Just contacted Chat

Was advised to go to the support portal which of course does not help me at all.
I think Adobe has evolved to a company that does not take anymore responsiblities for it products and when they produce new software they take out randomly software that used to be good like Onlocation and Version Que. Then they want people to use their cloud and if people dont want that they will be forced to do so.

I installed Adobe Drive 4.00 over the existing Master Collection 4.00 and of course no warning that all my Version Que data would be distroyed of at least no longer accessable. All I wanted from Adobe is that they fix the problem and all I am getting is the run around. Last time it took me 2 solid years to get finally an answer from Adobe Systems.
Am I disappointed, NO not really - what can you expect from a company that has cornered the market, nothing.

Have you tried going to the Call Assistant website and signing up? The site is there, I don't see anything about it being discontinued. In fact I just signed in and got my list of calls, so it is still working.
Try going to https://www36.verizon.com/callassistant/signin.asp​x and signing up and see if it will work.
Otherwise I have no idea, sorry......

    As I thought I had made clear the answer is dependant on the type of Buddy or contact and is therefore a Yes and No answer.
    Buddies are a Yes
    Contacts (iMessage connections) will invoke FaceTime  and that being Video Only means a  No.
    Depending only your Apple ID and how you are contacting the other person you maybe able to use your Apple ID  to use the AIM side of Messages beta
    Lets say the other person is using an Apple ID ending in either @mac.com or @me.com
    Lets say you also have a Apple ID like this (one or the other)
    This means you can create a AIM buddy list (On the basis it Logs in to AIM) and you can add your Buddy.
    The Password does need to be 16 characters or Less (AIM Server limit).
    To be clear.
    Some Apple ID issued by Apple are in fact Apple ID and AIM valid Screen Names.
    This means in Messages Beta they can be the iMessage contact ID and you can set them up in the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts as a AIM screen name as well.

    I am sorry to say, the "creative cloud" is entirely useless to me.  I routinely go to locations where internet access is not available and despite repeated sign in's and activations, prior to leaving, if there is no connection available on site, it will not work.  i.e., it is useless.
    Most disturbing...  When I contact "chat", or call in to tech support, I am told there is nothing I can do and if I want to cancel the subscription (which I really don't want to do, but I am paying for something that does not work), I have to pay the "cancellation fee", despite my quoting your earlier message which stated that there is a known problem causing this.  With no one else to contact to discuss this with and no other solutions being presented, I'm running out of options.
    At this point, I am no longer even trying to use any of the other programs available via "creative cloud", since I am unsure of what the long term result will be and I have gone back to using my old / backup computer with the my previous, stand-a-lone, Photoshop, etc., installations.
    Worse...  "Chat" notified me that the cost for upgrading my stand-a-lone Photoshop (CS5 -> CS6) will soon go up because I had not upgraded it "in a timely manner" (ie, last year when I opted for the upgrade through creative cloud instead).

    Not to be critical, but in the time you have waited to find out how to contact Adobe you probably would have had your question answered by someone here on the forum. Many times people have been given bad information when they have found a way to contact Adobe. Much of the so-called technical support has been outsourced overseas. And the people manning the phones have no experience with Adobe products. So you can complain some more. Or, you can ask your question. It's your choice.

    I mean that I sent an email to a contact of mine yesterday. His reply contained a stream of very old emails I had received in 2009 from a totally different contact all together !! The reply email was in my inbox as being from the original person I sent the email to. This is starting to happen more regularly now , so is a problem !

    An older Mac without a camera can be used to Chat with Apple Support;
    however you may have to experiment to find out for yourself. As a test
    you could put tape over the camera just for this purpose...!
    After all, if you have a real world problem, you may have to dust
    off an old Mac, to contact support Chat about a newer model.
    A joke, there; you could describe the issues and maybe someone here
    could suggest things to try. Is the computer under an AppleCare plan?

    I looked everywhere on the website for an e-mail address, but couldn't find one. I have to send my iPod in for service because it has consumed itself in destruction, and because I bought it in Canada, Canada is the only place they will return it, even though I have changed my details. I don't live there anymore, I live in Germany, and something tells me it will be very expensive to be sending it all over. Does anybody know a way I can contact them to tell them that I would much rather send it somewhere closer?

  • Trying to contact chat for over 2 hours!!!

    is it normal to wait 2 hours for someone to speak to on chat!!! when I try phoning 202 from my mobile I get nearly through then get cut off feeling a little annoyed now tried to start a conversation @ system: at 13:05:52 its now system: at 15:02:23        

    even when trying to complain to them, im in a live chat for 1 hour, on a different tab, keep trying to phone but only get so far then they cut me off

    How long will it take my Iphone to back up, I only have a few pic, mabey 50 contacts.

    Contacts are not backed up since they are in their own database (the one used for syncing).  I have a few pics also, and an initial backup took several minutes at 454 MB.
    Go to: 
    Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, there you'll find how much the last backup was, and if you tap the device name under "Backups", you see the "Next Backup Size" for the next backup.

    Hi there,
    I purchased the 3 Touch Apps and received an email stating that I would get a free month of Creative Cloud. I was told the free month would be added on as a free 13th month, but when I just contact chat support, they said they didn't see that and would have to get back with me in 5-7 business days.
    That's obviously ridiculous to wait 5-7 business days to find out if I'm getting my free month as promised, so I figured I would try this, since there's no phone number nor email for support.
    Please help?

    July 11, 2012 was when I purchased them, right after I signed up for Creative Cloud (because I wanted my free month, so I bought the Apps right away).
    They were iOS Purchases.
    On 7/12/12, I received the confirmation letter (from Adobe) that I qualified for the free month (that entire email was copy-pasted below this message), and I was told separately that the free month would be the 13th month, after my annual subscription completed. I have just paid for my 12th month, so I'm confirming that next month is free. Doesn't look like it from all my documentation and customer support, so we need to correct that before I'm billed for something Adobe very plainly offered me, I took you up on that offer, and I did my part. Regardless of if the program was discontinued after my purchases and your confirmation email, I still am entitled to that free month, per the agreement of the initial offer. Email received is here...

    Only Vodaphone can authorize the unlocking of this phone. Apple can't/won't help you.
    However, Vodaphone, like most carriers, will only authorize unlocking for customers, obviously not you. You need to get your friend to request that Vodaphone authorize the unlocking of this phone.

  • Anyway to revert a sync?? just erased all my contacts

    1. address book erased all my contact during a 'find duplicates' operation.
    2. hoping that the itunes would ask me what to do (which direction to sync) and hoping that i could put the contacts that were still on my phone back onto my laptop, i did a small test sync (only selecting one small group of contacts)
    3. utter desolation when i realized itunes did not ask me anything, it just overwrote the deletions to my iphone **except for the group i had selected**
    so
    my questions are :
    1. can i simply 'revert' a sync?
    2. is the sync data stored somewhere that i may be able to manually pluck out my contacts?
    3. has this happened to anyone else?

    Try reseting only contacts from .Mac.
    If you are syncing other data with .Mac it can take a long time, depending on the speed of your internet connection to complete.
    If it hangs on just contacts, there may be an issue with the SyncService folder, and I would recomend reading the "swarm of bees" article, and possibly contacting AppleCare or a genius bar. That article is here:

    The only option that I have found is:
    Tool/option/General Configuration/Show profile pictures (perhaps the commands are different, sory my skype is in Spanish) with this your skype will show no pictures, is the only option available at this moment.
