Just did the latest update and poof...

So I just tried installing the newest update for leopard onto my desktop (G5 Dual 2.5ghz) and everything looked ok 3/4 through the install but when I checked back to the computer the screens (dual 23" Apple Displays) where black. OH boy...
I tried restarting the machine which gives the normal start-up chime and the first thing that was odd was that only one (the primary) monitor power LED was lighting up. Not good. Still nothing from either screen. So then I flipped the door down and plopped in my leopard cd and tried to boot from the CD and still nothing. Any ideas?

Long shot, but Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

You need to connect your phone to a computer with iTunes, and restore it to factory settings. You can then restore the device using a previous backup (if you have one).

Photoshop PSD files will not open in AE or PREM?? This was fine in CS6 and CC - just did the CC2024 update and now issues-any help much appreciated

Recently upgraded to the 2014 CC update and now i can't send PSD files…or any files for that matter into Premier or AE. If i save the file in Photoshop CC2014 then i can see it in finder etc, but i try to import and i get the notice 'importer reported a generic error'
please help i have work to finish

I am having the same issue. I can create a single layer file in Photoshop and it imports fine. If I create a file with 2 layers it crashes Premiere cc. Premiere will not display the box with options to import single layer, sequence etc. Any ideas?

Try to restore your iphone via iTunes or update to ios6.1.2.
If itunes gives an error with restoring (DFU/Recovery or just normal)
try this:
open your computer and search on windows; C://windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open up the hosts file in note pad you will see IP adresses and more add another line and put in this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
this is a by-pass to the cydia/saurik restore server, it has nothing to do with jailbreaking over voiding apple's warranty

Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

If you read any of the posts about wireless lack of connectivity, I think you will discover that your problem is related to their problems. Some people have Kernal panics immediatley, and if you have a wireless setup and the machine is trying to connect wirelessly, it kernal panics and doesn't continue. If this is not the case, write back so that further troubleshooting can take place. By the way it would help if you posted whether your MacBook was a Core2 duo (Broadcom wireless chipset) or Core Duo (Atheros wireless chipset) in addition to the type of router you're using. This gives technicians info they need to duplicate the problem.
