Just bought my wife an iPad would like to share some apps. How do I set it up?

How do I set up a second iPad but keep the apps on them both.

As long as you use the same Apple ID on both of them - just download them to the other iPad - go to the App Store and tap on the purchased tab to re download - or select the apps to sync in iTunes on your computer and then sync the apps to the second iPad.

i try convert video with quick time to apple tv, import in itunes( that's ok) but is impossible to synchronize my apple tv ( unsupported file).

normally I prepare my video with Imovie, create a file .mov full hd (like master) and with roxio convert file for apple TV.

Why would you make a new account? This will likely cause many problems. Just get you old account enabled.

Everything you purchased with the old account will always be tied to that account. You will have to authorize the computer for that account and you will have to update the apps from that account.

You can set the permissions to allow anyone to modify each file.
Select the file, press cmd-i on the keyboard, scroll down to the bottom of the dialogue and click the padlock.
Enter your admin password, then change all the permissions to allow read and write.
You could also do the same thing with the Shared folder itself which should allow everyone to modify any file placed in the folder. Select the shared folder, and repeat the procedure above. Then, next to the padlock you should see a 'cog' icon with a drop down menu. Click the menu and choose 'apply to enclosed items' and 'OK' when the warning dialogue ('Are you sure? You cannot undo this action') comes up.

Hello, I just bought macbook air - and now would like to give my granddaughter my old mac book. I've deleted all my documents, photos, but am unsure how to empty my iTunes music. All my stuff is now on my new computer and I do not want to lose my music!

No. Be sure you have transferred the entire contents of your old /Home/Music/ folder.
Create a new user account on your old computer. Have your granddaughter tell you what she would like the username to be and what password she wants. Be sure to set the new account with Administrative authority. Then log into this new account and delete your old account.

My husband and I share an itunes account and would like to share SOME music with our kid as well but NOT all, can we do that on the same account?

Or do we have to set up a seperate account for her? I would like to be able to share 'certain' songs with her but restrict others without having to 'check' and 'uncheck' songs individually every time we try to synch. Is there a way to do this or not? Also, FYI she has not synched to our library at ALL just yet since I am trying to figure out a way for this to work easily, and for her to be able to purchase songs with her gift card....but my husband and I do not want those songs to synch to our ipod. Only the songs that we are going to purchase. Does that make sense??:)

Okay, so I just got around to 'trying' to create and Apple ID for my daughter for her ipod as suggested above BUT I accidentally used her b-day and of course she is not old enough!!! So then I got off the internet etc and tried to create an apple ID for her using my b-day and it still would NOT let me, saying that I do not meet the minimum age reqirements!:( I am SO frusterated right now...it is not like I was going to let her have any control over what she purchases anyways, seeing as how she is 7yr. and we are generally strict about what she listens to. Is there any way that I can do this for her?

Just bought myself a JamPack and would like some advice on installing...

In the form of the Symphony JamPack. It was quite a fleeting idea, and I just went in and picked it up from the Apple Store. I see it needs 10 GB... This is just for my MacBook, so really just for self amusement, and I'm running lowish on HD space. I don't care at all about the loops, does anyone know how much space it would give me to get rid of them? Also, any efficient ideas on how not to install them at all? Or do I need to fully install and then delete afterwards.

About your situation, I can't recall if there is a custom install option in the Installer. That would be the first place I would look if I were you. If there's not, then you will probably have to install everything and delete the ones you don't want, like you surmised. And don't forget to have about 20% of your hard drive as free space......

You first have to purchase "tethering" from your phone service provider. Then it is just a matter of enabling the tethering within the iPhone preferences (create a personal hotspot), and then pairing your phone via Bluetooth. Here is a support document from AT&T on the subject.

If you open your apple account through itunes, you are not required to put you credit card info. That's how i did it!

If it is in your itunes on your computer, then select it to sync just like everything else that you sync.
The music must be on your computer.

In preferences turn on iTunes sharing in iTunes preferences and keep iTunes turned on in both accounts. Or better yet put the iTunes library on the main HD rather than in an account and set the location of the library to that location in iTunes preferences.
