I have created a new profile and copied firefox files from my old computer into it. How do I switch to the new profile, do I just delete the old one?

I am running windows 7 I had to recover my files from an external hard drive when my old computer crashed. I have created a new profiles as outlined in the firefox website and copied all the files into it. I just need to know how to use this new profile when I open firefox, do I just delete the old profile? Or do I have to reinstall firefox.

If you no longer need or intent to use that older profile then you can use the Profile Manager to remove that profile and delete the files.

Yes, you can delete the file. A new file in Syslog directory is started each time that LabVIEW and the Tag Engine is started. You can either manually delete old files or write a simple VI to automatically delete files that are older than a certain number of days.
As an alternative, you can save these files into another folder, just to free up syslog directory space, and still have these history files for later use.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Despite the clear instructions given my the moderator, PM related questions are still posted to PLM forum and some of the active participant of EAM forum answers these questions in PLM forum. It would be nice if those threads are moved to appropriate forum, so that the relevant informations are available under one forum, also, PLM forum should be monitored regularly and inappropriate threads are to be moved to their respective forum.

I had used abuse reports for some, but numbers of such posts are many.

I hate to say this, but I often see the same thing, and I've never been able to figure out exactly what triggers selectability vs. non-selectability, but I suspect some of it has to do with tranparency flattening in particular, and possibly text wrap in cases where that comes into play. ID optimizes the PDF it creates, I think, and that might cause text, or even images, to be broken into chunks in funny ways. It occurs to me that turning off optimzing for fast web view might help in this regard.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could give a penalty (negative Duke Dollars) to those people that post there issues in the wrong forum?

The BBC has a knowledge game show called "The Weakest Link" ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/weakestlink/ ) where players must vote against each other every round until two players remain.
But then again, a forum is not a fighting pit but a place for sharing knowledge.
Maybe this forum is the wrong forum for my post indeed, but I noticed that this forum attracts a lot of wrong addressed posts. (The name of) this forum seems to attract newbies that haven't heard of Generics in the sense of JSR14.

When I have my iTunes library on an external drive, but I forget to connect my external drive before opening iTunes, so then iTunes creates a library taking up room on my MacBook Air, can I just delete the iTunes library folder on my MacBook Air?

So I have a MacBook Air, but it doesn't have a lot of storage inside of it. So I set iTunes to sort all media files (it copies things as I add them and puts them in the iTunes folder) and I set the iTunes folder to my external ntfs drive. This has been working fine, but I find that sometimes iTunes starts adding stuff to the folder on the Air itself. I don't know if this is me adding files to iTunes when the external wasn't connected, or what, but is it OK to just keep deleting that library on the Air? Otherwise it keeps building up multiple GBs. Or will just deleting it do something bad with my lecture videos and music when I sync an iOS device? I'm really worried about doing something wrong with my large collection and have iTunes delete it or not sync with my iOS device and I won't be able to figure out how to set everything up again.
Also, should I format my drive to HFS+ rather than ntfs? The ntfs hasn't seem to be causing any problems, but I've always wanted to know. I keep everything on my external and sometimes it needs to interact with friends computers or school computers.

consolidate my library via file > library > organize library

in order for your Mac to write to NTFS drives, it needs some help by installing e.g. the NTFS 3G driver. apparently that or something similar is installed on your Mac already. preferably, it would be formatted for Mac but then windows machines would need to have e.g. MacDrive installed to recognize the drive.

Is it my imagination, or does the Last Post column keep appearing and disappearing from the forum home page?

When I'm reading a forum and want to go to the main Forum Home page, I click on the "Forum Home" link in the upper left corner of the page (just under the Oracle logo).
The link has this url: http://forums.oracle.com/forums/index.jspa?categoryID=84 which is slightly different than the two you posted.
When I click on it, I end up at the first link you posted. But sometimes I see the Last Post column and sometimes not.

I downloaded Firefox but when I try ro use the site it does not do anything, just ask the question, do you want to restore the last session, what do you suggest I try?

I have repeated the download trying to solve the problem but I get the same results. I used to have Firefox and used it all the time, I do not know how I lost it, but one day the browser just quit. The bookark, favorite works just not the browser.

Just to check one possibility, the playlists in which you're having problems aren't Smart Playlists, are they? Smart Playlists can be identified by the purple icon with the "gear" symbol; manual playlists are blue with a note symbol. You can't manually rearrange items in a Smart Playlist.
This may not be the case for you, but I wanted to eliminate that possibility before we look at other options.

I appologize for posting in this forum, but I cannot find a "Toast" forum. I am using a 12 core MacPro. I use Toast 10 to convert movies onto DVD. It takes hours to convert a DVD in certain formats. Does anyone have a better idea of software to use? Thanx in advance.
