Just got Verizon FIOS 25/25 - Can't get max mbps under boot camp

I have Macbook Pro c2d unibody. I just got Verzion FIOS. Under Mac OS X Snow Leopard I am able to achieve max download and max upload speed. But under boot camp and windows xp sp3 I am only able to get half down, and almost full up. Does anyone know what the issue could be? I've updated my drivers and everything.

I'm using the stock wireless card on the macbook pro and the router is the one that verizon uses...not really sure what brand it is. I subscribed for the 25/25 line. I do get the max speed when I'm hard wired. I can also get max speeds when running under Mac OS X wirelessly.
The funny thing is my brother's laptop (an HP) will get closer to the 25 mbps (max speed) than mine, and he's 2 floors up. My thinking is that it might be a driver issue with boot camp?

Just got a new Ipad and can't get computer to recognize it.

I just got a new Ipad and when I hook it up to the computer it does not show up on my desktop or in itunes. And on the ipad screen it still is asking me to plug in the USB. I have tried 3 different ports, restarting both the computer and Ipad with no luck. Any suggestions?

I did not want to start a new msg so I will just comment on the iPad cover interfering with the keyboard connector. I like to leave the Apple case on all the time. Then I can just pick it up and go. I was a little disappointed when I tried to connect with the case on and had to take it off. I took a razor blade to the bottom of the case and cut out a section large enough to fit over the connector. It worked fine.

I just got Ivory 2 and I can't get it into logic

Thank you all anyway, I just realized I have to hold down the mouse and then Ivory will pop up under all instruments. I am a cubase guy so it's like starting all over again. I'm wondering if I made a mistake, could some of you out there let me know what you think in comparing the two

It may be that your not in the Expert mode in the pse 12 editor.
Enhance>Photomerge>Panorama is greyed out if your in the Guided or Ouick modes.

Just got a Movie Box and can't get it to work

I just purchased a movie box from Pinnacle in hopes of transfering some of my vhs tapes to the computer in a quick and painless fashion. This is proved to be anything but!
First of all, even though the box is Mac compatible, the software isn't. And there are absolutely no instructions on how to use it with a Mac. I beilieve that I have everything hooked up correctly but have no idea where to go from here. It doesn't "pop up" on the screen or anything, and I can't find anywhere in iMovie to connect to it or import anything. It's like the computer doesn't even recognize it.
I was in a previous discussion group that told me to go with the movie box. Are any of you still out there that could shed a little light on the subject for me?

I have one it works fine. yeah, the Mac instructions aren't great. Try this.
(1) make sure you have your VCR audio and video outputs connected to the side with the two selection switches.
(2) be sure you know the difference between the audio and video outputs no matter which colors you use.
(3) make sure the indicator light is green on cable that connects to your computers firewire port.
(4) when you operate the vcr through Imovie. you will only be able to play your vhs tape. so to fast forward or reverse. you must use your vcr remote or your hand.
(5) to import your footage just click on import in imovie.
That should solve your problem. Also, in the future put these questions in the imovie forum.

Just got new 4gb nano-where can I get dl for 7.4 version of itunes?

I just bought the 4gb nano, we already have the 30gb classic with 7.3 version of itunes but I need 7.4 or higher for the new nano. I checked the forums and I noticed all of the problems people are having with 7.5 so I want to dl the 7.4 version but I can't find the 7.4 version in the apple downloads. I have a Windows xp and I'm not sure if I have a service pack requires for 7.431 or whatever the one before 7.5 is. Can anyone give me a link to dl 7.4 and let me know if there were any problems with this version? I'm not even sure how it works after I dl 7.4. Will I have to remove the older version and re-install or will it automatically upgrade? I am nervous about losing all of my songs in my library or having problems since I am not that comp savvy. Can anyone help?

Your music will not not magically appear. Your music will only be where you put it.
You buy one download only. it is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Copy it from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

What happens when you press the sleep/wake button (also known as the on/off button) on the top edge of the iPad ? If the screen shows a cable with the iTunes symbol then you need to connect it to your computer's iTunes - getting started guide : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4053 . If nothing happens when you press the sleep/wake button then try pressing and holding both that button and the home button (the button on the front below the screen) for 10 to 15 seconds and see if the iPad then starts.

Windows ISO image, what is it and how can I get it to install boot camp?

I'm not very computer savvy, so if you want to help me out, all I ask is that you dumb things down for me I'm trying to install bootcamp on my computer. My ultimate goal is to install Mathcad. I'm stuck on the Windows ISO image step. I don't know what the ISO image is or where it is... This is what it all looks like. Please help!

If you have a networked printer, they sometimes have SD Card slots, USB thumbdrive slots, etc... and the printer offers to be a file server to share the contents of those removable camera storage devices.
It is possible your home WiFi router can also act as a printer server, or with a USB disk (or thumb drive) attached, a file server.
You could use a utility such as Bonjour Browser which will give you more information about the devices it sees on your home network
