For some reason this happens to some people. The one thing that works is to reboot your iPad. To reboot: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad wil restart. Once it's back up, I'm betting you'll see iBooks.

Assuming you're on a Mac, you launch Adobe Reader like any other app, from Applications. If there is more than one Adobe Reader shown, start and quit each one in turn.

What version of the OS do you have? What has changed since iPhtoo worked?
What exactly is the problem - you say "it was not responding" - You downloaded a new version (what version)" -you can't find yoru photos" none of which is helpful
look in your applications folder - is there an Iphoto application there? If so get info and report the version
Look in the picures folder - is there an iPhoto library there? If so exactly (including exact error messages) happens if you double click on it?
what else can you tell us that might help us assist you?

The disc plainly state:
To use the AHT, hold down the D key as the computer starts up.
Works here. However, there was an issue with installing Lion that screwed this process up.
Mount disc 2, run this command in the Terminal app, OPTION-click & hold Finder's Dock icon, and select RELAUNCH:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 1
That unhides all hidden files/folders.
Now, drill down to /"Applications Install\ Disc"/System/Library/CoreServices/ and drag the .diagnostics folder into your Lion boot volume's /System/Library/CoreServices/ folder. That might require you to authenticate to copy the folder into the CoreServices subfolder.
Run this command to hide the normally hidden files/folders and RELAUNCH the Finder again.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles 0
This should allow the machine to boot into AHT when restarting and holding down the D key.
If that doesn't do the trick, run this command in the Terminal app:
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/CoreServices/.diagnostics
At the Password: prompt, carefully type in your admin password, since nothing shows up on the screen, and hit the return key. Then, try another restart, holding down the D key.

Left to its own devices, the iPad won't find any printers at all except for, I gather, AirPrint ones. All the rest have to be handled in various different ways through various different apps and techniques.

i just downloaded adobe reader and cannot print a pdf file.

Same or related issue.
After installing latest updates of Mac Mavericks and Adobe Reader, I can't open pdfs downloaded from the web or print pdfs from the web. Using "export" doesn't help. Same with the print/pdf workaround.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Reader. I indicated Adobe Reader as my default opener for pdf-type files. No help.
I'm using Safari.

So no, you're incorrect. If you want to make it even easier, you can double click the file...since it came from the Internet zone, it'll be marked as blocked bringing up a warning dialog. Below the run button is the notification about the digital signature.
This is really no different than downloading an application bundle from the Internet. Do you really know what is in that bundle, or do you just trust it because it came from the sources' site? To add to that, do you really know that it hasn't been tampered with on the sources site? For example, the offical sendmail site was compromised and a trojaned installation of sendmail was placed there for download a couple of years ago.
Without digital signatures, you don't know where it really came from. MD5 hashes aren't reliable if the site was compromised.
Beyond that, even with these protections in place, you don't know what is in the code...:)

The other option, which is a lot easier than trying to find things on the page is to go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ Right (or control) click on the download link and copy the link location. Paste that into your URL bar, and change the version number in there to the one you want.
E.G.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/download.html?product=firefox-7.0.1&os=osx&lang=en-US
Change the 7.0.1 to 3.6.23 or 2.0 or 1.0 or whatever version number you want.

They changed something recently and advised everyone to get up to date, which I did, but to no avail. I keep getting a "waiting" message. I have used the Safari "develop" menu to simulate Internet Explorer, but with no luck.
