Just Can't Get iTunes to See Apple TV...Please Assist

I have a gigabit switch connected to a D-Link wired router. My iMac running 10.5.2 and my Apple TV running version 2 have a wired connection to that gigabit switch.
Through AppleTV I can access YouTube and the iTunes Music Store. On my iMac I can ping Apple TV with a very fast response time.
Unfortunately, all of this hasn't translated to iTunes seeing my Apple TV. It will not show up at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

I had the same problem until today. Here's what worked for me:
1. Download and install iTunes 7.6.1, the update just released on 2-21.
2. Repair permissions using Disk Utility
3. Drag all com.apple.iTunes.plist files from the User Library to the Trash
4. Restart.
5. Empty trash.
6. Open iTunes
A Devices list appears in the left Window of iTunes with Apple TV below the heading.
Click to enter passcode.

Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.

Just bought Windows XP laptop and can't get it to see my mac mini

I bought a netbook for easy cheap web surfing, windows xp.
However, really want it to be able to read Itunes and Photos from my mac mini.
I just can't get it to see the mac mini at all.
I have set up Itunes and photos folders for sharing, and on the sharing page
set up for windows access.
I have seen various forums where it says log in as windows user in the accounts setting, however my accounts setting does not have this option when you open it.
I am at a loss.
Does anyone know the way to sort this?

1. Is your netbook and your mac mini connected to the same network? How are you connected to the network? WiFi or LAN? Are you using a router?

I now have no iTunes on my laptop, can't reinstall iTunes, and I am pulling my hair out because I can not figure out how to send an e-mail to Apple because I bought my iPad just over a year ago. You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

Did you create a NEW Apple ID or did you change the email address for your OLD Apple ID? This will affect how you update apps in the future.
Anyway, go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores, log out, then log in with the new ID.

You can't, you will need to get a new remote.

Just what are you doing and what is the exact wording of the message you are getting?

I have been using my apple tv to access netflix for several months. It suddenly stopped working. When I try to go to netflix from the menu, it says "accessing netflix" but never does. I can access you tube just fine, but just can't get to netflix.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
