Just got imac love it but have an issue with itunes gets stuck "waiting to copy" do I really need to return phone to orginal setting?

Remove the song in question from the sync list and see if the rectifies the problem.
If it does, then iTunes believes the song no longer exists on your drive and that will need to be corrected.

Do a factory reset .. nothing will be deleted from your backups and you will be able to get access to them again.

Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.

After Upgrading to 10.6.8 my aperture app starts but hangs trying to read the Lib. I removed the old lib and start with new. but still have the problem. 10.6.8 also made my Shark FX7 do the same thing. Any Ideas? Thanks

Love lossless but have playback problems

I have a 3G 30gig iPod. I have about 10 CD's ripped to it in Apple Lossless. Oddly, I'm getting jerky, audio cutouts at the beginning of the song, some songs start playing and then skip to the next song, or the end of the song gets cut-off. When it does play correctly I'm getting great sound via an Emmeline SR-71 headphone amp., and Sennheiser 600 headphones.
Note none of this happens when I rip in Apple's default standard. Battery is fully charged when I do this, and the battery indicator is at least 3/4ths full when these problems happen.
I'm sure this my be some kind of buffering problem. Do the new one suffer from this problem with Apple Lossless? Do they have bigger buffers? Just wondering?

I'm having similar problems... the songs skip and the counter doesn't act smoothly. It seems to be a problem with the software, since I haven't had problems with previous versions and the same setup I currently have; my library on an external drive and connecting to speakers through airport express base station. I've tried to get a previous version of itunes where I seemed to have no problems, but have found it impossible. Followed some links within this forum and the downloads came up empty. Apple should really make it easier to revert to previous downloads until they have the bugs really worked out! That would be the responsible thing to do for their customers.

I love Firefox but have had to abandon it because rpc.html pops up everytime I enter the home page.

I usse comcast.net as my isn obviously and in setting up a new computer, it constantly get the message "you have selected to run rpc.html" as a popup. It is driving me crazy so if you can't help me defeat this, I will have to go back to IE and never use Firefox again. Please help!

Thank you, cor-el, for those links, but that's exactly my problem. The first thing I did was set a new home page exactly as the above articles suggest. I have had Firefox for years so I know my way around the options menu. I also made a few other tweaks as well, such as changing my theme. But every time I reopen Firefox, everything reverts back as if I hadn't made any changes at all. I have the updated Firefox on my laptop and no problems like this... Think this is my cue give Chrome a try on my desktop...

Just got my iMac...But it came with OSX 10.4.2

I received the latest 20" iMac this Christmas and it came with OSX 10.4.2.
I know that v10.4.3 has been out for quite some time now (2 months or more).
Shouldn't it have come with the latest version of Operating System instead of wasting time downloading the upgrade?
I called Apple Support and the lady said that it's correct, it comes standard with 10.4.2 and if I want the latest Operating System (10.4.3) I would have to buy it for $129.00! What!!!!! I think this policy is absurd.
I requested that I should get 10.4.3 and she insisted that I have to pay $129.00.
It's not even 3 weeks old!!!

Addicted, please to not take offense at this, but I get the impression from your post that you are a new Mac user. If so, I can understand the desire to do a fresh install of the OS, but with a Mac, that is not neccessary. If you are not a new user and you still feel the need to do an erase and install, then it can hardly be Apple's fault that it will take a long time to do the required OS updates through your dialup connection.
That said, buying a retail box of Tiger does not guarantee that you will get 10.4.3. It only gives you 10.4 and it is up to the user to apply any incremental updates that come along.
You have not been denied anything that cannot be obtained for free, so there is really no need to be upset about your iMac shipping with 10.4.2. Go to the closest Apple Store with a CD and they will be glad to burn the combo update for you at no charge.

I play Paradise Cove, occasionally I purchase coins and/or gems. There have been several times when I was either charged the wrong amount or charged for a non purchase. I love playing this game but cannot trust that I can purchase what I want without getting ripped off. One case in point was a purchase of $4.99x2, this was for a certain amount of coins and a pacage of $4.99 for gems, which I did recieve however I was charged $9.99x2 for both and there is no plce to take the concern directly. I just recieved a charge of $4.99 for coins, I am not sure of the date of purchace, if it is somewhere in the past week I did not purchase it,my husband has been sick for weeks and I have been tending to him. If there is a purchase they need to charge you within a few days and give you a day of purchase date. What do i do and how can I get to the people directly about the game purchases?

To fix the freezing when sleeping problem go to System Preferences>Energy Saver and set 'Computer Sleep' to 'Never'. It seems there is a problem for some with Bluetooth failing to wake after sleep. This fixes it 100% for me and many others on here, until Apple issue a software update to address it.
Not sure what to suggest on the internet problem. I assume you are connected and receive and send emails OK.
Edit: To try to troubleshoot the internet issue maybe try turning the Firewall off: System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Firewall tab.

Apple does not want you to have two iTunes accounts so perhaps it would be better to cancel the account you used with your Dell and launch a new account for your nice new iMac. If you cannotmake contact with the original details go to ...
