Just got iPod replaced, and I am immediately getting the exclamation icon
I was having a problem with synching my iPod, so I contacted support. They told me to send it in. I did. They sent a replacement. I open the box, install the software, plug it in, and I immediately get the folder with an exclamation icon. What should I do, now?

updater. This is really frustrating
I suspect this has something to do with your computer, based on the fact that a second brand new iPod is repeating this behaviour. Try a different USB port. Some computers have a different mix of different types eg. powered etc.
Nevertheless...
Extend the reset by putting the iPod into disk mode directly afterwards. This is a much more communicable state for the iPod to be in. If that succeeds, then go ahead and try to restore.
Reset + Disk Mode
1) Slide the lock button to ON.
2) Slide the lock button to OFF.
3) Press 'menu' and 'centre' button together for several seconds.
4) When you see the Apple logo, press the 'centre' and 'play/pause' buttons simultaneously for several seconds.
Could you tell me what OS and version you are using?

This is the iMac forum- you might get a quicker response in MacBook area. But I assume you have tried the settings in the Sytem Preferences for Trackpad.

Are you sure you have 3G iPod? If it is a 8 or 16 GB one it is a 2G iPod. A 32GB could be either. Identify yurs here:

on it but I deleted the music from itunes (kept it on my ipod of course) so that I could use the same computer to do my daughter's ipod without her having to have all my music on hers. Is there anyway I can get the music off my touch to itunes so that I can put it on my iphone?
Your iPhone or iPod is NOT a primary storage device. The music lives on your computer and is basically loaned out to your mobile devices for play on the go.
If you have a backup of the iTunes library, you will need to restore it. Otherwise, there is no offically supported way to get music from your phone to your computer other than music purchased on the device from the iTunes store.
If you don't have a backup of your music library, you'll probably need to get the CD's out and start ripping.
Next time, instead of deleting the things you don't want your daughter to have access to, consider creating a separate user account on the computer for her and letting her create her own iTunes library there. -
I've downloaded iOS 7 on my iPad 2 and after a couple of hours I've got black, white and blurred lines going across my screen and I cannot use my iPad 2 at all, can't see anything or do anythingg on it. Can anybody help?

We just installed a new Apple TV for the purpose of linking it to my iPad and iPhones. After numerous attempts neither of my devices will display the Airplay icon. I've followed all the troubleshooting suggestions, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
I have an iPhone 4S, an iPad 2, and an iPad 4. I set them all up the same. My iPhone4S and my iPad 2 will not display the icon. However, my iPad 4 will. As a matter of fact, I am watching myself type this on my TV.
It is my consideration that Apple has misrepresented. The connectivity of older devices with the latest AppleTV.

I am having trouble with downloading files from both Dropbox and iCloud to my ipad2. I
They appear to show as downloading but when I try to find the files there is nothing anywhere
On Android tablets if I have downloads I can normally trace them through a download icon but with the iPad there appears to be nothing

If you using DropBox, tap on the photo in order to open it on the right, and then tap the share icon in the upper right corner. From there you can Save the Image which will transfer it to the Photos app, or you can tap the Open In icon and select any compatible app in which to open and save the photos.
If the photos are being emailed it is basically the same thing. Tap and hold down on it and select Quick Look to open it, tap the Share icon, etc, etc. -

Well I finally exchanged my week 29 and I got a week 30 from CompUSA. Everything is running smoothly and the heat is @ a very cool 39 Degrees Celsius. I was wondering if anyone else had a week 30 Macbook like me. Does anyone have any issues with the week 30 production?
