You can go to the pictures folder on your old computer and copy the "iPhoto library" file and copy it to a thumb drive or something like that and then just open it on your new Mac.

Apps designed for iOS do not run on OS X....
But... media files should still run if that's that you mean.

I just got a replacement phone and want to do a restore from Icloud and cant find the back up there.
I purchased extra space and have backed up my ipad and my iphone. I backed up my iphone this am and again around 3.00pm when I was in the apple store. I came home to restore the phone and now cant see the back up on icloud. where did it go and how can I see all of my storage on icloudWelcome to the Apple Community.
settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, once complete the set up assistant will ask if you have an iCloud back up, follow on screen instruction to restore from it. -

i have got an 4s phone and want to import my notes from my old 3G phone; does anybody has an idea how this can be done?
If you have a Mac, I know you can sync your notes with the Mail application using iTunes by going to the Info tab when you clikc on your iPhone under Devices. Other than that, you may just need to email the notes to yourself since the 3G cannot use iCloud to transfer them.

While that may work, it is extremely time consuming and unnecessary.
Copying the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer will keep the library intact. -

If you Google ipod nano 6th generation manual, you can download the PDF manual. Here's a quote from page 19:
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.
Songs that are not from the iTunes store can be copied to the new computer, and you just have to do File>Add to Library to get them into iTunes. And if you don't plan to continue using your old computer, you should deauthorize it because you only get 5 authorizations for iTunes store purchases, and this will cancel out the authorization on the old computer.
