Just got on to ipad and it says it has not been backed up in 4 weeks, it will not let me access any part of it. I can't turn it off, can't unlock it, and if I press OK nothing happens
Just got on my Ipad and it says it has not been backed up for 4 weeks. It will not let me turn it off, unlock it, and when I press OK it does nothing.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I clear up this Issue? Error Message: This iPad hs not been backed up for 3 weeks. Backups happen when the iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi.
I plugged it in and it is charging now. It will not allow me to unlock it and when I push the 'ok' button for the error message, it still appears....will not go away.
Do I just allow it to charge and it will automatically backup itself? If not, what do I do?Hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. This will restart the phone and give you access again.
To troubleshoot your iCloud backup, try deleting your last backup by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, swipe across your backup and tap Delete, then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on again. If it still won't back up, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup. -

My ipod was recently disabled and now says "connect to iTunes" although my ipod has never been synced to my Mac laptop it will not allow me to. I need help.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup (if you have an iCloud backup) see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
My Ipad has a message on the screenthat indicates that the unit has not been backed up for two weeks. When I press the OK icon nothing happens. I tried to shut the unit down and the red slider does not function.
A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.
