Just got a new battery...now what?

so I just got a new battery today from Apple for my Mac Book Pro. Do I need to do anything to install it or do I just turn off the computer and take out the old one and put in the new one...and thats it? Also, what do I do with the old battery? Thanks

Hi ame,
on the battery disposal front see http://www.apple.com/recycling/computer/
As you are in Illinois you should also see http://www.epa.state.il.us/land/electronic-waste-recycling/consumer-education.ht ml . Apple are a participating company in this scheme.
Cheers
Rod
