I just OK'd a download from apple for itunes, 31 Jan 2014. I get the message that it didn't install properly. I'm lost in tha sauce Bubs. I can't access my iTunes Library. What have they sent me??

I just downloaded a folder which should contain some videos that should be able to play okay. But it downloaded in .exe -- is there a way I can access this?
Right click -> Properties -> Digital Signatures.
So no, you're incorrect. If you want to make it even easier, you can double click the file...since it came from the Internet zone, it'll be marked as blocked bringing up a warning dialog. Below the run button is the notification about the digital signature.
This is really no different than downloading an application bundle from the Internet. Do you really know what is in that bundle, or do you just trust it because it came from the sources' site? To add to that, do you really know that it hasn't been tampered with on the sources site? For example, the offical sendmail site was compromised and a trojaned installation of sendmail was placed there for download a couple of years ago.
Without digital signatures, you don't know where it really came from. MD5 hashes aren't reliable if the site was compromised.
Beyond that, even with these protections in place, you don't know what is in the code...:) -
Just downloaded latest Apple update, can't connect to internet
I downloaded the latest update for Iphone 5 and now cannot get on internet via WiFi. Wifi is on and it shows strong signal, but I get timed out while trying to connect. What do I need to do?
HankHave you reset the wireless modem to which you are trying to connect? Unplug the wireless hotspot and wait about a minute or two, then plug it back in. Let it reconnect to the internet (and confirm through another device that the internet is in fact working) and then see if your iPhone will connect. If not, reset the phone by holding down the lock button (top right) and the home button until the phone turns off and the white Apple logo appears on the screen.

This is a brand new laptop that I just bought two days ago. I was hoping to have itunes on my own computer finally, so I could sort out my horrible music situation. The installation went perfect. But when I try to open it, before I even get a chance to do anything, a little screen pops up and says,"itunes has stopped working.." then it will change, and become "a problem has caused the program to stop. program will shut down." so what should I do ? I don't even get the chance to plug in my ipod.

Before the reset quit Pages like this:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. -

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I just downloaded Itunes 11.1.4 (64-bit) update and am running Windows 7. Itunes will not run after installing this update and I receive an error message R6034 on Loading Microsoft C Runtime Library incorrectly. Also Error message 1114 the Itunes Installer was installed incorrectly. Is there an new update for this problem? Is anyone else having this problem? Please help. Thanks.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

You haven't opened an account with that Apple ID in iTunes. Open iTunes and log in. A dialog will appear in which you need to enter your Apple ID and/or password. Below it you should see a link for creating a new account. Click on that link to get started.

Pages died today. Just downloaded the latest update 2 days ago. Last night shutting down my very new MacBook Pro Retina, Pages stopped shut down. Today Pages will not open, all my Pages docs cannot open. Help please! Anybody have a fix?
You probably have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 in your Applications folder, will open Pages '09 files but will alter/damage them. It can not open Pages '08 files.
Pages '08/'09 in your Applications/iWork folder which can not open Pages 5 files.
When you were shutting down you probably had an unsaved document open.
You probably are opening the wrong versions of Pages to open the wrong document format.
Pages 5 has had over 90+ features removed.
Most users are going back to Pages 09 whilst Apple sorts this out.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously you see the Apple logo and then release.

i currently have a macbook 2.1xersion 10.6.8 and want to update. what can it support? Everything i try, it won't support! I can't even download IPhoto! Lion 10.7.5 is as far as you can go. You must have at least 2 GBs of installed RAM.
