Just got new FF version - can't get app tabs to work

I'm on a Mac and can't get the app tab function to work. I promise I read through all of the instructions; just still won't give me the pin option when I do control click.

Does the context menu open if you control click on a tab on the Tab bar?

Do you have a video card with at least 512 MB of vRAM?
I only have 256 MB vRAM on my older iMac and still have 3D capability in PS CS5, but not in PS CC. The newer versions of PS require 512 MB in order to enable 3D.

You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

Just got iMac 21.5 can't get image on Apple Cinema HD display - is it thunderbolt issue?

I just got my new iMac 21.5" desktop and tried to connect my 21" Apple cinema HD display. I have power to the external display but no image - screen blank. I'm wondering if it is a cable issue even though the adapter I used to connect this monitor to my MacBook Pro fit the thunderbolt port - is this a port or adapter issue?

Short version, the 23" Cinema HD is among one of several older "vintage" Apple displays that are no longer supported under Mavericks. No brightness control, and it's likely to not work reliably at all. I can't say why I was able to use it for as long as I did with no problems. I take all this to mean that the display itself works fine, but not with my new MBP Retina.
Though a tempting excuse to spend another grand on a 27" Apple Thunderbolt display, I opted for a $250 HDMI monitor from Fry's instead.

I just had a similar problem. Both the ipad 1 and ipad 2 in my household quit connecting to the network even though it seemed to recognize it. if you think it is recognizing your network, just not connecting, check to see if bluetooth is turned on. i had to turn bluetooth off and then manually enter the DNS number.
My solution also came after I re-started my network and reset all the settings on the ipad2. The DNS number then showed along with IP submet Mask and router. I used that dns number to enter into ipad1 after turning bluetooth off on it.
Totally unscientific fix that may have been more coincidental than correct but you might try it. BTW--no idea how bluetooth even got turned on to begin with.

New router now can't get airport express to work

Att installed a new wireless router.
Everything else seems to be fine but can't get airport Express to communicate with My MAC. Green light on airport device. Just downloaded OX on Mac recently.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Reset the Express to factory and start over.. this is always required when you make major network changes.

How can I get App Tabs to automatically load a fresh version of the page every time I click on them?

I like the app tab feature and am using it for sites that I visit frequently, for example, weather sites. The problem I have is that when I click on say http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ta/arbroath_forecast_weather.html I get the site as it was the last time I used it. Today this meant I got a weather forecast starting from 2 days ago, not from today.
I can get round this if I remember to "Reload" every time but I'm guessing that is not the way app tabs were intended to work.

Just completed new build and can't get through POST

Hello to all on the forum,
First time posting here, but have spent two days looking for similar issues. Found a few, none of which address my particular set of circumstances. Setup is as below, and upon power-up, I see the MSI splash screen, then quick screen mentioning a Promise bios, then screen with "detecting" followed by dots going right, finds the IDE bus, sees a single drive (all I have installed now), then message as follows, "BIOS not installed", flips me to the screen with Del for setup, F11 for Boot menu, etc. At that point I can't enter from keyboard, and can't move from this screen. The D-bracket has RRRG, which seems to indicate keyboard controller. Tried several keyboards, done the bare-bones start up with Processor, vid card, mobo, and one stick of mem. Still same result. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I have built a number of machines, but never SATA, and haven't seen this issue before. Just wanted to try and work around this before I decide to RMA this board and start over. Thanks in advane.

Hi there had the same problem, d-bracket may be setup rong. Sounds to me like it can't find your HDD. running a maxtor 120 SATA HDD. had to use maxblaster 3 to find my HDD. once found! lost my cd-rom. on that problem I move my IDE cable and pluged it into IDE 0 set it up in my CMOS and all was well. AZUSE has the SATA drivers in it's mainboard disk but MSI does not. Go to your HDD sight and find the program needed to find your HDD. Befour install ing it Go into your cmos and set up in your advanced BIOS FEATURES settings under look for Boot Device Select and set it up.

Bought new Macbook but can't get Aiport Express to work

I just purchased a Macbook and am trying to connect wirelessly to my cable modem using my Airport Express that I was using with my iBook G4.
I had all my files transfered with Migration Assistant and when I opened Utilities under Applications and clicked on Airport Express Assistant I get a message "The AirPort Express Assistant requires AirPort %@ or later."
When I tried using the airport utility, it says that there is no base station found. I'm frustrated looking at the yellow blinking light on the airport express.
Could this mean that my airport express is too old for my new Macbook? It was purchased in 2004.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

The Airport Express is not too old to use with your MacBook - it should work perfectly.
Try running an ethernet cable between the Airport Express and your MacBook, then run the Airport Utility and see if it can then "see" your Airport Express and allow you to configure it.

Can't get App Server to work

Hi! I am beginning to use Studio Creator and I am following the Get Started Tutorial. When I try to Run the example I get the error "Can't initialize Sun Java System Application Server 8.2"
Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

You may try to start the App Server independently to see if it works:
1. click on the "Severs" Tab
2. Right click on the "Deployment Sever", and on the context menu, click "Start/Stop Server"
3. on the pop up dialog, click "Start Server"
4. if there is a problem:
look the server log file for more infos, which is located as follows:
$Creator_Dir\SunAppServer8\domains\creator\logs\server.log

Can't get App Store to work on MBP

I have tried to get the download from 10.6.6. upgrade but find it stops me - I'm on 10.6.7. I can't find anything on the web to help, despite clearly lots of others are having the same problem. Rowland

Is this an Early 2011 MBP?
Try manually downloading and installing this update;

I would drag the MAS app to the Trash and restart before applying either of the updates.

It sounds like some of your photos are over 30 days old.

I see different photos in My Photo Stream on each of my devices.
Your device will keep up to 1000 photos, even if they are older than 30 days. Photos older than 30 days are removed from the iCloud server, so all devices may not have the same photos, depending on when you enabled My Photo Stream.
You may want to sync the older photos through iTunes to get them on your new iPad mini.

iPhone 5 requires iTunes 10.7 or greater to sync with your computer. You need to update iTunes on your computer. If running OS X, this requires OS X 10.6.8 or greater...Snow Leopard.
