Just got my 1st ever iMac, where do you store the remote?
Hi I just got me 1st ever imac computer.
I have read there is a place where you can magentically attach it to the imac so it doesnt get lost - whee is it? its an ALU 20" iMac
if not where do people store there remote? as I know what will happen to mine if its not stuck on!!
Also how do you change the battery if it goes in the remote?

The new Macs dont have a magnet in it like the old iMacs, which is bad. I just put my remote right next to my Mac. To change the battery you sting something to the small button under the remote. Then a battery holder should pop out.

Have you held the menu and left arrow together for 6 secs ? (I think you have from what you say).
Also try unpowering and restarting AppleTV.

Where do you store your remote?
OK - I admit - I've had my MBP for less than three days and I've already lost my remote control (it must be around here somewhere - I've just no idea where). When I finally get a bag for my computer (and after I FIND the remote - if I find my remote) I'll just store it in my bag. But for now I have a simple (and tight) sleeve: nowhere to store the remote (unless it will fit in the ExpressCard slot?).
I'm beginning to think Velcro may do the trick - anyone else had a remote go missing and, if not, where are you keeping it so that it will be handy?I found it! I had tossed it in one of the compartments of my old PowerBook case... and I'm leaving it there until my new backpack for my MBP...
...as to the usefulness of the remote on a 15" screen, I see it more as a novelty when, for instance, you're sitting at the airport, your favorite hotspot, etc., and someone becomes interested in the photos of your vacation snaps. But I did note, looking at the Dell site at their 1.6" thick Intel Core Duo laptops, that they sell a remote for use with the XP media center OS. And, boy, not only is the computer big and ugly, so is the remote! -

Where do we store the vendor remit-to address in the vendor master record? We're on ECC 6.00.

I think you are aware of 3 types of vendor creation which is FK01, MK01 and XK01.
XK01 is used for purchasing releted as purchasing data is present.
Use MK01 / FK01 where only company data is present and this vendor created using MK01 / FK01 cannot be used in the PO's, IF we try to do it then the system will show up an error stating that purchasing cannot be done for this vendor.

Just got my 1st iMac, trying to load my iTunes library, but it only seems to want to load "purchased" music, not the music I've loaded by disc etc
Easiest way is to use Migration Assistant application in /Applications/Utilities/ on your computer.
This will migrate all yoru user data from old computer.

I just got a new ipad and downloaded a game from the game center. I went to "games" and can't find it. Where did it go? Help!
You download games in the App store app.
Game Center is used for scores and linking with friends. -
Just got a Late 2012 iMac 27 inch - recovery issues
Just got a brand new iMac Late 2012 27 inch model (CPU: 3.4, 1GB GPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion, 10.8.3).
Couple of questions:
I tried Command R to get into recovery mode to see if it is working. It is not working at all. I then tried pressing the Option button after the chime and it took me to the recovery with just a wireless network list. I'm not seeing the built in revovery partition being listed. I didn't try diskutil to see if it is there but it should be. Any ideas?
I got a Magic Trackpad which is not working when I browsed thru the Wifi network list. Is this normal?. I had to use the keyboard to scroll thru the list.
Also, I was reading the reviews on the cleanup software available for Mountain Lion. I was checking CCleaner (free), Onyx (free), Stellar Speedupmac and CleanupMac (Macpaw). Which is simple and effective?
Thanks.So, if I see it when running diskutil, why it is not seen when in recovery view? or in other words, why does it exist when it cannot be used?. I infact turned off wireless and still it doesn't show the internal recovery partition.
Thanks to Paul_31 for pointing that MacKeeper is a scam. The funny thing is it even shows up as a popup ad when running on Windows 8 and browsing some site. .
Btw, since I just got delivery of a brand new iMac, as a newbie what are the things I should look out for to ensure everything wrt to hardware and software are working. I have heard people say run the PixelBuddy to determine if there are any dead pixels to begin with.
Btw, do I need the free Sophos AV software?. I think it also removes malware. Do you guys recommend any best and essential utilities (free and paid) that are useful?
This machine will predominantly be used for doing HD video editing, programming including BootCamp running Windows 8 with Visual Studio 2012.

Set you 2nd iPad from your 1st iPad. If you have your music in your iTunes library, it's easier as you can set it up as a new device and then go to music>sync all music.
Once you set up you 2nd iPad from your 1st one, if you want do not want the other setting to be synced, turn it off. For example, in apps, uncheck everything and you can get rid of them. -

I unfortunately just got my IPhone 4s stolen.I thought I had the find my iPhone enabled but I didn't because I cannot locate the phone when I sign in ICloud.I have a password on the phone but i'm not sure if I turned on the option where the phone resets if you incorrectly put the password more than ten time. I immediately called my phone company (Verizon) and reported the phone stolen.So I know whoever took the phone cannot place calls or use the phone. But can they still access my data on the phone if they manage to unlock the phone? If so how can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information? is there any other way other than Find my IPhone to wipe off the data on the phone? I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your phone! I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. From your Apple menu at the left end of the menubar, select "About this Mac." You get a window similar to this:
1) The Mac OS version is just under the big "MAC OS X" line. Post what that says.
2) We can start to figure out what iMac you have if you post what that the "Processor" line says.
We need to find out because Apple's poor labling choices for this forum, intended for iMacs made before 2006, causes people with newer and much more capable Macs to post here by mistake.

My wife just got this iPad mini and I want to copy the address book on my iPad 2 over to the mini. Can I use iCloud to do this and what are the steps. The 2 devices have different Apple IDs.
Download the "My Contacts Backup" app from App Store to your iPad 2. Make a backup and send it by email to your wife's address. Open this email from iPad mini and tap the attachment to import the contacts into iPad mini Contacts app.

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. Check you are logged into your store account properly (settings > store). Also check there are no restrictions set that might be causing this (settings > general > restrictions)
