Just got iWork '09 and I'm loving it, but......

Here's the issue: I also have MS Office that I use strictly for MS Spreadsheets and Word Documents that I work on with Windows. I bought iWork '09 because I wanted more integration between OS X, iTunes, iWeb, iPhoto, etc. and I LOVE the new interface.
But here's the issue: in MS Excel, whenever I hit Command+S it just saves. In iWork, every freakin' time I hit Command+S the save window comes up. EVERY time!!! Is there an auto-save feature or a preference that whenever I hit Command+S it JUST saves???
Or am I literally stuck with this annoyance?

I am not seeing the behavior you are seeing. After an initial save, pressing CMD-s simply re-saves the document without seeing the save prompt (including after importing Excel documents, after the initial save as Numbers document).
I assume when you save the file, it is where you saved it, correct?
If so, are you saving to a different drive or different partition? Saving to a folder that has permission issues? Do you have some 3rd party backup or security software running? Do you have any issues opening the file that you saved? Does the same thing happen with Pages? I'm thinking there must be something tricking Numbers into believing the file is not there after the save.

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple Id to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.

Just got iwork 08

I just got iwork 08 and I could really use some advice.
I work in a recording studio and I need to keep records of maybe 10/15 projects at once.I need to keep detailed notes of each piece and it would be useful if I had a master index of some kind.
Could anybody suggest a suitable template that would lend itself to this situation please?

Actually I think you would be better off with a database for such a project. Something like Bento or the top of the line FileMaker Pro.
But maybe some of the more experienced iWork folks here can offer more help with maybe using Numbers for you.

You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

I just got an Iphone and I am trying to get my Itunes music as my ringtone. I already got an app and made a ringtone. I even got the tones tab to appear in my Itunes library. I cannot however get a tones tab to appear on my Iphone sync area. Also I cannot get any of my ringtones into the tones folder. They are no longer than 30 seconds so that is not the problem. Any ideas?

Does this app not provide a video on how to sync it with itunes and then sync it to your phone.
If you have transfer the ringtone to your computer, play the ringtone - then it should move to your tones folder in itunes. Just make sure when you play the ringtone it's plays in itunes.

You need to contact the people who administer the networks to get the passwords for the networks. If there was such an app as you are asking for then passwords for wifi networks would be worthless.

You need to set up a separate iCloud account for each person that does not want to share their iCloud data. Yes, I was referring to the iTunes ID not needing to be the same as the ID used for iCloud. In order to set up an Apple ID your children will need to have a valid email address that can be verified by Apple. Apple requires this so they have a way of contacting the owner if there is a problem with the account, such as when you may need to reset the password on the account. When you set up the ID, Apple will send a verification email to this email account and you will need to click on the verificating link in the email to complete the process. If they don't currently have an email account you can just set one up with gmail or another free email hosting service. They don't have to use the account but you will need it to set up the ID.

It is not clear how or where you "added" your email, but you cannot create an Apple ID using an email address that is already associated with another Apple ID.
If that is what you did, delete that email address from your family's Apple ID. You should be free to create a new one.
Do all that by starting here: https://appleid.apple.com/
Select "Manage your Apple ID". Log in with your family's Apple ID and then delete your own email address wherever it appears.
Save Changes, log out, and create the new one using the same website. This time select "Create an Apple ID".
Please don't forget your security questions, and be sure to specify a "rescue email address" that is separate from all other Apple IDs. You will avoid so many problems that way...

The iPod sees the new computer as a new iTunes library. You can only sync with one iTunes library. However, you can manage music among disfferent computers. See:
