Just downloaded PE 10 & relized it downloaded to my C drive instead of the partition

Just downloaded PE 10 & relized it downloaded to my C drive instead of the partition, is there a way to move it to the D drive (partition) or do I have to delete it and re-download?
Also, when I do move it, should the scratch disc be on the same drive?

It really doesn't matter where you download the PSE10 installer to. When you install it, make sure you direct the installation to the D: drive, if that's where you want it. After you install PSE, delete the installer file, or move it to D:
Scratch disk? What drives do you have? If there's only one drive, partitioned into two logical drives (C: and D:) it doesn't matter where you put it, the effect is the same.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Crap. That's what I was afraid of...Well, since I'm away from home and not near my pc, it sounds like I'm out of luck. The problem is that I need my phone to be at least functional for making and receiving calls. There's an apple store nearby. Perhaps I can go there and have them restore it and at least I'll be able to make and receive calls until I get home and restore from my backup. Does that sound feasible, or am I missing something?

Just launch CC and point to the older catalog. CC will update it and save the original intact. Might want to keep the older catalog and LR 5.7 for awhile, once you update the catalog for CC, it cannot be read in the older version.

if it does I would think about uninstalling illustrator and re-installing.

If you subscribed to iTunes match the songs are kept in icloud. If you didn't but you did save the actual iTunes library folder which should include the music, video, etc. you should be able to just drag this file back to your machine in the same place and when you open iTunes it will give you a chance to identify the iTunes library folder.
You can test this to find out if you saved the media files or not and don't need to attach your nano to do it.
You are correct that once you connect the nano it will clear the existing files from it and sync it with the new iTunes library.
If you don't have the media files i'm not sure if/how to get them back on a windows ipod. I have everything backed up regularly because of the horror stories I have seen & heard.

If you printed the page or still can view it (perhaps by tracking your order), look in the "Order Summary" table near the bottom where it says "iWork '08 Trial - Serial Number" there is a "Key" below the "Part Number". This key is of the form (at least for mine):

This is what can be entered into Numbers to unlock the trial. You do not need to wait for the email.

Sounds like a Windows installer. Does it say Mac on the disk? When you open the dmg, does it say Office:Mac?

If I try to download a word file every time it downloads it as DisplayMessage.aspx instead of the file. How do I sort it out?

Every word or excel file I try to download from an e mail instead of getting the file name.doc or xlsx, I get the downloaded file address - DisplayMessage.aspx which is just a blank webpage. It doesn't matter which version of word or excel is used and it happens with every download. Basically I cannot download any files in Firefox but in my ISP which is AOL - there is no problem at all with downloading the files from the same e mails.

Thanks for getting back to me. Basically I get an e mail on AOL mail and until now no problem - I right click and the option I get then is 'save page as' so that brings up a list of my word or excel files - the 'save as' option box - so you normally get the word or excel file address appearing in the top box and the file extension in the bottom box just as if you were opening a file in word or excel. I've done it thousands of times but it no longer works in Firefox. However if I log directly into AOL and say download and again up comes the excel or word files and no problem - only on Firefox is there an issue and it seems to be since the last update - on both my desktop and laptop

Sure, simply pick anotehr folder in teh download assistant/ application manager settings. Otehrwise use the direct download method:
