Try a Restart and a Reset...

1) Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
2) Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Try rebooting the iPod by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot.
If that doesn't work, connect it to your computer and try restoring it via iTunes.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My daughter tried to open a game on her Ipod touch and the screen went white and I can't get it to do ANYTHING...I've tried holding the sleep/wake button and it does NOTHING, still only a white screen.

My daughter tried to play the My Horse game on her Ipod touch that she got for Christmas and when she opened the game it said something about sending "push notifications" and gave the choice of "don't allow" or "ok"...we chose "don't allow". By the way, I always allow "push." That allows the app developer to "push" information to your device rather than waiting for you to ask for it. However, "don't allow" shouldn't cause the problem that you're experiencing.

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Some places also will sell parts and instructions for doing the repair yourself, but the connectors and parts are delicate and it's easy to cause further damage, so attempt this only if you are confident in your skills.
