Just bought the iphone 5, screen is totally black

I just bought the Iphone 5 at the Apple Store, and on my first bootup the screen is just totally black but i can hear the noices when example clicking the sleep button. What the problem? How do I fix it?

I know this sounds really basic, but did you remove the protective plastic film? I was going to leave mine on for protecting the screen and had the same issue. I removed it as it was the source of the problem.

I just bought the iPhone 4s and everytime I try to set up my credit card info on iTunes I get this message: "Your credit card information does not match your bank records. Please enter a U.S. credit card and matching billing address." Help. Info is correct! I even tried to copy and paste it from my bank website and the message still pops up??? I tried it multiple times on my iPhone and multiple times on my HP PC. Any ideas???? Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a G4 with OSX 10.4.11 and just bought the iPhone 4 and cant get my music on my phone because apparently I need to upgrade to itunes 10 but cant because it only works with OSX 10.5. So basically im forced into another upgrade is that what i have to do?

this isn't something thats hidden its listed right in the minimum specifications on the box and on the apple website if this is a problem for you you should have read it

Nope.
Did you fail to import them before restoring from backup? If so, then they are gone.
You should import all photos taken with the iphone to your comuter regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore.

It starts on step 1 of 7, but when it gets to step 2 it says restarting and starts all over. I left my phone plugged in for 30 minutes and it just keeps repeating the first 2 steps over and over again. It won't sync.

Be careful - there's a difference between update and upgrade. Your machine is saying there are no updates available, meaning no later versions of OS X 10.5 (Leopard). However, you can very likely upgrade - at least to OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and possibly then to OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
Updates are free, but upgrades cost a bit. That's the dirference.

That is normal for purchasing apps for a device not previously associated with your Apple ID.

I am having the same problem...no verification email. It's kind of ridiculous to get a new iPhone and I can't even get it set up properly because I am waiting for a verification email for hours... GRRRR. I have asked for it to be resent several times.

Yeah. Double tap the home button and the screen will shift upwards to show all your running apps. Just press and hold one until they start 'wiggling' then press the 'no entry' like sign that appears in the top left corner of the apps. That'll close them and release the memory and resources they're taking up

Take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar for testing, and if it is defective and under warranty they will replace. Since you say iPhone 4, was this a used or refurbished iPhone?

I just bought the iPhone 5 and I tried to sync it to my itunes but it wont sync.. I tried everything!

After several attempts to sync my new iphone to my itunes it still does not work. I have tried everything including deleting and reinstalling my itunes but nothing works. Nor does syncing from my phone! What can i do to fix this ?

I FIGURED IT OUT. THANK FREAKING GOD!
This is what I did:
I went to control panel and unistalled iTunes completely, then I installed 10.6.3

It came up with an error saying that my library had beed used with a more updated verision, basically had to upgrade. I installed iTunes 10.7
After it had installed and iTunes was running I hooked up both my iPhone and my flash drive, I have more than 1 usb port I figure most computers do now, and by the time and date in the bottom right corner a small icon came up showing that I had devices hooked up. It showed both my iPhone (but did not know what it was) and my flash drive. If you right click on the iPhone it has the option to Troubleshoot it. I did it and my iPhone 5 now FINALLY SYNCS!
I'm sooo happy now.
