Just got my micro! got some questio

Hey guys i just got my micro and its great! it had firmware .0.03 already installed! so i downloaded the latest version of the none playforsure micro browser....
heres what i need to know..
what does syncing do?
What are the benifits of firmware 2.0xxxx with windows media player 0?
is there a way that if i select to play all of the tracks from a spacific artist to make the songs go by album? because i have a artist with 4 albums but when i click play on the artist it plays the songs randomly....

if the micro works in the same way as the touch in this sense....if play mode is selected as "normal" it ought to play tracks by an artist in track order. when im in that mode, if i browse by artist, then select "Led Zeppelin", then hit Play, it will play the albums in alphabetical order, but songs within each album play in order. dont know if its the same on the micro, but if you have your tag info right and "normal" as your play mode i think it should play like i described

Unpair the headset from the phone with the problem. Restart the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears), the pair the headset again. Also, look for things nearby that may be causing interference in the Bluetooth band. Cordless phones are a common cause of interference.

Just got some bugs with Dock and Dashboard

Hi!
Been using my mac for 1 year now. Sudden some bugs just came by.
I was using two widgets; "Ordbok" and "TriTrans".
When I now try to use TriTrans I get this: http://bildr.no/view/75953 and I can't enter a search.
When I try to use Ordbok i get this: http://bildr.no/view/75954
I tried to make a new account just to see if I got the same problem and I sudden did. Then I went back to my main account and deleted the Dock, Desktop and Dashboard pref files (in Library/Preferences). Rebooted and tried again. Didn't work.
When I made a new account I also noticed that the Dock had an icon with the "question mark" (this ting: ?). When I hovered it I got: "iMovie". Some icons to the left I got a working "iMovie HD". Where does the iMovie (wannabe) icon come from? (It was a new account).
Anyways, someone now how to fix some of these?

Btw, someone who got any idea of the "question mark" icon I get in the dock when deleting the Dock config file or add new user? It says "iMovie" but beside it I got the "iMovie HD" icon, working.

This weekend to add to my rig as the generic stuff I was using wouldnt even stay stable in dual channel for 2 secs.
Now the new sticks are awesome and max out at 250(500)mhz - but mine are running at 400 at the moment because I am guessing my fsb is at stock 200.
So in order to get them running at full speed - i guess I have to aim for a 250fsb and drop the multiplier to 9x on my 3500+
Should it be as simple as that? Ill get a mild oc to boot as well so seems like a nice solution to keep everything running a 1:1.
But am I gonna have to mess with other stuff as my last o/c experiences were with P3's and I have fallen behind a bit. Do I need to mess with voltages? HTT? etc etc??

Well I took my ZMP to 3 rollercoaster in japan disneyland and I am just worried that I had damage the harddisk but it still works normally and during the ride the player was not on and it did not knock agaist any thing it was in my jacket and I was grabbing hold on it to prevent it from hitting anything SO DO YOU THINK THAT MY HARDDISK IS DAMAGED?</LI>

There's no way anyone could say for sure, even if it did get a few knocks from being on the rollercoaster, it's possible that didn't damage the dri've.
Are you having any problems with the player, that are causing this concern? The total space on a player won't tally to exactly 8GB due to the way harddri'ves are calculated. Here is another thread that covers this in more detail.

Turns out the unemployment office called my old employer today: The position I was in was outright eliminated. I have no idea why they didn't just tell me that in the first place. This is such a load off my mind and will make finding a new job so much easier! Thank you everyone for the support you provided.

Just got some RAM, guy says its Kingston- I'm not sure...

Its is because on the chips on the RAM stick its says the words infineon , no mention of Kingston 'cept a sticker!
please advise I have 3 days to get it back to the guy if I'm not happy.

Oh, I thought you bought it used from a guy on eBay or something. If you bought it new from a vendor, they should give a warranty longer than 3 days.
FYI - I did a Google search on "Kingston Infineon." Those two companies appear to be partners.

