Just found out I cannot get iPhone unless I pay full price...very upset

My wife and I just went to the Verizon Wireless store and were told that we could not get the iPhone without paying a ridiculous amount of money. I had just assumed that current customers, who had displayed loyalty to their company, would be able to sign up for a new 2 year term to get the device. Have others had this issue? Is there any recourse for this decision?
In my opinion, this is a completely unacceptable decision by Verizon. Basically, I am valued less than someone else who is coming to Verizon new. Had I known when I completed my last upgrade that the iPhone was coming, I would have simply waited. I think Verizon needs to answer for this...

Ahhhhhhhhhhh but they would....All of us would want a new phone every six months at a discount and say, "Hey just extend the contract". We would have contracts that are 80 years long.
You need to show your loyalty by completing the contract you signed. When did you update your phones... One of you may be able to get one at two year pricing.

If you share an Apple ID, both of your phone numbers should be linked to that ID. You should be able to use your phone number as well. My wife, my daughter and I all share an Apple ID for purchases, and we each text from our iOS devices using our own iPhone numbers.
When iOS 6 came out, you were able to link the phone number with your Apple ID to use for Messages and FaceTime. You will need to sign out of messages on all devices and then start the process all over again.

I cannot believe that apple is refusing to help a customer who bought and paid for iWork software just because I bought it from the retail store the App Store says they cannot allow me to upgrade. iWork '08 & 09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. Those installations will not be recognized as installed by the Mac App Store. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '08 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08. If it doesn't have the '08 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
If you are running Pages 3.0.3, then you do have the latest version of Pages from iWork '08. If you want to upgrade to iWork '09, you will need to purchase the new version, just like everyone else. The good news is that you can buy just the individual iWork apps - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - that you need or want for $20 US each from the Mac App Store & then install them on as many Macs as you need using the same Apple ID.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.

IMAP email is server based. All messages remain on the server and are viewed remotely when using an email client like Thunderbird. If you delete the message from a remote device it is removed from the server.

When I clicked on "DesignStandard_CS6_LS16.exe I am told the application can't open because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. Does anyone know how to contact Adobe directly? I keep going around and around on their site and have found no e-mail or phone number to contact them to get this straightened out. Can anyone point me in the right direction? You can't block restoring in iTunes, but any restrictions you put on the phone are included in the iPhone backup, thus if your son restores from backup, he will restore any restrictions you put on the phone. His only choice, to completely remove restrictions, is to restore as a new device. You can also set parental controls in iTunes: iTunes>Preferences>Parental.

So sudden power loss is an issue with SSDs.
Personally I'd go with a moderate sized SSD internally and a conventional external for backup. An array would be the most reliable.

Apparently the promotion is limited in time (from 1pm-4pm), so I'm a little wary about if there will be anything that you could do for me.
I'm assuming it might be possible to go to the store a return my (online) order there, and rebuy it at the store to qualify for the promotion, but because it was an online order, can they resell me the online stock item right then and there? That's assuming I have the console by then since it just shipped out today.
Another problem I had was that I qualified for 10% cashback with my Discover Card by shopping through Shop Discover (5% + 5% Seasonal for all online shopping) - if I were to return it, I wouldn't qualify for that anymore.
The main reason for the card and console being on the same receipt is that if they were on seperate, returns would be an issue. If that's the case, would it be possible to issue me the 12 month XBL code after my return period on my Xbox One is up (2 weeks)? That would seemingly solve my delemia.
The last thing that I forgot to mention was that the console I ordered was the limited edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle - which is in high demand and sold out nearly everywhere. If I didn't order it when I did, I probably wouldn't have gotten it.

Here's how to do it.
1. App Store, iTunes Store should have the same AppleID on Computer and iPhones. (Free to share apps, music and books... )
2. Person A uses the same purchasing account for everything (ie. email, contacts and ...).
3. Person B have the same purchase account see no. 1 (for App Store and iTunes Store) but create a second AppleID for iCal, e-mail, contacts and etc.
