administrative Privileges?

  • Just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Crashes upon opening a new Project

    I've just installed Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10 on one of our marketing user's PC, and while Photoshop works like a charm, Premiere Elements 10 crashes every time you try to create a new project.  I have done a total uninstall and reinstall, but get the same results.  Here is the crash report generated by Windows (7 Pro x64)

    I had read about the fingerprint problem in the forums and deactivated that before my first post.
    I am reasonably proficient with CS6 web/design, but I don't have a lot of tech knowledge.
    While working today, I had trouble with Acrobat X and had to uninstall/reinstall.  I have done more restarts in the last 36 hours!
    I uninstalled/reinstalled PrE ... in case something that I had done had helped!  Organizer opens but not PrE.
    I will put the EventViewer stuff at the end of the post.  I didn't know there was an EventViewer until today!
    It says something about PCI bus.  I went to control panel, etc., devices and there were two instances of PCI bus.  I asked Windows to update the driver for both and got a message that it had the most up to date driver.  Also indicated they were working properly.  When I sent the link at the bottom of the EventViewer info to Windows, I got a screen saying it was an unknown error.
    I bought PrE on Saturday ... to replace NERO.  I thought it would be more consistent with the other programs I use, but maybe I should cut my losses and go back to NERO???  What do you think?

    The serial number is not on the box.

    Serial numbers are never on the box;  They are normally inside the box for security reasons and they should be on the CD sleeve as shown in this picture:
    Some big stores in the States normally insert a leaflet inside the box with a Redemption Code on it as shown in this picture:

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 12 will launch and then vanish

    Okay so just bought Adobe Premiere Elements 12. Loaded it up and went to run it. First time I ran it I get the Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Launch pad, you know where you select the Organizer or the video editor. I select video editor, it gives me a sub menu asking if I'm opening an existing Project or a new project. I select new project. the Video editor opens and I get a pop up windows stating "Please Log-in with an Admin account to access Adobe premiere Elements." I hit 'ok' and the video editor promptly vanishes leaving me at the launch pad which I close. I go to the short cut, right click on it and select "run as administrator." and I re-launch the program. Back to launch pad, select video editor, select new project. The video editor loads and appears to be working for about 3 seconds and then it vanishes. No error window, no crash report nothing. Just 'pop' it's gone.
    Any idea what I can do about this? I'd really like to use the software I just bought.
    Compute specs:
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
    -updated system drives yesterday
    Prossessor: AMD Phenom 2 X6
    8Gb ram
    NVidia GeForce GTX 460 4GB card
    -Drivers updated yesterday
    Primary drive is a solid state 128gb
    2 secondary SATA drives at 1TB each
    Premiere Elements is loaded on the 1st of the 2 secondary drives.

    Please confirm...
    a. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges as well as the Run As Administrator from the right click of the program's desktop icon?
    - I am running it from an admin level account.
    b. Did you install the program to the default drive C location...you mention "Premiere Elements is loaded on the 1st of the 2 secondary drives", but is it the drive designated C?
    - No. all I have on my primary drive (C:\) is windows, drivers and scratch disk. All my programs outside of windows are loaded on the drive designated J:\
    c. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements?
    - I did not before, but I just updated it before responding here. No effect.
    d. Does your computer use just that NVIDIA video card/graphics care? Is there a second card displayed in Device Manager/Display Adapters?
    - the NVIDA GeForce GTX 460 is my only video adapter.
    e. Does the problem exist with and without antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    - Yes. I shut off Kaspersky and tried running the program via the launch pad. no change.
    You say that the crashes occur when you select Video and new project. What happens if you select Organizer instead? Still crash?
    - If I go into Organizer the system seems to run fine. I loaded Organizer about 20 minutes ago and it's still up and running just fine. But in that same time span I've tried to launch premier elements several times. It still crashes after a few seconds.
    New data though. Can't tell if it's from Premier, or something else. a couple minutes after the latest attempt to run Premiere Elements I found a new window with the header "CAHeadless Debug Event". The Window reads:
    CAHeadless has encounter an error.
    [..\..\Src\Sequence\Sequence.cpp-2233]
    and then I have a button that reads "Continue".

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 10 not working on both my Computer

    I just bought Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to use with my Sony Handycam HDR-XR160 but it just dont work
    I first try to install on my PC: Intel Quad Q6600 with 8 Gig of Ram and a 500 Go WD Black Edition and a GeForce 9800 GT with 1 Gig of Video Memory .... really jerky video editing interface and the play back is really bad a lot of pixellization all over and also really realy jerky
    then I tried with My Mac Pro 2008 2XQuad Core Xeon 10 Gig of Ram 2 x 1TB WD Black Edition (Scratch Folder on second HD) and a ATI  Radeon HD 3870 same problem but now the video play back just stop every 5 seconde it s also hard just to drag the video in the time line at the botom of the screen
    This is computer I use for My Recording Studio and it's working like a DREAM. I did the same manipulation with other program like IMovie and so on with NO PROBLEM AT ALL .... and the interface was responsive unlike Premiere
    I bought your programe thinking I was going for a upgrade from what I was using before and now I can't take it back cause the box is open so please tell me you have a fix or someting cause at the moment ...  i'm really not to impress

    I just bought adobe premiere elements 13. I hoped that it would help to open an avi on my brand new Mac, which iMovie of course did not open. (That's why I spend the money on premiere!) I got the file from a disc, and I don't know what kind of camera took the pictures. Premiere 13 should open AVI's. What is wrong?

