Just bought new replacement iphone from apple store and less than two hours later, the screen went blurry and I can barely see anything. Phone still functions fine though.
Just bought a new replacement phone at the apple store and as soon as I got home, vertical lines came up through the screen and now it's extremely blurry. All the functions of the phone still work fine and I really can't see anything except a small part of the screen at the top. I called the apple store and he told me to put the phone in recovery mode on my computer and the restore and update it. I did this and I can tell the phone has restored yet it is still extremely blurry and I can't see anything to type it in. Is there anything I could do with this? The apple store is over an hour away and saving another trip down there would be great. Thanks

If there is a failure in the iPhone that requires replacement, at the genius bar the iPhone will be replaced while you wait. If you have an iCloud account and have backed up your present iPhone to iCloud, the techs will restore your content to the new iPhone for you.

Thank you.Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, and finally restore as New. I suggest you try ALL of these steps if your phone continues to have problems.
If after ALL 4 steps your phone still doesn't work, you've no choice but to have your phone serviced by Apple. As you've found out, the iPhone warranty is NOT and has NEVER been international. You'll have to send your phone to someone in the country of purchase to bring your phone into Apple--and then to have that person send the phone back to you. -
I bought yesterday online an Iphone from apple store Canada (http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone/iphone4s) and there said that was Unlocked but on my email came a message " IPHONE 4S BLACK 16GB GSM- CAN". Does It means that this item is Unlocked?
Was shipped today, October 8, but I don't know if this "GSM-CAN" means taht is locked or unlocked!
I BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED!"GSM-CAN" means that it was a GSM iPhone sold in Canada. It doesn't indicate anything regarding lock status. If you purchased the iPhone from the online Apple Store, then to the best of my knowledge, they don't sell anything other than unlocked iPhones.

I am assuming the phone was working prior to you installing IOS 6? Did you use itunes to install IOS 6 or just run from the phone?
When I tried to do the Over The Air update to IOS6 on my iPhone 4, it errored out and I had to connect it to iTunes and select "Restore" from the summary screen after iTunes finds the phone is connected. If this works for you, it will go through a couple of reboots that take a few minutes to complete. It should then give you the option to start with a fresh new phone or to use one of your previous backups to load your contacts and other information, provided you have backed up the phone previously.

I just went to apple store and get the replacement iphone4 from apple store, and my old iphone4 was unlocked, so the replacement iphone4 that apple gave me is locked or unlocked？
If the iPhone has, subsequent to the original purchase, been legitimately unlocked (as happens in UK )by the carrier, then a replacement either as a warranty or out of warranty will be unlocked as long as the transaction is carried out in original country.
However make sure the Genius is clearly aware that the iPhone is unlocked

When you buy a phone from the Apple Store, they are going to automatically attach it to a carrier. I'm not sure if you're with one right now but either way this is the case. The price you're paying for the phone is relative and I'll give you detail as to what that means.
Virgin Mobile: No contracts and month to month
iPhone Cost (32GB: $649)
Verizon: 2yr Contract
iPhone Cost (32GB: $299)
Monthly Bill: $100 (All in)
Now understand the math here. Over 2 years with Verizon, you'll be paying ($100 * 24months) + $299 = $2,700. So you're locked in for 2 years. You'll have to pay a termination fee if you want to leave early which I'm sure will equal so some of the amount balance of the phone for what Verizon bought it at. You're paying less upfront but more over the long term.
With Virgin you might end up paying $649 up front but since there are no contracts, you can leave anytime.

I bought the company unlocked phone from apple store Canada. It was originally loaded with software 4.2 and was working fine here in SaudiArabia. Yesterday I updated with IOS 5.0.1. Now it is showing that sim is not valid. The same sim works fine in other phones.
Here's and update on my problems and here are are some screen shots of the types of problems I've been having since the v5.0.1 update. Keep in mind these are native apps and I have tried the rebuild phone crap many times, nothing helps.
This is screen shot of a what happened when I tried to use my camera one day, both the front and back cameras were all black. I had to power cycle the phone to get rid of this problem. The cameras appeared to be working correctly, I could focus and zoom but it was all black.
Here is an image of what happened when I searched for something in a map. This is after I picked the choice I wanted, the keyboard disappeared but the list didn't. I had to force close the app and restart it for this problem to go away. Who knew five bars on ATT was possible.
And finally this is the messaging app, although you would not know it. I had to return to home screen (after a long pause for it to process the button push) and return to the messaging app. This happens all the time with the messaging app and the notifications sounds drive me crazy. If i'm using the phone, say browsing the web and I get an incoming message its almost 100% of the time the messaging app will screw up. The sound will play at the wrong time or not at all, message will show up in notifications and diasapear in message app or Ill have a problem like this: -

I don't believe Apple ships iPhones outside of any country where it is sold, regardless if sold as unlocked in a particular country. AFAIK, the iPhone sold in each country must be purchased at an Apple Store if there is one available, or via Apple's designed provider or approved sales outlet in each country. -

If you do not have a US billing and shipping address, you can NOT purchase an iPhone from the US Apple web site, if that's what you're asking.
If you are physically in the US, you need to know that #1. Unlocked iPhone 4S will not be available for purchase until some time in November. #2. The warranty is NOT international. If it breaks, you will not be able to get it serviced anywhere but in the US.
As for taxes, you will have to pay sales tax in the US. As far as any duties on the phone are concerned when you take it home, you'll have to inquire of your government for the answer to that.
