Just got my airport express and it's NOT working (Help)

Hi,
I've just got my airport express 2 days a go and I've try many time to set it with my black macbook and my pc and it's not working at all...
When I've plugged it, the ligth went grenn and then solid amber and then it flashed as it was suppose to do. After that I wend in the "utility airport" on my macbook, I was seeing my airport express but when I clicked continue, the computer was searching for something for 30 minutes and then I realized that I was connected on the internet but that my networks were not configured.
So I've decided to try to do a factory reset. And then my macbook couldn't see my airport anymore. So I've try with my pc and it has recognized my airport. I've started to do the configuration, but at some point, my computer couldn't see my airport anymore...
So please help, what can I do to make airport express properly.

I've tried to connect directly my macbook to airport with my ethernet cable to configure airport express... but when I've open the airport express utility, my computer couldn't find my airport express...
PLEASE I NEED SERIOUS HELP !!!

What do you mean "not working"? That could mean multiple different things.
If help is desired, be as specific as possible.

Airport Express and Extreme are not working together

My new airport extreme came up just fine. All my Macs and PCs connected effortlessly.
The same can not be said for my Airport Express. I reset it, and it takes the config, then vanishes. Connected directly to my Mac, to the Airport Express, or via wireless to the express, it still just disappears and gives a blinking amber light.
I tried re-installing 6.3 firmware, with no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks for the clarification. The behavior you're encountering sounds as if it may be the expected behavior of an Airport Express after it has been set to client mode, but wasn't able to join the network. Typically when setting up an Airport Express you'd want the unit to be in the same room as the Extreme, and then if the Airport LED is not going green then it's typically an authentication association relates situation. I just got an Airport Express and it works great except for XBox lag.

I am having intermittent lag packets with online games Xbox Live in particular. The Xbox is even on the ethernet port. Yes I have the Xbox set to a static outside the DHCP range and in the DMZ/Host port. So far I have also turned NAT-PMP off to see if that would help and changed channels on wireless to manual.Any other ideas?

If you are getting 20 Mbps measured at the Ethernert port of the Express, it should work great. Suspect a defective Express here.

I can use Crackle from Puerto Rico using my Ipad, Iphone and other devices. Crackle just got launched on AppleTV but it is not working on PR. So I still have to use airplay to watch Crackle content instead of being able to use the AppleTV.
Any solutions?

The device is locked to the carrier it was purchased through unless you specifically purchased it as unlocked directly from Apple.
Only the carrier to whom it is locked can authorize it's unlocking. To do so, the user much contact them to start the unlock process.

From where did you download Premiere Elements 9 at this late date? What computer operating system is it to be running on?
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update installed?

Are you getting any display card errors?
We have just gone down this type of road with another 9 user, so let us start with what finally seems to have worked for him.
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Is the driver for that card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of that card? If not, update the card driver. If the driver is up to date already, then delete the BadDrivers.txt file.
For now I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path shown. After you deleted the BadDrivers.txt and reopened Premiere Elements, the program will generate a new BadDrivers.txt file but now the problem should be gone.
Please review, consider, and then let us know the outcome.

I just bought an airport express and I am in the process of configuring but my mac does not detect any airport devise. internet is working wirelessly and the airport is plugged next to the mac. any clue how can I fix this?

You don't mention what function you want the AirPort Express to accomplish.
If you are trying to configure it to "join" your existing wireless network, you need to know the exact type of security that your wireless network is using fo you can use that same information to provide the correct settings to the AirPort Express.
You may be getting a message that the settings have been stored successfully, but unfortunately the settings that you have provided to the Express are likely the wrong settings.
The only way that you really know if the settings that you entered were correct is if you get a green light 20-30 seconds after you click Update. If you don't get a green light on the Express, the settings that you provided were not the correct settings.
When you click Update, the Express will "disappear". This is normal. Up until the time that you click update, AirPort Utility is communicating to the Express on a wireless network with a name like Apple Network xxxxxxx. As soon as you click Update, the Express switches (or tries to switch) to another network, so of course it will disappear from the AirPort Utility window.
As soon as you click Update, close AirPort Utility. There is no reason to keep watching a window when the Express will never appear.

Airport Express and Apple TV not seen by new computer

I have two airport expresses (both A1084 wireless g) and an Apple TV (a couple years old). I have the latest version of iTunes and the latest version of Airport Utility. My new computer is a PC running Windows 8. Everything worked fine until last week when my old computer failed (it was a PC running Vista). I got the new machine up and running and for a little while the computer could see the airport expresses but never did see the apple tv. Then it stopped and that was that. I shut everything down, restarted everything, uninstalled and reinstalled Airport Utility, uninstalled Airport Utility again and reinstalled an older version, that didn't work, upgraded to the new version of Aiport Utility and that still didn't work. My wireless network is fine, my iPad can connect, the new computer can access the internet fine. My old windows xp computer that is on its last legs can see the two airport expresses and the apple tv. But this new computer which is the one that is supposed to take care of all this for me can't. Any suggestions because I'm at my wits end.

i'm assuming that the Airport Utility app for your ipad sees them? I wonder if Win8 has a firewall active that is blocking the ports.

What version of iTunes do you have? You must have iTunes 10.7 or later. iTunes 11 is the latest.
If you are using iTunes 11 use the View menu to View Sidebar and then connect your phone. Does it now show up in the left sidebar?

AirPort Express+Stereo+iTunes+XP not working since download

I added an AirPort Express Base Station to boost my wireless LAN coverage and hook up my Stereo to iTunes. It all worked fine when turned on. Used it for about a month. I downloaded the latest iTunes lately and now I don't see the option to direct the output to my stereo system. I am using iTunes on a PC but my LAN includes a wireless connect to an old power book(OSX), a laptop PC(XP), a wired Linux box(SUSE) and a couples of wired Sun Micros. Once in a while the wife tunes in on the wireless LAN with her Apple laptop. How do I get the stereo to connection to show up on iTunes again?

Hi Chris
Thanks for your response. However, the firewall is not blocking iTunes from accessing the internet. The exception is already added as per the instructions in the link and iTunes can 'see' both the Airport Express and Apple TV. It just can't stream music to either with the firewall enabled.
Note: The inbound rule for iTunes is there and allows access on all ports and all IP addresses.