Just got Zen Micro. Need some HE

I just got the Zen Micro (5 GB). I installed the cd, and I'm not sure what firmware is, and if it's already installed or I have to do it myself. I didn't read anything in the instructions that said anything about it. What is it and why do I need it's Where do I get it's I tried to transfer songs, but when I plug in the USB cable to my Zen Micro, it says.. "Player not found". ? Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? Sorry! I'm not very computer or technology savy. So help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

okay, next Q. do i need to update my firmware? i would assume my zen came with the most updated version since i just bought it. i don't know if it matters where i bought it however. i got it from amazon.com
i did install everything that was on the CD. including things that i already had, such as windows media player and acrobat.
any other suggestions for why it says "Player not found"?
i did reboot and clean up the memory twice to see if it would fix it but to no avail.
also, the screen freezes on me sometimes and i have to reboot. ?

Just got my zen micro, scratched battery co

Hi folks,
Ive just got my zen micro, despite it being brand new and being shrink wrapped, the back battery cover is covered in hairline scratches (you can only see them in a certain light) however its driving me nuts as im very fussy about these things
is there anywhere i can get a replacement? i rang support and the guy was like no! he didnt seem to care my apparently brand new micro looked damaged?
Also i find the sound quality poor on some mp3s, a bit 'scratchy' i suppose and they sound perfect on my pc?

regarding the player, i bought it in the O2 experience on Grafton street, they wont replace it for the scratches as they say, rightly i suppose, that i could have scratched between thursday and today.
Im sure i havent tho as i never out anything like that in a pocket with anything else, and i noticed the scratches straight away.
Its odd as the rest of the player is immaculate as it should be but the battery cover looks quite worn.
If you could organise a replacement id be eternally grateful im living in dublin (as your profile seems to suggest that you do aswell)
I know its a silly thing to get worked up over but its bugging me!

Just Got a Refurb Zen Micro, Can Anyone Please Help - Clic

Hi all,
Just got a Zen Micro 6GB refurb today, when i first tried it (before hooking upto a PC) the clicker didnt work. I hooked it upto my PC and transferred some tracks, when i disconnected however my device started playing up.
When i turned the device on the screen glowed blue for 5 or so seconds, and then turned off. My first (panicked) thought was that the player was updating its firmware when i had unplugged it, although it didnt mention this anywhere.
What was interesting however was while the device was in this "blue screen" mode, when i scrolled up and down the clicker made a clicking sound, even though i couldnt see what i was scrolling because the screen was dead apart from the backlight. This proved that the clicker did physically work.
I reconnected to the PC in some vein hope of fixing it, and after a couple of on/off cycles it booted, and has worked fine since, however when i set the clicker on it still wont click.
I am interested as to if anyone has any ideas as to how to possibly fix my clicker problem. I know it will physically work as i've heard it click when my device crashed, i reckon a bad firmware flash has stopped my clicker clicking.
Can anyone recommend me a particular firmware please, everyone said to stay away from the latest PlaysForSure firmware on my old Zen Xtra, and apparently it bricked lots of devices, so im a bit apprehensi've about getting the latest release.
If anyone can help me fix my clicker please i would be most grateful as i dont want to send my little player back.

just got home from work and saw my micro at the door....i decided to give it a shot and see how it does....anyway..im installin the software right now and its on the charger gettin powered up........i got th elimited edition so im just leavin the spare battery in its package......what should i do next?

i wouldnt even bother installing anything from the cd it comes with. download and use the latest drivers and firmware from creatives website, although some folks are saying that the 2.x versions of the firmware are flaky. i dont own a micro, so i cant comment on how well it does or doesnt work. charge the player ALL THE WAY before you do anything. then follow the instructions carefully and then ROCK OUT. its important to fully charge and then fully discharge the battery the first few times to make sure you get maximum battery life.

Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.
