Just got a replacement Iphone 4S yesterday. Tried to do restore function with itunes.
Now my phone is just flashing a white apple symbol. Can't get to home screen or any functions.

Check USB connections

Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware. -
just got a replacement iPhone 4s and i let the battery run down all the way before charging it and now that i have put it on the charger it won't turn back on or show any signs that it is charging. its just a black screen. how do i fix it
Keep iPhone on wall charger for ten minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

I just got a replacement phone and want to do a restore from Icloud and cant find the back up there.
I purchased extra space and have backed up my ipad and my iphone. I backed up my iphone this am and again around 3.00pm when I was in the apple store. I came home to restore the phone and now cant see the back up on icloud. where did it go and how can I see all of my storage on icloudWelcome to the Apple Community.
settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings, once complete the set up assistant will ask if you have an iCloud back up, follow on screen instruction to restore from it. -

You got a new iPhone 4, and out of the box the phone is in recovery mode? If that's the case, return it.

I have Windows Vista computer. I am trying to upgrade my ITunes so can share files with other home computer. (Just got the new IPhone). I get this system error: The procedure entry point AVCFPlayerItemDurationChangedNotification could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll. Tries system restore and redownloaded...NOW Itunes will not even open. Can anyone help?
I uninstalled Apple Application Support, opened iTunesSetup with WinRar, and went down the list of msi's. AppleApplicationSupport was an install, all the others I did Repair. Did not have to reboot. Works okay now.

It is in your router setup. Some routers will display the passcode, just use your administrative login and get into the router. Look under wireless and look for the passcode. If the device does not display it, you may have to reset the password. If this is necessary, you will also have to change the password on all of the devices you have that connect to that wifi network.

I just got a new iphone 5 yesterday. I can't get any of the apps to request access to my photos.
I bought a new iphone 5c yesterday and am installing all of my apps on to it, and also updated to iOs 7.1.2. None of the apps I have installed (such as instagram, facebook, twitter or messenger) have requested access to my photos so I can't use my photos within the apps. How do I change this? I have already gone to my settings, general, privacy, photos and there are no requests from apps to allow this feature. I have tried uninstalling the apps and reinstalling them thinking maybe if I did that the request would pop up but that didn't work. The only thing instagram has requested is access to my microphone. Can someone help please? I'm getting beyond frustrated, and I can not get to an apple store to have someone take a look.
All of your pictures adn contact should be on your computer. Nothing should only be on your iphone. The iphone is not a storage device. it simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
You should be syncing contacts to your computer regularly and importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly.

Did you find them in iTunes? Go to "More" (bottom right) and look for "Tones".

I just replaced my iPhone 5 because of a cracked face. I backed up the old phone to iTunes. When I tried to restore my data off of iTunes to the new phone, I got an error message saying that iTunes could not restore the iPhone because not enough free space is available on the new iPhone. Now what?
I have Apple Care+, but I'll be darned if I can find any way to contact anyone at Apple to talk to about this. They take your money, but make darned sure they don't have to support you unless you jump through a bunch of hoops first, like this site.I've done a restore.. The phone was completely wiped back to factory settings.. It then tells me there isn't enough space on the phone to restore from back up? How when the phone is empty?!

I took my Iphone 4 to an Apple retail store. It had a cracked screen and I got and out warrantee replacement for $149. Everthing works but the display is subpar. The wallpaper and images appear muddy yellow and the colors appear washed out.

I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????

i got a new iphone5 last week and i want all my data such as images and contacts from my old iphone on the new phone. i had all the data backed up on icloud but can't seem to get it onto new phone! any solutions? thanks

When I go to the Music tab in iTunes under my phone, the only option is Sync voice memos. What the heck? I bought the largest phone so I could have all my music on my phone also. My music library is on an external hard drive but it's on the network and I my phone should have access to it.

On your iPhone enter the new Apple ID in Settings > iCloud > Account.
You can all continue to use the original Apple ID for iTunes and App Store.