    Premiere Elements 13 Mac should be an .avi import only. But, avi is just a file extension (container/wrapper format), which wraps the video and audio compressions of the file.
    Although the program might support a particular video compression and a particular file extension (container/wrapper format), it may not support the combination of a particular combination of video compression with file extension for a file.
    What are the properties (video compression et al) of your video file with the file extension of .avi?

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 11 does not open

    Hello,
    I just bought adobe photo elements 11 and premiere 11. I already had a trial version from Photo Elements11. With the code I could activate the whole program so this succeeded.
    However, I tried to install Adobe Premiere elements 11 (several times) I installed and de-installed and re-installed a couple of times but with no success. During the installation process it does go through the whole installing procedure and everything seemed ok; the icon appears on my desktop but when I try to click to open it, it doesn't open..(it's not doing anything at all, you see the mouse turning into that "swirl circle" very briefly then it stops and nothing opens)
    I also tried to download the trial version and hoped with the code I could open it, but nothing happen there either.
    Hope you can help me out. I also didn;t receive any error messages.
    I have a Intel Core i5-2430M - 2,4 Ghz, Windows7.

    Could be the auxilairy processes failing to initialize. Perhaps the event viewer can provide some clues:
    Working with your Operating System’s Tools
    Could also be an issue with teh activation stuff, so try running Help --> Deactivate in PSE, then launch PRE to bring up the activation dialog....

  • Having trouble re-installing adobe Premiere elements

    So I got my first new computer in six years, and bought adobe premiere elements 13. I signed up for adobe, got it all sorted and then my brand new computer blue screened. I got it wiped and exchanged at best buy, but now I can't re-install it! I have the instillation code, but I am always told that it is invalid despite triple checking and trying across multiple days; so I can't get a serial number. Additionally the product does not show up in my account for some reason. I was also told that I can install each product on two computers... This was bought brand new in plastic wrap at best buy, and only ever transferred onto my one, broken computer, so why is it already maxed out?
    And if I have this many problems so soon, I am definitely not paying premium for phone support! So do I even have options, or did I just waste $80?

    If you bought the software at Best Buy then the chances are you received a redemption code with it rather than a serial number.  That redemption code is used once (only once) to acquire the serial number for your software.  If you had the software installed and activated on the original machine before it blue-screened then the serial number you used for that is the serial number you need... it is tied to your license for its lifetime.  If you did not deactivate the original installation due to not being able to, then there is at least one activation that is sitting in limbo.  You need to contact Adobe Support thru chat or phone to get the activations reset to regain it.  If you did not register your product with Adobe then it is not likely to be listed under your account.
    You can always try contacting Best Buy to see if they can provide a new redemption code.

    I just purchased Adobe premiere elements 12. when I tried to install it on my Mac, when the installer requested to enter serial number I was surprised that it requires 24 digits serial number while on the back of the DVD I bought there is 24 digits only in the serial number ???

    Did you purchase Premiere Elements 12 in the box packaging so that  you have an installation disc?
    If so, there should be a medium size portrait oriented rectangular box with Adobe graphics. Inside that box is
    a white box with the same shape as the outside box with the Adobe graphics. On the bottom of this second
    white box, you should see a label with the Premiere Elements Serial number xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
    Right now I am not seeing anywhere that you could detoured to get an 18 digit code. It is my under standing that
    even a Redemption Code has 24 digits.

  • Wheres the Adobe Premiere Elements 10 icon?

    I just bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 with Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and I have a new HP Pavillion g6, Windows 7, i5 core, 2.4 processor.
    The package did not have any clear instructions for installing these programs but the discs said for MAC or Windows.   2 of the disc said to START with disc 2 for Windows 7. 
    OK I did that,  then I went to disc 3,  then disc 4.  Disc 1 and 5 were marked MAC and did not work.  I tried them just in case.  Remember there were no clear instructions.
    I got the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 icon on my start screen.
    My questions are:        Where is the icon for Adobe Premiere Elements 10?
                                         Was I suppose to go in some particular order? 
                                         Should I have tried to install disc 1 and 5, because I tried them and they did not work?
                                         Disc 4 said installation was successful for Adobe Premiere Elements 10, but I could not find it in my programs?
                                         Is it now part of and incorporated into Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and does not need a separate icon?

    I just downloaded Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and bought a license for Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12. With the serial number I could change the test version of Photoshop elements, which I already installed, without problems. But installing Adobe Premiere Elements 12 does not work. I am quite disapointed. See Fault Message below in German. It always fails while installing the shared technologies. What can I do?
