Just found out liquid has been spilt on my MBA 2013 13"
Bought my MBA four weeks ago from the UAE Apple Store (adds to the aggravation of the story) and last night a little bit of liquid (I'm guessing Vodka) got split over the keyboard and trackpad.
I only realised today, as my keys on the right side of the keyboard felt like they were harder to press than normal, and felt sticky. The same problem applies to the trackpad. Also the backlit keyboard is no way near as bright as it was, even at full bars it is dimmer than what one bar would have once provided.
The actual Mac seems to be running absolutely fine.
My worry is that over time the keyboard or trackpad may stop working and the problem may stem from this situation. Plus it’s very annoying to have to 'live with' these problems only a month after investing into this beautiful machine. Ideally I would like to give in the MBA and have them clean up the problem, so it does not haunt me in the future. I am flying back to the UK for university in a few days so handing it here does not seems like an option for now.
A few questions;
1) Does buying a Mac from the apple store automatically mean it comes with warranty?
2) Would warranty cover this?
3) If so, is the warranty international?
4) If not, is there anything that anyone could recommend to help me?

No warranty is cover any liquids spill by ur own fault,this only apply just defect machines and what you have done now is damages most parts inside,yes ur right can not working later as the parts become corrode/rust.Just clean as u can do now until not working,very costly when needs repair (could replace whole keyboard) or u may can do is bring to apple store or any comp store for a check up on ur own cost...remember next time never eat or drink beside the machine,other mac user have same issue like you and required repair or replace new mac on their own cost...sorry for bad news.

What external drives work well with a late 2011 MacBook Pro (I7, Lion OS) apart from my Kingston flash and USB drive, and the SD drives that I use in my cameras and recording devices? I ask because I just found out the hard way that a Samsung EVO 840 does not. Also, should I avail myself of something that works with the Thunderbolt or Firewire connections? I'm looking to back up music and video files created and/or processed in Logic Pro and the Adobe Production Premium software suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Audition, etc).

When I was in Chicago I had a pro photographer for a client. She wound up with 4 internal drives in her Pro, 4 external drives and an dual array locked in a steel vault in the basement. All from OWC. OK she was a bit paranoid. Great client though.

So sudden power loss is an issue with SSDs.
Personally I'd go with a moderate sized SSD internally and a conventional external for backup. An array would be the most reliable. -
I put Parents Control on my sons apps so he cant download 17+ apps, but I just found out if he goes on itunes he can restore his phone to orginal settings which wont have parent control on it. Then when ever he wants he cant backup his phone so it looks like nothing ever happened. Is there a way I can bloack restore on itunes?
You can't block restoring in iTunes, but any restrictions you put on the phone are included in the iPhone backup, thus if your son restores from backup, he will restore any restrictions you put on the phone. His only choice, to completely remove restrictions, is to restore as a new device. You can also set parental controls in iTunes: iTunes>Preferences>Parental.

Thanks!If you want to know when changes are made, but don't want to setup TACACS (and you have a syslog server setup), you can have the router syslog all commands entered while in config mode:

If you share an Apple ID, both of your phone numbers should be linked to that ID. You should be able to use your phone number as well. My wife, my daughter and I all share an Apple ID for purchases, and we each text from our iOS devices using our own iPhone numbers.
When iOS 6 came out, you were able to link the phone number with your Apple ID to use for Messages and FaceTime. You will need to sign out of messages on all devices and then start the process all over again.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.

Bought an Xbox One yesterday, but just found out about an upcoming promotion.

Apparently the promotion is limited in time (from 1pm-4pm), so I'm a little wary about if there will be anything that you could do for me.
I'm assuming it might be possible to go to the store a return my (online) order there, and rebuy it at the store to qualify for the promotion, but because it was an online order, can they resell me the online stock item right then and there? That's assuming I have the console by then since it just shipped out today.
Another problem I had was that I qualified for 10% cashback with my Discover Card by shopping through Shop Discover (5% + 5% Seasonal for all online shopping) - if I were to return it, I wouldn't qualify for that anymore.
The main reason for the card and console being on the same receipt is that if they were on seperate, returns would be an issue. If that's the case, would it be possible to issue me the 12 month XBL code after my return period on my Xbox One is up (2 weeks)? That would seemingly solve my delemia.
The last thing that I forgot to mention was that the console I ordered was the limited edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle - which is in high demand and sold out nearly everywhere. If I didn't order it when I did, I probably wouldn't have gotten it.
